    2:46 The statement that is being done here is partly false though. Yes some Nazis technologies were dumb as fuck (super heavy tanks, rocket planes more dangerous for the pilot than the Allies bombers, tornado canons...). But it's forgetting that they actually did have some weapons that were clearly ahead of their time : ancestors of ballistic missiles, operational RC bombs, flying bombs, the first assault rifles ! Even their heavy tanks, save the fact they were extremely fuel consuming and encline to engine failures, did work quite well : Allied crews were afraid of them. Of course if the Allies won, there is a reason : Allied tactics and logistics was far superior - but i see a lot of people, probably thinking they are subversive because they are more updated on the subject, stating that the Nazis had dumb tactics, dumb weapons and they were just bad at war... Damn, hearing them would make us believe that the Nazis surrendered in 1940.
    Man if they held for so many years, there is a reason, chill out. Yes there were some dumb aspects in their war efforts, but there were clever ones too. The Allies wouldn't have rushed on Nazis scientists and technologies if it wasn't the case

    • @ninjakoule9878
      @ninjakoule9878 Před rokem +8

      You are right, the Nazis lost at the logistics front (for example, i live nearby chemichal plant, where Nazis made fuel from coal, because they did not have enough oil), and also because Reich had to deal with a lot of internal problems (resistance, assassinations). I would also say their tactics were quite okay, they did not make that many "mistakes", but if they made a mistake, that mistake was really huge (splitting armies during operation Barbarrossa, having armies on a different beach during D day, wich made invasion in Normandy possible, etc.)
      I don't know why i see more and more opinions about how nazis were stupid, given that Operation Manhattan consisted of a lot of German scientists, and the whole US space program stood on research that nazis did (and also NASA employed quite a few former Reich scientists). Also they had better tech than the allies, but they (thankfully) lacked resources.

    I remember reading that Germany was ahead at the start because other nations didn't advance that much after the first World War and didn't expect another one. And much of the reason why Germany lost was due to a lack of fuel for their tanks. They were getting so low that they took an abrupt turn when they were about to take Moscow if only to get to the oil fields in Ukraine. It was at that point that the turn of the war occurred and they got pushed back.

    It's not a misconception the Germans were Tech geniuses. Their tanks and everything else were fucking amazing. The problem was because they were the best they were expensive and when they broke down they were handmade so you couldn't just swap out parts. They were Tech geniuses but that was their downfall. There relied to heavily on making a few of the best possible units instead of making fucktons of OK units like the US and Russia. And despite their systems being leagues better than anything else any other country was using. It didn't matter because the enemy could just throw 30 at 1. And so long as 1 of 30 gets through you win. Hell the US and Russia owe a lot of their progression just before the cold war to captured German scientists. Like America would have never made the nuclear bomb if it wasn't for captured German scientists.

      I dunno if I'd describe the "final drive gears are delicious" Panther as "fucking amazing". And most of the Wehrmacht, especially post-'42 wasn't MUH TIGER SUPERIORITY, but swarms of Stugs and Hetzers if you're lucky, and burnt-out troops supported by literal children holding panzerfausts otherwise.. so if anything, it's not russo-american hordes, but aryan hordes.
      Also, the Manhattan Project was nothing like Paperclip. The one German-born guy, Klaus Fuchs, was a long-time socialist and worked as a Soviet, not Nazi, spy.

    • @SuperRandomNinja1
      @SuperRandomNinja1 Před 2 lety

      @@Derpy-qg9hn Late war they started becoming into the swarm just pumping out whatever they could produce because they couldn't they couldn't make the super expensive shit. We were running out of resources because they used it on super expensive shit in the beginning and they had literally no other choice. Americans and Soviets used mass production and human waves as long as they were in the war. I will concede I was incorrect about the nukes but America and the Soviet Union do owe a lot of their progress to German scientists landing people on the moon included. Rocket technologies and advanced fighter jets and all sorts of bullshit. Precision German engineering is so much of a fucking cultural thing that has existed for so long that it's a fucking meme at this point. Germans always go above and beyond to make the absolute best of a thing even if that makes the thing cause so much that it's not worth using. They are notoriously overly ambitious. They lose the forest through the trees a lot of the time. Focusing on making the best equipment to win the war and not actually winning the war.

      @thekommunistkrusader3921 Před 2 lety

      Yeah germans were smart, they had some of the smartest people in history like Albert einstein but the problem is nazi ideology and beliefs prevented many germans from being able to serve in that capacity because Albert einstein was Jewish. The upper echelons of nazi high command were too fuckin stupid to allow the smarter men to capitalize, reliability is a very important thing when making any piece of military equipment you do not want it failing on you in the worst moment or if at all possible never... so if something broke in a german tank, you're not the first and probably couldnt get the parts needed to fix it

    • @SuperRandomNinja1
      @SuperRandomNinja1 Před 2 lety

      @@thekommunistkrusader3921 I'm not saying that Germany was the smartest all around. They were retarded in a lot of aspects. But you can't say that they weren't Tech geniuses. No tank or armored vehicle or a lot of technology back then was super fuckin reliable. T34 and shermans broke down all the damn time. It's just that they were so mass produced that you could just swap out a few parts or even just leave it there because there are plenty to take its place. Germans didn't focus on that Germans focused on overengineering their bullshit to the nth degree that it was so expensive and hard to make that they couldn't just mass produce it. They were Tech geniuses they just relied to heavily on being technicians instead of mass quantities of OK garbage like US and Russia and now most military today.

If it takes 30 tanks to destroy 1 tank, then its not more costly to repair the 1 tiger, you have no idea what youre talking about spewing out moronic myths about German technology during WW2 when if you take 2 minutes to research how Tiger tanks actually stood up against other heavy tanks they are just as vulnerable.
