- Kentucky Bourbon is known worldwide and is a staple of the American spirits industry. Nowhere else are there so many famous bourbon brands all within a short drive from each other as there are in Kentucky. Amie and I spent the better part of a week trying many of the different distilleries and made this video to showcase how amazing this area is, especially if you like bourbon.
**Note that this video was shot in January of 2020, so the information in it may be different now. Double check it before visiting**

Haha hey I was your tour guide at Angels Envy. You can see my watch during the tasting scene. So glad you enjoyed it! Come back and see us
So awesome! Thanks for the great tour!
Please stop requiring tour to taste!
Adam. How much are tours? #handdippedwaxbottles. Yeeeeeeeeeeees!!! Fkfkfjc
I was there in October 2022. Absolutely great.
Buffalo Trace and makers Mark were absolutely beautiful and amazing and made my trip to Kentucky worth it all
“We didn’t take the tour but we did do the bourbon tasting’
Glad to see someone has their priorities straight.
Great video!
As someone who has taken most of the tours on the bourbon trail, I would recommend the speak easy tour at Evan Williams if you plan on doing multiple tours because while most of the tours have their own unique information, for the most part all of the tours tell you the same information. The speakeasy tour at Evan Williams experience is one of the most memorable tours I have taken but I have to say I have never taken a bad tour at any of the bourbon distilleries I have visited. Also if you are looking for a smaller distillery to visit one of my favorites is Castle and Key. They have beautiful grounds and while they are fairly new so they don’t have any actual bourbons ready yet, their first batches will be ready in 2022 and while you wait their other spirits are some of the best!
I would agree this tour was something different. Entertaining.
I'm a whiskey/bourbon guy and have never been... But so badly want to. So I appreciate this video and the depth you took to explain it all!
Same! I am a bourbon fanatic and I haven't been to any of the distilleries! I say we get a random group together and go!
@@smashadams85100 that would be cool!! I'm in!
Looking forward to doing this soon. Thank you for taking us along.
The Bourbon Trail has been on my to-do for a while, after watching your video I am even more excited to go
Good info, I will go back and hit more when the virus is settled down.
we went to Wild Turkey Sept of 2020. only place doing any kind of tour / tasting because of covid . I Was looking forward to meeting Jimmy Russel and have him sign a bottle of Russel reserve. They said they are keeping Jimmy out for his safety because he is 86. So we went to dinner at a local dive/diner. Guess who walked in Jimmy and his wife. Got a picture with him and spoke about bourbon as long as he wanted to until his dinner came. What a very nice gentlemen. He made my trip
What a way to spend a night glade you had fun
A really informative and fun video. I had no idea there were so many distilleries and how much time it would take. I love learning the history of places as well. I would certainly vote for you to make a video on how to effectively plan your time to visit as many as possible.
Great video . I am looking forward to taking the bourbon trail tour as soon as life gets back to normal as possible. Thanks for the virtual tour
Nice job on the video. My wife and I did 13 of the distilleries in Spring of 2019. I actually agree with most of your comments regarding each tour. The Four Roses tour is really good and you learn a lot. We actually did tours on all of the distilleries we visited, which may seem overwhelming, but we actually learned a lot of different things from each one.
I am planning a trip now and your video helped get my wife excited about going. Great videography showing the beautiful grounds and distilleries.
Really like this trip. Always amazing. Super thanks!
No one does all your adventures better. You are the best!
Love it! Can wait to see next ep for planing the trip as I plan to follow you to visit KY
I've lived in Indianapolis for 30 some years, and some of these places I've been wanting to go to. After watching your video, I'm even more determined to go. Thanks for the posting...
Absolutely loved this video. It was very helpful and well made.
I thought about this while driving through Kentucky! Fun trip in the future! Thanks for the video.
Did many of the distillery’s shown, a must do for anyone that appreciates bourbon! 🥃😋
I am now hooked on your channel. You have the ability to make us feel like we are there with you
Great video. Very informative and to the point. Going to KY in October and I'll definitely be using this video as a guide while planning the trip! Cheers!
What a great tour. Thanks so much for this video.
What a great overview of the bourbon trail, quite an education into the history as well. Sales of bourbon declined every year from the 1970s through 2006, but then began a remarkable recovery and prosperity never seen before. Two things that contributed to that change is that the Kentucky legislature permitted sale and consumption of individual drinks at the distilleries, which had been forbidden, and they also allowed direct shipment of bourbon outside the state. Enjoyed the video.
Really great video - thanks for putting it out there!
Great overview! Heading there in April and this was helpful in downselecting which to see and tour.
Thanks for sharing man. I love me some bourbon and seeing some footage of these tours were fun to watch
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the comment
Awesome video mate. Really informative and well put together.
Me and my wife will be going on the bourbon trail this coming May and I can't wait. Your video gave me goose bumps and made me feel like a kid at a candy store, thanks!
The perfect way to end this week-end !!! Thanks you
Enjoy!
Great video!
Definitely sets a great example of what I should be working towards.
Great video as always! Glad you got to Old Forrester. It’s a truly underrated, really excellent whiskey.
How fun! We did the trail 9 or 10 years ago. Stayed in a haunted house in Bardstown. Loved watching the ladies hand dip at Maker’s Mark! We also visited Heaven Hill, Jim Beam, Four Roses, Wild Turkey & Woodford Reserve. Loved Kentucky & The Bourbon Trail (and I don’t even like Bourbon) - gorgeous and fascinating history! We named our old Lab Lexie after Lexington, as we were driving by it when my friend was grabbing her out of the shelter for us...
This is a much needed video. Thank you!
Thanks for putting my home state in the spotlight. Great job on this video and the one on Louisville.
Four Roses was probably my second or third favorite actually, I enjoyed the ones that appeared very old.
Thank you for the video , I'm planning a trip next yr and this helps a ton
We just went in October and some of the distilleries were starting to open back up. Great video!
I never used to take these kinds of tours, but we went to Bushmills and Jamison when over in Ireland/Northern Ireland and now I want to visit them all! And now we can’t. Hopefully soon!
What a great video! Thank you for sharing tips and tricks!
Great video as usual. I want to travel the Bourbon trail!😊
On my bucket list. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this video
Good video. As a proud Louisvillian, thanks for the straightforward portrayal of what we call bourbonism. I think the Four Roses building is beautiful on the outside, but the inside felt very industrial.
That is a good trip Hope you had fun
Toured Buffalo Trace in Dec. 2020. Outstanding, highly recommend it. I would like to hit Woodford and Angel Envy if ever out that way again.
Really enjoyed the entire video. A few weeks ago one of my best friends dropped into the Woodford Reserve property to pock up my favorite as a retirement gift: Woodford Double Oaked, and your video makes it even more special! Can't wait until I can personally tour myself.
I love Double Oaked!
Wonderful video ,this makes me proud to be a Kentuckian... Thank you!
Our pleasure!
Very interesting and informative video. Wonderful bit of history. Thank you. Tried to check out your gear shop site but it seems to be down.
This was awesome 😎 thanks!
Thank you for the great video I have several family there often try to catch a distillery when I'm in town
That is awesome! So many great ones!
When things start to go back to normal come to Maine and do the Maine Beer Trail. We also have a bunch of new distilleries that have been popping up over the years.
Thanks for a great video. Really well done👍👏🏻👏🏻🥃🥃
Great job filming and editing this!
Nice video, well done, many changes at some of those distilleries since Covid, Woodford now has 5 copper stills, Wild Turkey has renovated the tasting room and Wilderness Trail has expanded a lot too. Bourbon is booming at the moment !!
Thanks for the video. Great job..
Thank you for this video.
This is great. Next time my friends suggest we go to Napa Valley California for a wine tasting tour I’m gonna say, “No! Let’s go to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail!”
Sweet video! We are headed back in May.
Well done video. Thanks
Neither my wife nor I drink...and yet we love these types of tours for the history. I watched this to compare what we saw/did with yours. We have not been to all of them, but like Maker's Mark, Jim Beam, and Four Roses tours the best. I would also recommend a tour of Jack Daniels Distillery in TN and for other "food" tours try the Tillamook Cheese Factory in OR, Tabasco Factory Tour in LA, and the Chocolate World in PA.
Hi, Thank you for a terrific video.
Great video! 👍
Prob will do this in 2022 once everything calms down and opens back up.
If anyone is close to Maker’s Mark distillery you can also tour the cooperage in Lebanon, KY and see how the barrels are made. Need reservations though.
Really like your channel and Dad is excellent! Very very interesting and great cinematography.
I hope that after January 20th that your 2021 is brighter 🤗
Thank you very much! Appreciate your comment and looking forward to 2021!
That looks very enjoyable!
It was!
Makes me want to take up pro‐drinking! But seriously...great video. I was born and move away at a young age in Southern Ohio but I have visited that area several times. However, I had no idea about these tours. It is now in my must see list in 2022 on our cross country retirement trip. Thanks!
🥂Happy New Year!🥂
Your are a natural at this!
Our first bourbon tour was in 2009 and plan to do another. Thanks for the video and suggestions. We will definitely take your suggestions!
Great video! We plan on visiting this year! 🥃
Such a perfectly named channel :-). Great videos, really enjoy them...
Great video, really informative!
Glad it was helpful!
What a great video.
Great video!
This was an awesome video! One day I'll make it down!
Great video Josh! Just curious to know which bourbon did you enjoy the most? I am lucky that Ohio is next to KY!
Nice job. Had plans on doing this in late spring 2020, but plans changed.
Great video 🤙
Going on the trail next month, CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Are there any cigar bars you can recommend while out there doing tastings?
That’s nuts dood!
Nice video. Well done.
Great content
A very enlighening video, really complete. I have this dream of visiting this area of USA, a distillery tour. I am looking for information about prices.
very good video I will be doing this hopefully this summer 2021
Lots of great places to eat in Louisville too.
Well done brother
Great tour video. We were there several years ago, but planning to take our neighbors
That's awesome! I would love to go back as well
Nice job on this video.
Have to do this when the Pandemic is over good video 🏆
Yea for sure! Thanks for watching
Hello brother how are you

Big fan love from Bangladesh ❣️🌹💐💐💐🎈
Happy new year 💐🎈🎈
Great video
A friend of mine owns an antique store and a customer was buying stuff from him. The customer asked my friend if he buys things from customers. The answer was "Sometmes, just depends"
My friend usually calls me first whe he gets new items in so I can have first choice to buy. Well, in this situation the customer brought in 5 boxes of liquor. The story goes like this. " The g's dad once owned a bar and passed away. So these bottles of liqor have been sitting and he wanted to get them out of the way"
I went to look and asked what the price would be. I bought all 5 boxes. Once I got the boxes home it tured there is a unopen 1.5L of Scheneley American Whiskey (c.1964) and 10 boxes of Scheneley "Souvenir Six-Pac" - These are 6 different miniature 5.5 inch tall bottles with Scheneley's popular whiskey at the time. Has the tax stamp dated 1964---- unopned and never been touched.
I know there are collectors out there looking for this stuff. The value of the souvenir boxes can not be found anywhere
A plan your visit video would be great!!
Thanks for posting this video very informative! We're planning to visit Kentucky. How did you purchase the tour tickets? Did you book it ahead of time from the distillery websites?
Thanks
Bourbon tour! Don't really like the spirit but seems very interesting, I love going on tours of how things are made. Favorite so far is the Tillamook in OR and the Tabasco one in LA, would love to do the Ben and Jerry one but seems so out of place, and not sure worth a trip by itself to go all the way up to northeast, but going to try the Jelly Bean one this year. Wonder if they have one for KFC. Kentucky's greatest gift to the world!
I agree, it is a lot of fun to see how all of this is made! The Jelly Bean tour is a lot of fun, and I would love to do the Tabasco one someday!
That was a great video. I am planning to do it early next year. How many days do you think I should allow? I would like to see as many as possible. I'm retired and planning to use my RV for this adventure.
Willett in Bardstown is worthwhile too.
Bourbon on the rocks , I L❤️VE IT
Jim Beam*
The Boundary Oak outside of Fort Knox is miltary themed. It s local still. On the craft trail, 10/10
