My taste of music came from skate videos before anything else.
Agreed! It was such wide variety of music throughout the vids. Definitely helped me expand my music taste from being just a punk rock kid.

We were at the demo where Scott Conklin fiftied the kinked rail in the Alien industry section. Kalis had the best tricks in the demo but the footage never surfaced as far as we know.
411vm #19 was the first skate video i bought back in 96 and is still one of my favorite videos. I was lucky enough to get a subscription in high school and still have all of my 411s to this day. Had so many of them on repeat while I was growing up
411 intro music is still the sound track to life

411VM was hard to find in my country but i remember i got a couple of bootleg recs and my fav from them was Best of Vol.5. Now your episode made me search for your favourite parts and issues. I am glad that they are on the youtube so i could enjoy them. Keep up the pod, it is fire!!!

i really liked capital decks, kinda interesting shape. i didn't realize they were chapman wood but, having also had zoo boards, looking back it makes sense. big nose, small tail, deep concave. it kinda seemed like there was no flat in the middle, like the concave was almost a u shape so made it seem deeper. i remember them being really stiff, which i like. good boards.
