i hope heaven will be something like that
Heaven would theoretically be much better, beyond human understanding.
Good, you know this, can die in peace now
Your heaven is here on this earth. Nowhere else.
You have to build your heaven upon this earth.
PETROS FOUKAS just buy a ticket to new zealand... there you go
I think this is one of the best melodies ever written
I would also argue that
I must argue that this is one of the best MOVIE melodies ever made. Where As the best video game melodies ever made would probably be well... anything from Square Enix's JRPG lineup from the old PS1 era. They made art back then that is seldom matched today.
If you like melodies, Listen to peer gynt "morning mood", That's a Master piece too.
This is beyond any doubt....the best....god bless Howard shore...what a genius
@@visnil5010 yes, I've heard better classical music. But I love this as well
You know what the irony is? The beauty of the shire could probably only be experienced by those that had seen the horrors in the the world outside it. To those who were born in the shire and never saw anything else (like sam) , the shire was boring. Sam wanted desperately to get out and see the world. And gandalf and bilbo and the rest of us could appreciate how the shire was almost like heaven.
I don't think so. Hobbits love the shire and they don't want to leave. Sam and Frodo were special. As was Bilbo.
As a person who grew up in a very shire-like place and then moved to the desert I can confirm that you have to get out and experience other things before you appreciate what you had.
Concerning Hobbits represents home and hope. Plain and simple
Something deep in my heart tells me that my home is there.
I think there's no melodie i know wich makes me happy and sad at the same time like this
There's so much yearning in this
It give's me every time i hear it the greatest goosbumbs
yep makes you miss the home you never had and may never have
You have melancholia of a live and a world you have never lived. It's amazing.
I smile every time I hear this song, and two minutes after I have this melancholia, yearning to live that live that doesn't exist.
Possibly the most favourite fantasy location ever... Who doesn't want to go to The Shire?
You can.
You can go to the Shire.
After they had finished shooting "The Fellowship of the Ring" movies, they left everything except the furniture and the props behind as a tourist attraction.
But people were disappointed that they couldn't see the desk where Bilbo wrote "There & Back Again," or the tables, chairs, mugs, and casks in the pub, or the others bits and bobbins from the movies.
So after they finished filming "The Hobbit" movies, they left everything in place, all the furniture and props, just as if the Hobbits were still living there, for everyone to visit and see.
I don't know if it's still set up like that all these years later, but it would be pretty cool if it was, wouldn't it?
You can also bring a little bit of that to your backyard if you can't make it to New Zealand. I've seen memes that show how people built playhouses for their kids that were little Hobbit holes, including the turf on the sides and tops of the small buildings. There are even photos to be found of the interiors of these playhouses/Hobbit holes. One meme even said, "Instead of building your kid a treehouse, why not build him a Hobbit house?"
Plus, I found a book of floor plans for buried homes available on Amazon. Some of the homes are very simple and small, while some are large enough for a regular family, including even a garage.
@@jimgilbert9984lord of the rings isn’t real bro it’s a fantasy book by Tolkien
@@plopap
I know, but you can still literally visit the Shire.
After the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy finished filming, the director had the props removed from the buildings in the Shire, but he left the buildings standing as a tourist attraction.
After they finished filming the Hobbit trilogy, he again left the buildings up, but he also left all the props in place. You can walk through Bilbo's home and see the desk and papers Bilbo and Samwise used in writing their books. You can visit the pub and sit at the tables and see the kegs and tankards. Etc.
@@jimgilbert9984 Not so, all the inside filming was done in the studio set, Hobbiton is just the outside. The only insides in Hobbiton in the Green Dragon Inn and the Mill. Watch the videos on CZcams and you'll see some people peeking behind some of the doors and there's nothing there because they're about the size of a large closet. In fact the interior of Bag End is now set up in Peter Jackson's basement.
Most of the houses in hobbiton new Zealand are just the doors and a small room behind it, there's no complete hobbit hole there..
and bilbo his home was mostly done in a studio lol, they just changed a few things to attract tourist's + the bar seems nice on paper, but you can't stay for more than 20 mins bcuz than another tour group arrives
Than there's the hotel, where the experience gets ruined by screaming kids
Today, this has been played at a young man's funeral service. He was 32 years old and had battled with Cystic Fybrosis all his life, only to be struck down with Pancreatic Cancer just over a year ago. He was an absolute fighter and I truly hope he's at peace now. The first comment I read, mentioned heaven being like this, I hope it's everything he ever wanted it to be and more, God Bless James Gibson xx
I did not know your friend, and will only know of both Mr. Gibson and you through this comment. However, I wish his soul rest in the afterlife and his loved ones peace in this one. I will include him in my prayers. He is with his creator and was able to pass away surrounded by friends and family; friends like you let him move from our world to the next with dignity. I wish you and your family all the best.
❤❤
I wish I could live there. Having no worries of earth, smiling while sitting in a rocking chair with family and friends.
Life would be a blessing to be there.
My grandpa grew up in Canterbury, NZ, after a long career in various areas of science and engineering, he settled down in Sevenoaks, Kent. He loved these films and played this piece regularly while he was working on various papers. I think it took him home. It was the piece played at his funeral and it takes me home too
I have a similar song. my dad told me it saved him one stormy day at sea because grandpa always played it when he lived, and it woke him up when it randomly started playing on the radio so he could steer away from some reefs that would have capsized the boat. If it weren't for that song I might not be born
I grew up in South Birmingham, Eng. Literally with the old mill of The Shire on my doorstep..
That just made my day

This Is Beyond Greatness
Thank You Legend Howard💙💙💙
For some reason takes me back to 13 year old me watching this movie with my cousins. nostalgic.
Every single frame in this movie has a picture postcard-like beauty. Superb cinematography in all LOTR movies !!
I could listen to this all day :D
well, listen to it all day :)
Same
Yeah, I know, i know..
This song makes me always happy
The sun... Fresh air... The sweat from work... Chatting with friends... A home... Many things...
Don’t forget the ale and pipeweed!
I feel nostalgic after hearing this music but I don't know why I feel so
I know me too
I find this the most beautiful piece of music ever written for a movie..❤️
For those of you who yearn, in even the tiniest amount, to be a Hobbit, then you should note the words of Gandalf at the end of the Rankin and Bass animated version of "The Return of the King," in which one of the Hobbits worriedly asks the wizard if there is no place for Hobbits in this new Age of Men.
Gandalf points out that Frodo is bigger than Bilbo, as Sam is bigger than Frodo, and Merry and Pip larger still. So there will be a bit of Hobbits among the Humans.
He then looks out at the audience and breaks the Fourth Wall, asking, "Is there some Hobbit in you?"
As for me? My answer is:
Yes!
Howard what you have done to my soul back then over 20 years ago is unimaginable... Every time I hear this song I go back to being a 11 year old boy... But yet feeling hope for the future... It is just amazing what one can do with a piece like this.... Thank you for the music... and thanks for not doing the score for the Amazon series... it would have dragged your name down....
Simple life and friendship! Read a book under a tree!
Some of my acquaintance asked me, what is your personal impression for 2020 if you can describe with a song?
Well, amidst of covid-19 that shut down most and hurt people around the world, whether its economical, activities, and other things. . . . I think this masterpiece from Howard shore is one that suits me well. . .
Personally, for me, covid-19 might shut me down from the rest of my activity and the world . . . But, i've found my own treasure during this extraordinary times . . . my blessings in disguise. . . my families, the one that used to sleep when i coming home, tired from work. . . now i can see their beautiful and happy faces without care of the world, when they woke up, when they smile and first things they said "hi" or "good mornin" to me. . . it means the whole world . . . i'm beyond blessed for every little things my daughters and kiddos silly act. . .
Home is where your heart is, and i do hope for 2021, people around the world is appreciated every little blessing they found. . . .

💞💞BEAUTIFUL 💞💞
Yes, IT WAS AWESOME :D better than i thought maybe the films will be better than lotr i like bilbo more then frodo :) only HFR is a little bit wierd because sometimes it looked like the scene was cued... :/ but it will be perfect with time ;)
reminds me of my home town
I don't know how it is to wait a whole year for another part of a movie :) i was only 5 years when the LOTR triology started :/ But all in all i think that you are right. The films will be awesome no matter how much time there is between them... I mean Peter Jackson is the Regieseur^^
2021💖
How I would like to live there, a quiet place, away from everything, and with its happy inhabitants
Filmed in NZ but represents Shropshire in the UK massively.
I know. Have waited so long for the film and when I heared that a second film is comming in 2013 I was like oh no! When I have seen An Unexpected Jurney I must wait a hole year for det last part...
But on the other hand when they make two movies of it, it will most likely be very faithfull to the book:) And it will be just like when I saw LOTR. Then we had to wait a year for the next part;) And then we can be more in Middle-Earth^-^ (sorry if my English spelling isn't that good)
One day. ..Hobbiton for sure ❤
My little son Love It.
