  • We decided to remove the Axle Pivot pin to inspect it and really glad we did! It was in fact seized to the bush and there is significant wear on the pin. Being seized gave the impression it was nice and firm - too firm in fact! 😉
We've ordered replacement parts from www.anglo-agrip..., our channel sponsors. Take a look at their website before ordering your replacement parts.
    Thanks for watching.

Some things can be very different to what they appear, but it is important to have it right. I always enjoy watching you and Oscar's effort as you work together. Regards, Charles in Australia.

Hi Charles, thank you for your comment. It sometimes takes one or two goes before we work things out 😉 It’s all part of the fun! Thank you for your continued support 👍👍

A very good video with a very good end result.
I tried to remove my pin once, I was foolish enough to think by removing the bolt the pin would come straight out.
I have my Tea 20 all tucked away at the moment and is an up and coming project. Your videos along with Lance's videos on his current tea20 will prove so valuable when I start my refurb hopefully next year.
    Keep up the good work
    Dave. 👍

Hi Dave, thank you for your comment. I know you mean, it looks so innocent there with its little bolt supposedly holding it in place! 🤣🤣
Good luck with your project! The Ferguson is one of 3 major projects we have on at the moment, it is sometimes difficult to juggle and to know which to work on next, but we’re inching forward on all of them. 👍😉

Evening Gordon my front axle bush was worn badly but I managed to get it apart without to much difficulty but what I did was when I ordered a new bush cos my Lil grey is a early model I ordered the later model bush which is much more substantial just had to get my mate with his lath to make the axle beam hole slightly bigger to accommodate the bush and as a extra he made it so I can grease it he put a greaser in the top all I had to do is drill a hole in the radiator cowling to enable me to put the grease gun end on and pump away its easy and unvisable to the eye! Lol keep up the good work

Hi Jon, thank you for your comment and for this info. I’ve heard of others doing the same thing and it makes a lot of sense. I’m still considering which way to go on ours. 👍😉

Funnily I've just watched Bundy bear do exactly the same as what I've done to mine. What ever you decide to do can't wait to see the video. Keep up the good work very informative videos you share

I have only just now found your channel. Your work is very inspiring for others to do the same.
The main bracket assembly on my ted20 is so badly rusted that I need to replace it. However I can not find a replacement. Would you know where to purchase one? I have only found a replacement pin and bushes. Thanks

Hi Richard, thank you for your comment. I’m not entirely sure which bracket you mean. Most Axle parts can be found online although there are some that simply aren’t made any more. For example if you are referring to the bracket which bolts onto the front of the engine and forms the axis about which the axle pivots, I’ve not seen these for sale anywhere, new. If this is the one you mean then I’m afraid you only have 2 choices: probably the best is to find a donor tractor or someone who is breaking a Fergy, and which hopefully has a replacement in reasonable condition. The option may be to find a decent metal fabricator and see if they can make one, but I think this will be very expensive and not many people would be able to do this well. If it’s a different bracket you are referring to let me know a bit more. 😉👍

@@WaterhouseForde thanks for the reply. Yes I am referring to the whole assembly that bolts onto the engine. I have spend days searching but no luck. Thanks for your input

It’s a shame, I don’t know why someone doesn’t make them, it seems to be something that would definitely need replacing from time to time. If I come across anything myself I will let you know. 😉👍

It sure did! I was contemplating cutting it, but I don’t have access to Oxy so that would have been a tough gig too! 😉👍
