If there's something I can say about Float Serves, it is LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING.
I'd rather receive a Jump Serve than a Standing/Jump Float Serve.

Majority of jump servers make the ball so fast, it’s hard to react

Actually I tried Tried to master Jump Spike Serve.. But after jumping I could not give enough force to the ball. One day I was Practicing My serve, I had hit the ball hard, My Senpais were watching, They said that I should go for floats instead of Jump spikes, Because the ball was floating like crazy and the receiver my other senpai who was the best libero in our field could not receive.... Those who thought That Yamaguchi's Serves are slow, You all are mistaken.. It takes the same power as you try to keep the ball calm slapping it with your palm.. Hope You all Understood.. I am playing as a setter for my team.. I was inspired from Kageyama, and tried the Jump spike serve.. But Couldn't do it.. :")

I think for men's volleyball it's very risky to do a float serve. Knowing that most of the players can receive hard jump serve, what more a floater? . . But it's just difficult to read.
