I used t bars and pomas slot in Europe. They keep your legs working, warm. Grab the upright first pulling the unit under your dierrierre , don't sit on it. Keep the skis in the snowy track, don't fool around! Let go on unloading by carefully pushing out of the t let it go as it swings up toward it's cable above.
Oh man, that lift boi running to death. On the short bars I never saw someone that, pfffff, speechless. Normally they stand in one position or maybe make 1 or 2 steps, like by children..., also no marks on the snow or wooden pillars for positioning and no Matt for the lift boy....
I mean might be because im european but i really wonder how you can even call yourself a skier/snowboarder if you dont know how to ride t-bar :D in Finland there is way more t-bars than chair lifts for example so you really need to ride them all the time
My buddy was is front of me and he let the t- bar get out in front of him and he reached out and pulled it in and he basically squatted with the t-bar under his armpits the whole way up with nothing but his a$$ crack showing, not good for me and all behind me!!! Just look away!!!!!
It's like everyone here who's bashing people who don't know how to do this, forgot that at one point they too had their first time on one of these. I barely go skiing or snowboarding because A skis are too long, skiboards are too long, and my feet don't do well stuck in one place together. And on top of that suck salad are these things. And the towrope. But mostly that stupid towrope. I'm optimistic about my chances this year though because I got myself a pair of Snowfeet and I can use snowboard boots with them instead of stupidly uncomfortable ski boots.
Never been on a T bar. There aren't any where I've skied, not even in Garmisch. Only rope toes, button lifts, and chair lifts. The chairs are older in the North Carolina ski areas.
It's like you think you're supposed to get it 100% right the first time you try to use one of those. They're not intuitive. It's something you have to learn how to do.
This is more intimidating to me than double blacks
Don't like T bars. Chairlifts give your legs a break and get to enjoy the view from a high position.

Make sure your skis are pointing forward, if there're off a bit it won't end well, after a few times there's nothing to it. Good Vid!!!
Two random snowboarders on a T bar would be pretty awkward
Had the pleasure of trying this, it ended about as well as you’d expect it to
I used to snow plow and stretch the spring way out without my buddy noticing, then I'd step off and launch him. I know, terrible.

Do they still have these? Great memories, thanks.
They're getting replaced time by time but at least in Germany and Austria there are still plente of them yes
@@nhannah8009 They are also building new ones in Austria, because of environmental reasons it's often not allowed to build giant ski lifts.
Just stand still and let it pull you!
I’m so scared of it I fell off twice and never went again 😅

😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
Are these not in america, they are everywhere in europe, its basic
They are getting phased out in the States on big mountains. Most small ski mountains, especially on the East coast have multiple.

If you can’t use a Tbar you have zero business being on that type of Skiable terrain.
pfff shut up. everybody has their first time
@@vaidute2576 Nah, he's right.
