Mercedes 250 Police and Ford Capri MK I Police. Renovation of Siku V 309 and V 310 models.

- In this video I present two Siku models from 1975. Both show police cars used in Germany. The Siku company created its models on a scale of 1: 60. The cars were very nicely made. They had so-called fast wheels, and the windows were made of fluorescent yellow-green plastic. Because they are very thin, they cracked over time and I had to make new copies of them. When renovating the Ford Capri model, I painted it differently than the factory one. Using the green decal, I created the same painting pattern as on the Mercedes originally sold. I equipped both models with boxes that I copied from computer scans of the original packaging. Thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Just fantastic, I prefer the yellow tinted glass to the green. What a professional job well done.
I use nail paint for the tail lights...it gives impression of translucent lenses.
Before I put the nail paint, I give it a base of chrome paint.
Apart from the tail lights... Rest is all magic of the wizard as usual.

The models are sensational. I have some Siku that are more recent and in excellent condition that I bought in 2014. I really like the brand, especially for the utility vehicles.
To były najlepszej jakości resorowce. Tylko miały wkurzający system otwieranych drzwi. Z czasem luzowały się i otwierały się same. Byłem bardzo rozczarowany, że samochdziki były idealne, a ta jedna rzecz niedopracowana

Tolle Arbeit. LS ist das Kennzeichen von Lüdenscheid (von 1974-1979), die Zahl die Autonummer. Gedacht war die Dachkennung um die Fahrzeuge auch aus der Luft zu identifizieren. Der Capri hatte also das Kennzeichen LS 3462 und der Mercedes LS 3461. Seit 1979 hat Lüdenscheid MK für Märkischer Kreis.

💞die Mercedes 250 habe ich noch 5 Stück nahezu in Neuwertig,habe die immer nur hingestellt,oder in Tücher eingewickelt weggelegt.. Also bei mir wäre der Paul arbeitslos...( Leider wurden mir viele SIKU's,Wikings und Märklin beim Umzug veklaut😢..

I like your idea vs just the plain white or vanilla color Capri Polizei..Although most was unmarked except for POLIZEI on the hood or roof in real life, I think they'd have looked better if marked in the traditional green/white like that Mercedes is, Maybe they kept them so plain as a stealth 🤔?
Tatsächlich waren die Modelle inspiriert durch drei Capri GT für die Autobahnpolizei irgendwo im Kölner Raum, und die waren immer komplett weiß. Neulich hat jemand einen solchen Capri hergerichtet, leider kein Original, da die wohl schon lange verschrottet waren.
Nice result, but the taillights are looking a bit 'free style'. I suggest to make adhesives in red and orange and cut them to the right size for each model.
Natürlich! Du schaffst es auch noch, die Bedruckung der Reifen nachzubilden! Warum kannst du nicht in meiner Nachbarschaft wohnen? Die Arbeit würde dir nie ausgehen. Nun, ich werde weiterhin mir die alten Sikus kaufen und mich an deinen Videos erfreuen!

Zu 'meiner Zeit' hatte ich die Heckflosse von Mercedes, den sogenannten Peterwagen, ganz in Dunkelgrün, und die weisse Porsche 911 Autobahnpolizei. 🚓
