  • For centuries, the Ottoman Empire had operated with many different ethnicities within its borders. These different ethnicities, or “millets”, had some autonomy and maintained their own religions and languages. During the First World War, a new government in Istanbul carried out attacks on Armenian communities, claiming that they were a threat to national security. The Ottomans forced Armenians to flee their homes and into labor camps, and systematically massacred their communities. The atrocities provoked international outrage. From 1915 to 1917, over one million Armenians died.

Turkey wants us to call it Anatolia , but it was really the Armenian Highlands . By calling it Anatolia it conceals the fact that it was Armenia and original inhabitants , the Armenians living there . Anatolia is Greek term, it means Eastern Land(s) . It was just to describe direction of land but that land was Armenian Highlands .
It is not just the Genocide of 1915 1.5 million murdered (now estimated closer to 2 million) or the estimated 300,000 Armenians massacred in the 1895 etc.. People need to understand and know the history that Turkey is misleading the world.
Majority of Turkey and Azerbaijan you see today was Armenia . Even the northern edge of Iran was the Armenians. Around early 1200 AD began the migration of the Turkic Tribes from Turkmenistan area in Asia and settling in Armenia . When Ottoman Empire formed in 1299 AD , the Ottoman Turks conquered Armenia. This area was of great importance as it was central point of Europe , Middle East and Asia. After years of millions Armenians killed , when the Ottoman Empire fell you see today the new Ethnicity Turkey and Azerbaijan .
Turkey today is not the exact same ethnicity as their original roots . Over the years they mixed with Armenians, Greeks, Hungarians etc… The original darker complexion and slight oriental eyes have now become more “European” features . In the time of mixing races , the Turkish ethnicity has evolved and taken foods from different cultures such as the Armenians, Greeks and other Mediterranean dishes. Armenian Rugs , even ancient Artifacts that belong to the Armenian ancestors , Turkey has changed the name to deceive . For example , the Gobekli Tepe, (12,000 years old) is Armenian monument and the original name is Porta Sar. This is why many historians have a break in historians and can’t connect the dots. But more are starting to know the truth and see evidence that Armenians that built the Kara Hunj, Porta Sar (Gobekli Tepe) , Karajan Tepe, etc.. in Turkey also built Karkas in france, stone henge in Britain and Calanais in Scotland . Sadly Turkey continues to bully , incriminate and murder their historians if they speak and teach the truth . Taner Ackam is Turkish historian who speaks the truth of Turkey.
Azerbaijan , on the other hand was formed after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire , the Russian/Soviets took the Armenian land and distributed it to the new Azeri ethnicity . The Azeri are a mixed race of mostly Iranian, Tatar and Turkic . They claim to be of “Albanian” descendants that lived there (and different from Albania country) . But there is no historical fact or proof of such people existing there. The Armenians inhabited that land and later also the Iranians eastern half of Azerbaijan you see today . It’s insulting to see their lies when they show videos of Ancient Armenian monuments and Artifacts and claim to be “their ancestors” when the writing you see in there is clearly Armenian . Heck even their alphabet was created in the 1900’s .
Both Turkey and Azerbaijan have an agenda to spread misinformation in Wikipedia and published false history books . But historians that know the truth are now growing in numbers and the missing history is once more being connected with the truth . I can only share what I found , it’s time for your to see the truth . Don’t just rely on bogus sites , video clips or Wikipedia . You heard the truth now you know what to research .

What nationalists don't understand is in the "Armenian Highlands" not just the Armenians, the Kurds and the Turks lived also. Thus calling it Anatolia is the best option because calling it Armenian Highlands casts shadow in the rich ethnic diversity of the region.

    Some questions and comments:
Were ethnic Armenians a minority in their historical land?
Did the Russian (Tsar Nicholas) emperor help the Armenians, and not betray them, leaving unarmed people alone against the brutal Ottoman army through a cunning agreement with the Turkish leaders?
Why did Germans supply canons and weapons to the Turkish government?
Similar to NATO, which armed the Turkish government after World War II.
    Question to NATO - why?
When Turkey was surrounded by poor countries. And the USSR was hardly able to attack the Turks, because Stalin had already given the Turks a huge part of the Armenian Highlands as a gift under the fraternal agreement of 1921.
    Facts:
The 1911 census showed that the population of the Ottoman Empire was approximately 13 million. Ethnic Armenians about 4/4.2 million, Turks 5.5 million, ethnic Kurds 2.5 million, and other ethnic groups 1.5 million.
1.5 million were killed, 1.5 million remained unknown (fled or were killed), and the rest converted to Islam to survive.
It is strange that non-ethnic nomadic tribes created an empire and became dictators over all ethnic groups living in the Armenian Highlands.
According to the 2000 census, there were less than 30 thousand ethnic Armenians, 55 million Turks, 23 million Kurds, and the remaining 3/4 million.
It was not only a terrible genocide but also a deliberately planned act of genocide to eradicate Christian Armenians. The Ottomans knew for sure that in 50 years there would be 20 million ethnic Christian Armenians, and they would demand freedom, and then the Turks could not have done anything else.
For this reason, the Ottomans agreed with the Kurds and Germans to begin the fictitious resettlement of ethnic Christian Armenians as soon as possible. The Ottoman Empire precisely planned that during this fictitious migration, they should kill all the Armenians.
Ethnic Kurds were promised the land of ethnic Armenians.
The Germans were promised to control all roads from the Black Sea to Asia.
The Turks promised Tsar Nicholas brotherly relations with the Ottoman Empire - no more war.
Consequence: All nations living in Turkey increased approximately 10 times, but Armenians did not.

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
      2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
      Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Just one thing: It wasn't the Armenians who were the first community to convert to Christianity, this is a mainstream historical falsification. For people who does not know I will try to explain in English. First of all the very term Anatolia is older than Turkish presence in Anatolia. The word itself has its roots in ancient Greek. On top of that Armenian presence in Anatolia increased during Turkification of Anatolia which begins around the year 860 and continues to this day. Before Turks started migrating into Anatolian plateau it was under the rule of Eastern Roman Empire and they were not kind to Armenians to say the least. Even at one point they were seen as public enemies and presecuted. So when Turks under the rule of Seljuks decided to face Eastern Roman Empire in Manzikert, there were Armenian mercenaries in Seljuk army. This was a start of a long lasting relationship among Turks and Armenians.
Turks took over Anatolia pretty quickly. Seljuks, after facing several waves of crusaders and a Mongol invasion, left their place to Ottomans. During Ottomans Armenian population was reveared respectable and they were even given a title which was "Millet-i sadık-a" which you can translate to the "loyal nation". But Ottomans were an islamic empire so they were only allowing muslims to join the army until the very end. So during foundation, rise and fall of the Ottomans non-muslim citizens of the empire were mainly focusing on crafts or trades. But all that's changed in late 19th and early 20th centuries.
In 1789 French revolution took place and with it the ideal of Nationalism was spreading all over Europe like rapid fire. Greeks revolted and backed by Europeans they gained their independence in year 1832. That was followed by some others like Bulgars and Serbians or Romania. This episode of history meant constant war for Ottomans. During this episode Muslim Turkish population of Anatolia was basically diminished. Armenians did not rebel against the Empire during this period. One of the reasons for that was that they were very well established by that time, they had money, they held monopolies on certain trades, they were becoming high ranked military or government agents and so on. They were even able to send their kids to Europe for education.
In early 20th century Ottoman Empire changed its approach towards non-muslim entities within the empire. They were no longer excluded from the military service, they have lost their minority privileges. Then started The Great War. Those Armenian kids who were sent to Europe for education started forming political bands such as Dashnak Sutyun or Hinchaks with one goal, which was to carve an Armeian country out of the weakening Ottoman Empire. In order to reach their goal those extremists started revolting in certain places, they assasinated Ottoman government officials abroad and homeland, they even tried to assasinate the sultan himself by planting a bomb on his vehicle. On parallel to that they initiated guerilla warfare in Anatolia. They were killing military, government and civilians alike and destoying villages in hopes of scaring off what's left from already divindling muslim population from Anatolia. They were sabotaging communications, destroying roads, bombing trains. All during World War 1. Even enlisted Armeian youngs were deserting the Ottoman army to join the Russians and so on. At one point they were even able to capture the city of Van and they held the city for a long time after massecaring the muslim population, to later deliver the city to the Russians. All before 1915.
While these horrid things were happening in Anatolia, Russia was struggling and their allies had only two option to bring help to them. One was through Baltic sea which was protected by Germans, the other and only reasonable option was to bring the aid through Dardanels and Bosphorus narrows while taking the Ottoman capital hence isolating Germans. But something unexpected happened, Turks were defending their capital with everything they got, so the greatest armada known to history failed to reach its goal and Russia was forced out of the war. Bolshevik revolts took place and Russians decided they already had too much on their plate so they abondaned the Easten front. This was bad news for the rebelious Armenians. They've had lost their biggest sponsor.
At this point WW1 was still going on, but Ottomans were losing on many fronts. They have had already lost Libya, Egypt, Hijaz, Yemen, Palastine or losing. They had to act fast so in 1915 they decided to move the Armenians out of the sensitive zones; which was the entire Anatolia, excluding Istanbul and Arab provinces; to be safe, just in case if Russia decided rejoin the war. The forced migration order issued and Armenians were forced to move to Syria, away from the eastern front. During this migration Ottomans tried to prevent losses but they couldn't really protect those people from the elements. First revenge killings took place, people were reactingt to what has been done to them. Then came irregulars, they were mostly interested in money and slaves, then starvation and sickness started claiming lives. That was a tragedy. But Ottomans never tried to erase an entire race out of the existance. If anything they even tried to prevent it. They even hanged people who were deemed responsible for some of the actions took place against Armenian civilians.
Anyway some of the Armenians reached the destinations which were set for them by the empire, some fled, some hid among locals; mostly women; married into non-Armenian families. After all that Ottoman's lost Syria to French and Armenians decided to join up with the French this time against their own country and they even invaded southeastern cities like Maraş, Antep, Adana, Urfa. But the local resistance was too strong and their French patrons were not willing to risk their necks for them, so they had lost and forced to retreat back into French controlled Syria and Lebanon. Later, most of the Armenians migrated to France, USA and many other places. That's how they became an effective disapora. This is why they are able to twist the truth. Armenia declined every offer that Turkey has made in past 50 years on creating an international committee to study these claimes and investigate what really took place. But they are not really interested in facts, all they want is attention and recognition. This is why all the fuss about. In fact this was a full on civil war with casualties on both sides.

Script:« Chances are you’ve heard the word “genocide” before. The Holocaust during World War II was considered an act of genocide, for example. But do you know the full definition ? The term “genocide” was coined by Polish lawyer Raphael Lemkin in his 1944 book “Axis Rule in Occupied Europe.” It comes from the Greek genos-race and ethnity-and cide-murder. The United Nations defines genocide as the mass extermination of a group of people based upon that community’s race, religion, ethnicity or nationality with the intent to destroy (…)
By the 19th century, Ottoman rulers began to view Armenian communities along the Russian border as a threat. Russia was a longtime enemy of the Ottomans. The Muslim community believed that the Armenians might turn on them if there were a war. So, Ottoman rulers attempted to dilute the Armenian community by resttling majority Muslim populations among them. In addition, some Turks and Kurds envied Armenians. They perceived Armenians as better off than themselves, with more wealth and higher literacy rates. Of course, this tension was based more on perception than fact.
After the assassination of the archduke in 1914, major European states declared war on each other. The Ottoman Empire, under the control of the Turks, aligned with Germany and Austria-Hungary. They would fight against the Entente, including Russia. The war renewed Turkish beliefs that Armenians would turn against the Ottomans and fight alongside Russia. The Turks also believed that the Armenians and Christian groups were getting in the way of achieving a more Turkic, Muslim empire. In the early years of the war, Armenians alongside Turks and Kurds against Russia and the Entente. However, after losing a major battle against Russia in 1915, the Turks began to blame Armenians for the loss.
Rumors soon spread that groups of Armenians were staging a rebellion. This created more hostility towards Armenians, both inside and outside of the military. In order to prevent rumored revolts, the Ottoman government ordered Armenian communities to be forcefully relocated from border areas and military fronts. Armenian soldiers had their weapons confiscated.
Described as « sitting ducks », some of these men were sent to labor camps. Then hundreds were taken out to deserted areas and shot. As historian Ronald Grigor Suny wrote in “A History of the Armenian Genocide,” “What evolved rapidly into genocide “began as sporadic massacres “ that, following a colossal defeat, “resulted in political panic, despair, and a thirst for vengeance.” The extermination of the Armenian people had begun.
Some Turkish officials in Istanbul tried to warn their Armenian friends. One official quietly told his friend, “A new storm is about to break upon the Armenians, so I hope that you will save yourself.” The recommendation was to leave for Europe immediately, without regard for property or investments. Many managed to escape ; some fled to Europe and others to America, but more horrors were to come. The relocation efforts soon turned into mass extermination, especially in the areas along the fronts and in rural provinces. Turkish and Kurdish soldiers forced whole families to march away from their homes. Their houses and possessions were later sold to the highest bidder. Bands of Ottoman soldiers marched through Armenian villages and tortured inhabitants. Armenian houses were robbed.
Churches were stripped and religious icons left in the mud. Turkish officials attempted to justify this violence by stating that these acts were in retaliation for Armenian rebellion. They claimed that Armenians in the eastern provinces must be removed or eliminated.
Fear and rumors continued to stoke the flames of violence. Some Armenians did rebel against the slaughtering of their people. This allowed Turkish authorities to justify increased removals and killings. One official ordered that all Armenian men over the age of 12 should be killed. Armenian women were raped and murdered or taken by Turkish men as wives. Small children became orphans. Some were adopted by Christian missionaries and others by Turkish families.
Christians in other parts of the world, in particular Europe and America, heard reports of Armenian persecution Organizations were formed to provide aid to a Christian community thousands of miles away. Some ambassadors living in Istanbul worked to convince Turkish officials to stop the violence. Nothing seemed to work. The American ambassador to Istanbul, Henry Morgenthau, Sr., described events as « a campaign of race extermintation ». From 1915 to 1917, over one million Armenians died. Most were executed as they journeyed to labor camps. They were buried in mass graves or burned. Some resisted, but any resistance provided officials with an excuse to justify their actions. After the war, some of the Turkish leaders who ordered the killings were brought to trial but only a few were punished. Others escaped, mainly to Germany.
In the years that followed, some of these men were assassinated by Armenians who sought revenge. To this day, the Turkish state maintains that the mass killing of Armenians did not happen or was justified. However, most major powers in the world recognize and memorize this period as the Armenian Genocide: the mass extermination of an ethnic or religion group»

Spot on, but want to emphasis that this genocide mainly occurred as the turks wanted a pure muslin state , not because the Armenians were of any threat to them. To this day this crime has not been punished, the turks still do not acknowledge what they did as they do not want to repay or give land back to the Armenians. Instead they support current (as in 2023) military actions being conducted by Azerbaijan (another Turkish state) to kill more Armenians and take whatever land Armenians still have. The standard of proof in establishing the crime of genocide is formidable given the severity of the crime, the opportunity for overlap with other crimes, and the stigma of being charged with or found guilty of the crime. While presenting the Convention for ratification, the Secretary General of the U.N. emphasized that genocide is a crime of "specific intent," requiring conclusive proof that members of a group were targeted simply because they were members of that group. The Secretary General further cautioned that those merely sharing political aims are not protected by the convention.+

There was some principalities and seigniories but they were not independent exactly because Byzantium was the ruler of that region and the Armenians were subject to Byzantium. The first Armenian deportation was carried out by Byzantium in 1020s and the Armenians in Van were sent to inner Anatolia and the Armenians faced with a lot of oppression due to denominational differences. This is why Armenians were at daggers drawn with Byzantians, in fact, until 1071 when Turks literally arrive at Anation, four Armenian principalities were laid low by Byzantium personally. In short, Armenians were not an independent folk. And interestingly, the big top independency was brought by Turks.
Beforehand Alp Arslan concluded an agreement with David the Armenian king whom he protected. Later on, in the reign of Melikshah, Armenians were released from a quite amount of tax. Basically, since the time of Seljuq and later on the establishment of Ottoman Empire, even the reign of Othman, Armenians and Turks were living in amity.
Additionaly, not only the Armenian patriarchate Havakin was officially recognized immediately, but also in the reign of Fatih, the Armenian patrician was invited to İstanbul and a new patriarchate in Galata was established. So that Armenians could live quite free, privileged and had religious freedom in the times of Ottoman and Seljuq.
Armenians were also exempted from military service and were allowed to be assigned to important seats in government, for that matter they are named for “millet-i sadıka” meaning “faithful nation.” And when examined, it is seen that until 1800s, Turks and Armenians were living peacefully up to the hint.
However, as time passes, when Ottoman started to die down, and the seats that Greeks left were given to Armenians, especially when various consulates and clerkships mostly were controlled by Armenians, which this hegemony reached its climax in the time of Ali Pasha, Armenians meant to gradually get rid of Turks and surround themselves with their relatives and cognates. It can be seen even today.
When a man becomes a minister, a mp or a mayor, he starts to surround himself with all his acquaintances. Armenians in Ottoman era did the same thing. However, due to the fact that Armenian faith and Ottoman faith which is islam confronted, the rift appeared in time. Whereas, Armenians, in a way, managed to survive thanks to Turks. if it were not for Turk eponyms; Ottoman and Seljuq, the name of Armenians due to the outrage of Byzantium and Europe would stay in history books at its best.
Yet, even the reason behind the establishment of Armenia was to object to Ottoman. We are talking about an Armenian meinie who gave 40 piastre tax annually, were not called for military service, had liberty of trade and of religion, were conferred on barraty, so to speak, living way more easefully than Turks in Ottoman lands.
So, how did everything get to be this way? That’s pretty cliche. First- propaganda; Second- nationalism. In the nineteenth century, nationalism became widespread meaning that everyone wanted to have an autonomous identity. Because Ottoman became so weak that foreign forces wanted to divide, split the Ottoman Empire and take the benjamin’s portion, which it was seen even in WWI.
The French in Mediterranean, in east the Russian, the Greek in Aegean and in İstanbul and in its round the British, in short, different nations occured on all sides of the country and they eventually started to fight with each other to have the biggest slice of the cake. And it’s a process, i mean that before the WWI, Ottoman was gradually divided throughout one hundred years, having lost lands in all regions, some revolts occured and the folk, solidly grew away from being a subject of Ottoman.
After all, because a Christian community living in an islamic georaphy was in the question, no matter if they had benefit from that or not, many countries tried their hands at that under the disguise of “brotherhood in Christ.” The projects started in the eighteenth century. Primarily, France sent some missionisers to catholicise Armenians and then with the interferences by other countries, approximately ten percent of armenians became protestant.
So, Armenians splitted among themselves, therefore they could not correspond with Ottoman since they could not achieve unity even among themselves. Armenians firstly became an enemy for Ottomans and then with the fire of nationalism, they want to build a country of their own. Of course, it had occured through that hundred-year time lapse. As i have stated before, there was a plenty of battles, revolts or contributions carried out behind the curtain.
Exempli gratia, the city of Erivan where was possessed by Iran was conquered by Russians in the time of Russian-Persian war in 1829 and tzar Nicola the First made a statement by saying “This incident is the day when the Armenians’ independence.” Since that day, a new correlation between Russians and Armenians has started to be made and that relation was based on the hostility towards Ottoman and this idea has been imposed in every chance.

For example, between circa 1853 and 1856, after the battle between Russia and Ottoman; Russia, though used to use the term “Asia of Turkey”, after the Paris Conference in 1856, started to use the term “Armenia” whereas there was neither such country nor Ottoman had lost that regions, so they were talking about a non-existed country and imposed the idea of a probable country in the future on the society.
With this fire, they worked hand-in-hand with Russia, Britain and other countries. That was not consist only of sharing a few maps or making up countries such as Armenia or Kurdistan. After the Edict of Reform in 1856, Robert College and American College of Merzifon and this kind of schools started to impose some ideas such as Ottoman hatred, Armenian nationalism on society even when in primary school age.
Teachers propagandized with insistances as “Ottomans made a massacre, they mow down Armenians, if it were not for Ottoman, there would be a great country called Armenia but Ottoman forestalled.” The generation was bred up to such ideologies, when they were old enough to have adequately important seats in 1890s-1900s, it was inevitable that they would like to actualize these ideas.
1800s was very tough for Ottoman. Almost in every trench there was either a revolt or was against another country. When it was 1877, the outbreak of a war (Russo-Turkish war) - which we call “93 Harbi”* (War of 93) - in Balkans and Caucasia to achieve Panslavism by Russians made everything even worse.
Because Ottoman had lost the war and had to ask for peace. Russians could make towards Istanbul after Plevne had been occupied. The war ended in 31th of January in 1878 with the armistice in Edirne and the peacetalks that paved the way for the Treaty of San Stefano also known as treaty of Yeşilköy had been given a start.
So to say, these talks were not so beneficial for Ottoman Empire. Moreover, during these discussions, Armenian patriarch Nerses Variabedyan and some Armenian leaders had negotiated with the grand duke Nikolai, tzar’s brother and managed to have them add an article about Armenians to the treaty. Consequently, the name of Armenians, first time in the history, is used in an official concordat and that was the first step toward the autarchy. However, this treaty was just on paper, not actualised because England foresaw that, by this treaty, Russia became over-powerful and demanded a new conference, which it didn’t acted just as a demand. Then Britain not only sent an armada to Istanbul but also having accorded with Austria (Oesterreich) then massed a lot of soldiers to the Danube region.
So, Russia was not sufficient for a second war so it had to accept the conference. Of course, Britain didn’t take Ottoman under its wings just for favour. In the meantime, Britain had some exclusive privileges behind the curtain. For example, Britain achieved the right to engarrison in Cyprus and to make reforms about the Armenians living in Ottoman lands and permitted them over-freedom.
But in the meantime Armenians were not unactive. In 17th of March, 1878, Variabedyan patriarch negotiated with Layard, ambassador of England and said if Britain supports, Armenian community is ready to rebel and decisive to establish a new Armenia. Because of that, in the Congress of Berlin which was gathered on behalf of the treaty of San Stefano, Bismark welcomed Armenians and get along with them, as well as other European countries supported Armenians.
That was so tragic for Ottoman because Ottoman made the disreputation “the sick man” in those congregations. The whole world saw that Ottoman was being divided, laid low, disappeared and couldn’t even have the right to sepak in its own land about its own vassals. In 1880 when Gladstone became the prime minister of England, conflicts reached the peakpoint.
Gladstone dealed with the Armenian issue to start with and in June of 1880, in tandem with the six nations, he wanted reforms to be made with Armenians in the east of Anatolia by sending a diplomatic note to Sublime Porte. After that interference of Gladstone, Armenians raised to the bait even more and resorted to terror by organizing gangs.
As an example, Hunchakian which means “jingle” and Tashnag (flag) parties are the most popular ones. Armenians, all over the board of the country, started to organize gangs, assault the society and the soldiers, and by letting out a yell of “Armenia” they terrorized. Additionally, whenever Ottoman quenched and intervene, it is launced as “murdered” in the West.
“Ottoman kills Armenians, attacks Christians!” These sort of news were always reported and the society was provoked against Ottoman. For example, in August of 1894, in Sason region in Bitlis Province, Armenians rebelled and slaughtered innocent people, then commenced fire, even gunfighted with the soldiers and when Ottoman quelled the revolt, all the West media published such fake news like “Ottoman is the murderer, Armenians are the wronged!” but no one talked about the slaughtered Turks and Muslims. Because there was a need for excuse, and on the plea of this, some countries -Britain particularly- send a memorandum to Ottoman for reforms on Armenians and them being more free, even free of any restrictions. However, Ottoman couldn’t agree with them and did reject the plan. And then, with the provacations of all these countries, Armenians effervesced even more and in Bitlis, Erzurum, Muş, Sivas and other regions, they started to revolts all around the country simultaneously.
Thereby, in a time lapse of one year, there had been 25 revolts and all of them were to establish an independent Armenia. And Ottoman had neither time nor patience to fight against them diplomatically. Due to the fact that in the 18th of April in 1897, Greco-Turkish War broke out, afterwards, some problems occured around the near east, in the lands of Arabs.
Here, during the unionist revolution and then the first world war, Ottoman was in a position so that no matter what they did, they would go wrong. Until 1915, there was 40 revolts in total. In short, deportation was not a sudden decision. After all these incidents, Ottoman either give up on 20 or 30 cities and say “take them, all done, do whatever you want to!” or scramble, which there was no chance of giving lands for free and for dividing the country.
If you do so, tomorrow or any other day, Laz people, Kurds, Balkanians, Arabs, other minorities would want to establish their own country. WWI was there, we -Ottomans- were already under occupation and losing lands, on the other hand, when armenians started to revolt and make troubles, Ottoman had to set the seal on the issue.
One should speculate, in 1895 a crowded Armenian group marched towards Sultanahmet with the guidance of the patriarch İzmirliyan, protested and around the same time, Ottoman bank was raided by Armenian gangs. Moreover, according to the written sources, many from the folk, i mean civilians were killed by the bombs of Armenians and additionally, they even committed to assassinate Abdulhamid who was the Sultan.

Those incidents did not appear suddenly, dear fellows, i mean if we are to speak of the emigration or so-called genocide, it’s a requirement that the background should also be understood because in the world maps that was published in that time, the West marked the east of Ottoman as “Armenia.” So to say, though the country was not splitted, they cut away the half of the land. That obviously was a provocation, a threat.
If you check even only the treaty of Yeniköy made in 8th of February in 1914, it’ll be enough. This is such a project that you divide the country as from Diyarbakır and make the region totally autarchical with foreign governors and inspectors. So, Ottomans gets divided into provinces. Having been not fought yet, Ottoman was already divided. And the worst part of it, if it were not for WWI, that plan could have been actualized. The outbreak of the war shot the project’s fox. Afterwards, similar bargains were offered to Damat Ferid Pasha like one hundred times but due to the War of Independence lead by Atatürk, they had failed again. I mean, regardless of if Ottoman was divided or not, Western countries had already the intention of establishing an Armenian and they would make no secret of it. Armenians, with the fire of that, continued to revolt and carried out acts of terror even more.
Through the Battle of Gallipoli* Armenian gangs still attacked on people. Consequently, Ottoman, with a ‘all-or-none’ principle, made a radical decision. That’s just much more the case. So, the people were send from there to somewhere else, the aim was to break the unity and to prevent probable revolts.
At that time, there were ones who fight against, attack, threaten with weapons, tease and make troubles, so some of them were killed but according to the West, they act as if the whole Armenian society were slaughtered, meaning that it’s claimed that a literal genocide occured and all the Armenians were killed completely. However, that’s a slander. There’s a strict difference between forcing people to immigrate and extinguish them completely. But when you look at the diaspora, they claim that one and a half million armenians were killed. Worst part of it is that people are buying this and when you deny it, they declare you anti-human immediately.
And of course, as from 24 of April, some of the Armenian leaders were arrested and sent to detention camps but none of them were killed in this moment, moreover, most of the ones who sent, came back to Istanbul. To give details, Deportation Law consisted of four articles:
Article First: In wartime, if the army commanders and corps and party headmans and their attorneys and independent rank commanders, witness to any hostility and trangession with weapons and resistance by the community in any sort of way,“against the actions and the arrangements that aim to maintain the orders from government, public order and defence of the country, are allowed and obligated to reciprocate with military forces in a most violent way; and in any offense and resistance situation, to neutralisation.” Meaning that the soldiers were free to use their weapons when obliged.
Article Second: “Army and corps and party commanders, due to the military requirements, when sense espionage or infidelity, can transfer people on a single basis or en masse to the other districts.” Meaning that by the government, commanders were given the right to relocate the ones whom they suspected to somewhere else.
Article Third: This law is valid since it’s publication. Article Fourth: The commander-in-chief and the ministry of war are the responsible for the validity of the judge. I decided on the enforcement and the pass of this temporary resolution by the seats in charge to be reported in the meeting of the general assembly of the parliament.
Hear me, i’m telling again; deportation is just having a group of people move from a place to another, of course during that there were ones who attacked to, pull a gun on the soldiers and resisted and kill and also killed but the law is crystal-clear. Yes, that’s a saddening incident, a whole group of people was relocated with all their belongings but just two years ago from that time, in Balkan Wars, Turks also went through the same thing. Turks in Balkan had to emigrate because the land was lost.
So, in wartime, these things can be happen. That’s understandable. And when they attempt to revolt and stage a coup and collaborate with the enemy, the right of them to complain and to cry is only possible in the fictional novels. Because the government primarily have to protect its own continuity. There is no any other possible solution, or anything else to do.
I do not accuse them with phoniness, they were revealed already later on. For example, some documents claimed as gotten from the Ottoman lands in Syria were shared by commander Allenby and it was claimed that in those documents, Ottoman gave a direct order to practice genocide. But later on it was revealed that such a document does not exist and these documents, let alone them gotten by Allenby in Syria, they actually appeared in France. Armenian Nationalist Federation in Paris prepared a report by themselves.
Addition to that, he made a lot of statements about the Armenian genocide assertions in 31 December of 1919, 27 Dec. Of 1920 and in 1 March of 1922 and stated that that’s a project of the British and when some provinces such as Bitlis and Van are used to establish Armenia, the authority of England will gain vigor in the Near East and that is the main purpose. The ones who read Nutuk already knows that. Additionally, it should be stated that in 24 March of 1915, with the help of Russia, approximately 2300 terrorists were caught from the federations such as Ramgavar, Halas, Towards Armenia and Dark Cross.
The Armenians who revolted and tried to stage a coup and practiced terrorism muust be brought to book for that. In short, the gangs. Because what Ottoman did was a self-defense. 100 Turks in ‘Zeitun Resistance’ in 1914, 3 thousand Turks in “Defense of Van” in 1915 and 20 thousand Turks in Muş in 1914-1915 lost their lives.

    • @emresoylemez7595
      @emresoylemez7595 Před 12 dny

Armenians, since the revolt in Erzurum in 1890, attempted to revolt so many times but failed. When failed, the cruel piling on the agony is just being hypocrite. Zeve village of Van was completely slaughtered by Armenians without making any discrimination for women, children, elders and Armenians joined the Russian army with 15 thousand enlistee just to batte against the Ottoman, even there were tens of them considering their own wives and children as hindrances and sent them to Erivan. Ottoman did what was needed to be done.
And, if Ottoman was that anti-Armenian, then why in that time there was two Armenian congressman in Ottoman Council? This also should be questioned. Minister of foreign affairs Gabriyel Noradukyan and Oscar Efendi was also Armenian. How could they be oppressed and be deputies? How Bashruyan who studied law with the opportunities from Ottoman could be appointed to the chairmanship of the penalty department ? How could Kirkor Zohrac be appointed to the parliament of Istanbul and Hallaçyan to the public works ministry?
By the way, Hasruyan whom i just mentioned advocated an Armenian called Torlatyan who killed the minister of internal affairs Cevanshir Han in 1921. Again, the councellor of Mustafa Reşid Pasha who was one of the leading figures of Reform, was an Armenian named Agop Gırçıkyan. However, saddening part is that some armenians who were appointed to the parliamentarianship in Ottoman such as Noradukyan, as soon as the WWI had broken out, left the country and demanded to establish Armenia from countries like France.
Consequently, tragic events happened and the deportation didn’t leave good memories in minds. People died, starved, relocated but eventually, it was an obligation. No one is happy or proud of it, or say “we did a great job!” We just had to and that’s it. It’s seen that Armenian side of the dispute shares some skull, skeleton and bone pictures and say “look how many people did the murderer Turks kill!” but it’s unknown if they were killed as innocent people or gangster or not or killed in a gunfight.
Nowadays we are bombing PKK encampments. What we are gonna do?Apologize? Of course not. We are not gonna say “Aww, what a pity, wish we hadn’t done that” or something like that. The deportation was the consequence of a long-lasted hostileness and the hostile side isn’t the Ottoman. Unfortunately, that’s the truth.
Lastly I wanna end my history class with a book quote from Armenia's first president Ovannes Kaçaznuni, "The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnagtzoutiun) has Nothing to do Anymore":
      "The deportations and
mass exiles and massacres which took place during the Summer and Autumn of
1915 were mortal blows to the Armenian Cause. Half of historical Armenia -“
the same half where the foundations of our independence would be laid
according to the traditions inherited by European diplomacy -" that half was
denuded of Armenians: the Armenian provinces of Turkey were without
Armenians. The Turks knew what they were doing and have no reason to regret
today. It was the most decisive method of extirpating the Armenian Question
      from Turkey".

Actually , perhaps no Religion preaches hatred against other Religion. But there are some races , tribes and / or communities, esp., the males of such Races or families , etc. are jealous of others. To snatch away their jobs, money, animal - wealth , women folk and lands, such men under the false pretext of Religion, Races, caste or Class, Tradition, Nationality , Language , Tribe , Nationality, Dialect , Colour, Culture , Professional group, Family or / and Family background, even under a concocted false story, they try to attack n subdue the other poor man or men. And thus.... I personally think the Turks at that time wanted to do racial or ethnic cleansing of the neighbouring areas of Turkey. It was easier for them to keep the guise of Islam. Or may be , am not cocksure , just to convert the Non - Turks like , Armenians to Islam by any means. By fraud, by any means or by even, force. Because, it's easier for the stronger to bully the comparatively weaker person. Clearly, t Turks were stronger due to perhaps, non - veg diet, numerical strength , unity and shrewd brains. Last but not the least, t. TURKS 1st invented n manufactured Fire - arms in the whole world. Obviously, they were the first among diff. Muslim races to use the Guns and Canons/ fire arms. In India Also, the Uzbeks under the Mughal family first brought Guns after conquering Afghanistan. These Uz. - Mughals are a branch or race from Eastern Turkey. Though, they had a majority of Pathan / Patthaan - Khan Afghan army soldiers and officers under them , but these clever - crafty Turks never gave the charge of Gun or Gunnery to any Afghan - Pathan. Though these Pathans were Muslims too, and v. brave - honest. Atleast , during the rule of earlier Mughal Emperors, it did happen. During the later Mug. Period, t. size of the Mug Army increased drastically. Many Hindus , alongside with the neo Local Converts were inducted. Naturally, the later Mug. Kings were forced to take t. Afghan Pathans into confidence. Presently, some of t. Frontier Pathan - Khans stay in the N. West Front. Province or state of t. present Pakistan country. Under t. early British Rule, t. Brits. forcibly and with great difficulty snatched this Prov. from Afghanistan. This area should be neither controlled by India nor Pakistan. T. Pak . Govt. should hand over this area to Afghanistan. Same thing can be said ab. Ladhak, in our India. It was actually a part of the then free Buddhist kingdom of Tibet. It was captured by t. Sikh King of t. then Punjab under t. already declined Mug. Rule in Ind. Many cases of bullying, snatching , destroying n cheating go unreported in t whole world. Although, a man or male myself but I hate such activities. May be, am in the group of minority males. Lastly, Nice day all.

Turkey had dramatically changed in the 20th century. The advance was rapid in the economy, education, and cultural life. Someone would wonder how these primitive nomadic people could progress so fast. The answer is what happened during the genocide of Christians. The assimilation of many thousands if not millions of Christians made a difference. The renaissance of Turkey happened when the children of assimilated Christians entered their productive lives.

Let's just think about this theory; The Ottoman government ruled out Armenians from the army, society, and everywhere because of just suspicion of rebellion. But there was no rebellion :) Do you have any idea about Fedayis or Kamavors? How many Ottoman soldiers and innocent Turkish and Kurdish people were murdered by these terrorists. Armenian terrorists organized under the Hıncak and Tashnak and people saw what they did in Kars, Van, Erzurum all of East Anatolia and how savage the Armenian Gangs were. Ottoman people called them "Millet-i Sadıka" and this meant "Loyaliest Nation".There were a lot of Armenian administrators, Armenian artists, and Armenian wealthy people in the Ottoman. They have never lost their religion and language cause Ottomans never tried to assimilate them. But some Armenian radicalized terrorist organizations like Hıncak and Tashnak were funded by the Russians and attacked the vulnerable innocent villager during WW1. Let's just think about the situation, you are in a war and fighting on multi battles, losing your army and soldiers but far from the capitol every day coming news about the Armenian terrorists and how many people were killed today, what are you gonna do? The Ottoman government had a solution; resettlement of the Armenian people to another Ottoman territory. But they didn't have this safety and a lot of Armenian people died during this time. I love Armenian people, and I wish this kind of thinks never happened in history. Neither I'm Ottoman nor they are Hıncak and Tashnak. Some bad things have happened. I hope we can fix our relationship and create more strong communication with each other.

You have many misconceptions in your video. Armenia was under Ottoman *occupation*. And Allah is not the God of the Bible. The Ottoman Empire was an Islamic empire that waged wars of conquest. Janissaries were castrated boys robbed from Christian parents to serve as Turkish troops. The Turks had a long history of castration for Christian slaves. All non-Islamics had to pay jizya under any Muslim rule. There is nothing willingly multicultural or multireligious about Islamic rule since 650 A.D, which marks the beginning of the Muslim conquests.

About the recent Karabakh events, I must say I don't understand how Armeian side can claim that they are right in this one. Armenia was actively invading a piece of land, which belonged to another country, which was accepted that way by the international authorities, and claiming land by annexation is banned all over the world. On top of that they were asked to end the invasion in peacefull manners on multiple occasions by various western nations and UN and even Russia. Azerbaijan was defending its country and claiming what's already theirs by law. Did you know that Armenia killed thousands and created near a million refugee by invading Karabahk in 1994? As a Turk, I condemn all forms of war. I wish we could continue to live with our Armenian citizens, I wish this forced migration had not happened. In fact, there are many Armenians still living in Turkey. One of the biggest mistakes of the Young Turks was that they were blindly ultranationalists and could not embrace the Armenians and caused them to establish terrorist organizations. In the end, it was the Young Turks who brought the Ottomans to destruction. In times of war, you would not have many options to protect minorities who take up arms and help the enemy from angry crowds. In fact, what happened to the Armenians was not much different from what happened to the Muslim peoples in the Balkans and the north of the Black Sea. I wish the Dashnaksutyun Armenian Terrorist Organization had never been established and the Armenians had not bet on the wrong horse.
No matter how hard you try, you cannot turn the Armenian events into a so-called genocide. It is neither similar to the holocaust nor to the genocide that Israel is currently committing in Palestine. There is nothing similar to the Bosnian genocide of the Serbs, the Algerian genocide of the French, or the Karabakh genocide of the Armenians. Even if you count the armed militants, it is impossible to reach the numbers mentioned today.
In this video a lot of incomplete, incorrect and changed information was given. Armenians committed the first terrorist act in history. They carried out a bomb attack on the Ottoman Sultan, against whom the Young Turks had staged a coup, at the exit of the Mosque. While Sultan survived by chance, 26 people died and 58 people were injured. So, to make a long story short, the Ottomans did not see the Armenians as a threat out of the blue, as described in the video. For years, with the instigation of the Armenian lobbies in France and Europe and Russia, they had already begun to betray the state in order to get a share of the cake. Long before the First World War, Armenians had already established two armed terrorist organizations. The Young Turks, who dethroned Sultan Abdulhamid II, whom the Armenians labeled the red sultan, made conditions even worse for the Armenians. During the First World War, many nations with a much larger population than the Armenians were deported, and the only nation that claims Genocide is the Armenians.

Jews also had rebellious groups and fought Germans from Britain. There were also plots to poison German POWS and they hunted Nazis long after WWII with more assassinations than ASALA. Are you going to deny the Holocaust?
And Armenian massacres occurred long before 1915. 300,000 were butchered in the Hamidian massacres in the 1890s, 10,000 killed in the Adana massacres in 1909, and still, Turks try to blame the victims. You slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Assyrians as well and a million Pontic Greeks.
The Rwandan Genocide had Hutus blame the targeted Tutsis for being terrorists as well.
Your flag is the symbol of a trashy culture that justifies genocide. You’re no different than the Hutus who still try to justify and deny the genocide of Tutsis in Rwanda. How vulgar.

Armenians betrayed the Turks by uniting with the Russians for independence. If a country's citizens cooperate with the enemy, you either execute them or remove them from the battlefield. The Ottomans forced the Armenians to migrate. This is not genocide, they were forcibly taken to another place to ensure the safety of the soldiers and the Muslim people. This is not genocide. In other words, they were taken from one province of the Ottoman Empire to another province. In other words, they wanted to do what the Greeks, Serbians and Bulgarians did. but they were not successful. The difference is that one succeeds and the others fail. That's the whole point. They fought for independence and were defeated. Turks who lost the war in the Balkans and the Caucasus were sent into exile. We do not call this genocide. Other Christians did not call this event a genocide. He said forced migration and exile. Since genocide was a concept that emerged after the Second World War, Armenians used this concept because they did not accept what they had lost, thus they used their Christian brotherhood feelings and Christian sympathy in the Christian world. As a result, other people believed them. There was no concept of genocide at that time. So this concept was created later. These events are known as genocide, but it is not, but this information is wrong. In reality there is forced migration and treason.

Armenians were exiled collectively for "betrayal". this is collective punishment. this should not be done. crimes and punishments should be personal. a person can commit a crime, a nation can not. we have to cooperate. thats why we need vergangenheitsbewältigung. if you claim persons like me guilty of a crime i did not take part of this debate will continiue for ever and ever...

Bruce Fein - associate dep. attorney general and general counsel of the Federal Communications Commission under President Ronald Regan, specialize in constitutional international law - VERBATIM: “It has no legal significance, it is a political statement, a confession by Mr. Biden, the Congress and by the Armenians that they have no legal case to make. The genocide convention which entered into force in 1951, Article 9 stipulates that any dispute arising under the convention as whether genocide or not, shall be taken to International Court of Justice in the Haque. 70 years of silence on the Armenians side because they do not have a legal case. They resorted to political donations to get political power and political statements. I have no doubt that Mr. Biden has not taken any serious investigation on what the genocide convention means, what are the elements of genocide, what transpired in 1915. Does he ever read European Court of Human Rights decision in 2015 stating there has not been any proven Armenian genocide, it is historical event that does not land on any conclusion. I believe it would have been far more sensible for Mr. Biden to urge Armenia use your right under Article 9 as the justice has been waiting for 70 years. Politicians are motivated with political moves, not historical facts. Justin Mc Carty says why Armenians are keeping their own achieves closed if they have a case, we assume that they have ready to present. Let’s use Armenians own statements in 1919, Feb 26 in Paris Peace Conference when they repeatedly say they we were offered autonomy by the Sultan but rejected to be loyal and enlisted to fight enemies of Ottoman Empire. Armenians also acknowledged that they became belligerents and Ottoman Turks died in the same proportion as Ottoman Armenians in the arisen conflict. I think Turks should approach the International Court of Justice under Article 9 and saying that they are being injured with the false allegations to reach at least a judicial resolution.”
