@@ChronicalDamage bit late replying but from one learner to another, the X means the string isn't played (try to miss it when you strum on that note.) and O means open string. I.e no fingers on that string.

I find most of tutorials on CZcams confusing due to the lack of the vocals, which are basically the only thing from the song I know, so this was extremely helpful, especially the strumming pattern diagram. Thanks for this lad.

Thanks for this. Every single version of this tutorial that I’ve found has a slightly different strumming pattern on the A7sus4 in the beginning. I tried every one that I could find but none of them sounded quite like the record until this one

Wow ... I've been learning guitar for 6 months and have been so frustrated with tutorial videos because most don't provide a visual to read whilst playing along. I also find GuitarTabs incredibly difficult to follow (its so hard without actually hearing what the acoustic guitar is supposed to sound like). This is the best format I have seen!! Thank you, this is going to make learning this song so much easier! I hope you have many other songs like this !!!

Thank you for this!!!! I found this about 2 months ago and have hacked at it almost every day. I can finally play a song that I have loved for 27 years. This approach is far superior to any other online, especially for a song where the strumming makes it. Johnny B Goode is next!!
30 years old, my 3rd attempt to learn how to play a guitar (2 classical and now electric) and finally, with your tutorial I've learned my first song!
It is not perfect, I play it on electric instead of accoustic/classic but man.. it is an amazing feeling to make something with your own hands,
