I am not an FM9 fan but it has a killer tones and sounds with no mistake obviously. I have watched this video and listen on both on desktop speakers and headphones and the result is same. Thanks for the video and the good work 🤘🤘🤘

tried both, Boss has much less lag which might affect your play in a very positive way.

Sounds great! I love the dynamics, with the soft attack cleaning up nice! Sounds like a tube amp because of that thanks for the review bro!

Love the feel and tone i get from my GT 1000 Core...as good as the Fractal if you spend the time to dial in dual amp models...which the DSP power can support no problem..never runs out of DSP power.

great review! I'm on the fence with the FM9, FM3 or GT1000 ... all have their +/-; I did notice the FM9 was often running over 80% CPU? is that a concern? Does the GT1000 have any CPU type issues? great guitars, great review and great playing!

Thanks a lot for your message! Never had any cpu issues with the GT1000, so I guess it's quite powerful. But soundwise I'd prefer the Fractal units over the GT1000 nowadays. And also the Hotone ampero 2 stage and the Mooer GE300. 🤘🤗

My experience with both the FM3 Turbo and the GT-1000 Core is that they are both great at different things. The Boss requires more work to create killer presets for crunch and high gain tones that are as good, and sometimes better than the Fractal depending on where it needs to sit in the mix...i have found that the GT-1000 can cut through just about anything in a mix, big plus for recording or playing live. The Fractal has really nice out of the box presets compared to the Boss, more harmonically rich clean tone amps, and more refined detail in the tones if you listen to them in a quiet studio setting in stereo, but none of that comes through in a recording or live situation....good to keep in mind if you think throwing money at the Fractal is going to make you sound that much better. Then there is the fact that the GT-1000 can run 2 amps / 2 cabs, and all effects in it's chain at the same time without running out of DSP power...amazingly underrated power in this unit, one would argue more powerful than the Fractal...but i love them both...better to not have to choose.. :)

thanks much for the advice … since I posted my question … I’ve taken delivery of the latest Fractal FM9 MK II Turbo …. got it all set up running through my mixer and studio monitors … presets are awesome and I look forward to creating my own stuff …. Thanks again!

@@complexsaviour4296Thansk for your comment! I think, the Fractal can be eqed to sound more or less exactly like the GT1000. It's has very powerful EQs and the if you got access to an AxeFx, you can create a tonematch of the Boss! SO as far as eqing is concerned, I'd consider the Fractals to be superior. Also I wasn't that impressed by the short list of amp models in the Boss. That said, if you can't get good results with one of these units, you prolly won't get good tones with the othe oner either...I only wisgh, that both units would come with a proper touchscreen uiCheers! ☺😅

    Boss or the gp 200?

If you have the money, I'd chose the GT1000. Or even the new Headrush prime (although I haven't tried that). If you're on a budget, clearly the GP200.

Why have a shootout, you just stated that the FM9 is the best unit available! The FM9 definitely is the best, as long as it doesn't loose DSP power, which my fractals loose DSP in short time. Plus the Fractal is more than double that of the Boss. Yes this isn't a fair comparison at all!
