The insect world is SO underrated it's a whole other planet and way of life at those sizes and scales, the immersement potential is off the charts, I'm so happy to see it finally be appreciated in a game!
Also underwater games. There aren't enough deep sea or Marianis trench games.
It's the last frontier.

I remember playing Sim Ant way back when. To this day people still call it one of the most boring games of all time, but my 8-year-old self managed to have fun with it.
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to this.

There's no way Sim Ant is one of the most boring games of all time. You establish supply chains, muster your army to take down threats, and destroy the enemy colony. It's just an RTS game.

Absurd. Anyone who says that must have never bred endless soldier ants to defeat the Red Menace or otherwise battle the various enemies that required building small battalions of ants.
I've always imagined how awesome it would be to have a game where you play as an ant, exploring the tunnels and fighting other bugs in an ant army

I think it has the potential to be big yes, after doing some research their steam page emphasises the fact that you can progressively grow your colony and make "unusual" allies which is weirdly accurate to how some ants go. A buy for me if it is open world, crossing fingers.

This and Empires of the Undergrowth are going to be among my favorite-insect-based games.
wonderful modelling and lighting I am def gonna play this.
I'm curious how fun the gameplay will be but I'm absolutely astounded at how beautiful it looks.. I really enjoyed Stray on ps5.

A Bug's Life looks better than this soft modern pixelated trash. A Bug's Life was done by hand. This garbage is computer generated.
This game will give a different perspective on nature, even in just a couple of square meters, there is so much to see, i love it!

As a Frenchman 🇫🇷 i must say that i am really proud of what French Developers are doing in the Gaming Industry, most of the time with small budgets : Vampyr , Vampire Masquerade Swansong , Greedfall , A Plague Tale Innocence / Requiem , Assassin's Creed Mirage, Stray , and this Ant Game ...
I understand those projects might not be for everyone, please a lot of Gamers but, i sincerely do respect the fact that each of those games has its own identity ❤

Hasn’t Ubisoft stopped being French and more American nowadays (mirage didn’t have a small budget and isn’t a small studio either with many building projects pretty much everywhere on earth)

I hope clicking the ants, you get lines of dialogue taken from classic rts games ( warcraft, dawn of war, c&c, etc) but with puns about the ant world: need additional aphids, for the queen, etc
