- For anyone considering a used premium luxury car, the first brands that pop up are Mercedes and BMW. These brands have certain characteristics which make them attractive to an enthusiast, and they tend to miss out on other options.
Back in 2008, Audi was starting off its aggressive journey in the Indian market, and was launching lots of new models which were very capable. In this episode, we are talking about the compact luxury sedan which was the pillar of Audi's success in India, and does it make sense to buy one over a C Class or 3 Series.
Nice one! Finally a episode about a car we own 😉. So we bought the first Audi A4 in 2011 new , it was a technology edition black car 2.0tdi and we loved it so much that we bought a second one new in 2012, was a Teak brown S line 2.0 Tdi. Though the S line left our garage in 2016, the 2011 Black A4 we still have and it recently completed 10 years. Fantastic car and totally niggle free, have always serviced at Audi Bangalore. Two things I will call out though, our average service cost has been 30K/ Inr per annual service. One niggle we had recently was the roof line started sagging and it had to be completely replaced. Not a big issue given it is a 10 year old car. Otherwise a totally trouble free car and we intend to keep it for times to come. To this date it feels luxurious and very comfortable to drive around.

Had this A4 with the 1.8 TFSI years ago. Have major nostalgia and memories with this car and was heartbroken to let it go. Later when i moved to Canada, I bought the same generation with a 2.0TFSI but because of severe oil consumption issues which was unrepairable, i had to let her go. Still looks gorgeous even in 2022 and would buy a clean one again if i could. Happily daily-ing a 2018 S5 at the moment 🔥

D3S enna Xenon lamp aanu A4 B8 il varunnathu, not commonly used, So after market kittan kurachu bhudhimuttanu. Showrrom il 10K aanu paranjathu for each. Athum purathinnu Pakuthiyilum kuravu cash il opiichu. Ippo Amazon il Osram inte okke available aanu for 4K. After market kitaan athinum kurachu samayam eduthu.

Other than Above listed issues, no other complaints. Vandi nalla look aanu, after 8 years still the design is not outdated. Wanted to keep as long as possible as there are not many options for better diesel engines( better inthe sense performance, reliability and mileage). Wanted to go for a stiffer suspension atleast at rear which may solve the comfort issues. can you please suggest some good brands?
I belive this is not a right time to buy a new ICE car, better to wait for cheaper EVs with 400+ kms range, or for Fuel cell cars

+1 to this question. I am not sure what the quality of an 8 lakh used Audi A4 would look like. Its one thing to say its 'available' but quite different when it comes to getting one of decent quality at that price. And we completely understand its difficult to predict pricing with second hand cars too. A possible option would be to say for eg, a car in the condition we are driving in right now that has done XX Kms could cost anywhere between A to B. Pls consider this in your future videos !

It also had a front longitudinal engine with FWD, and as you guys rightly said, that layout and double wishbone front suspension significantly changes the ride and handling balance.

Could have mentioned a few lines about the next update of the A4, 2014 onwards which came with drive select, newer DRLs and better interior options.. Imo that's better vfm and the best described as sporting luxury at its best
1.8 T had severe oil consumption issue. 2.0 was better than 1.8 in that aspect. I had a 2011 1.8T, had to fill in 1L every week
