First day back at doggy daycare after 6 weeks closed for lockdown

- Today was our very first day back after 6 weeks closed for lockdown, and to say we were excited about seeing the dogs today, would honestly be a big giant understatement!
Rodney and Luke started the trip down to Sydney from the farm at 5am this morning. Rodney was feeling fresh and raring to go after a well deserved long break, and even though Luke was still on puppy duty many times through the night, he was feeling higher than ever, purely on the fact that in just a couple of hours, he was going to see all his best mates. This was the day we’d all been hanging out for!
The doggies had been told last week that today was the day and they’d all been counting down the sleeps. And so were we!
First stop Centennial Park!
Luke had butterflies in his tummy in anticipation, he and Rodney were there before the doggies had arrived. Then one by one they turned up and it was Joy watching them realise that yes, there was Rodney and the bus waiting for them to take them to the farm … and oh hang on a minute … that’s … UNCLE LUKE!!!!
It was excitement plus! Lots of licks, jumps, hugs and barking with joy! And that was just Uncle Luke! 😉 Seriously though It was hard to tell who was more excited, the dogs or Uncle Luke!
Bandit boy was picked up en route. He was happy to see Rodney pull in, and especially pleased to see his mate, Uncle Luke. There were what seemed, quite a few extra greys in our beautiful boy Bandit’s muzzle, and with recent news that his health had declined a little over the break, Bandit boy got the seat he so deserved on the trip up, front seat next to his Uncle Luke. Missed you buddy boy. He got all the head scratches he needed and in return, Uncle Luke got the Bandit face wash. What an honour.
Then it was on to the farm Rodney!
The dogs were quiet all of the way, until they exited the freeway. This is when they start to get a little excited. They know the farm is just around the corner. And as Rodney drove the bus closer to those gates, the level of excitement grew until he pulled into the driveway and the eruption was unanimous! We’re here!!
Let’s get this party started! And the party didn’t stop all day long. Everything was wonderful, we all smiled and laughed and loved every second of being back together.
We’d missed them, we knew we had, but we realised it really was more than we had thought.
The farm was back.
I seriously question the mental health of anyone that is so black hearted as to downvote these videos. I see heaven on earth.
OR why they would come to watch?
They were just so overcome with the happiness and love, they just pressed the wrong button.
Or they are so jealous that their envy got the best of them.
I think some people have a list of vids they go to every day and vote down. I wouldn't want to live that way. What a miserable way to live.

That was the best farm trip ever! Loved seeing Bandit and all his kisses, and how all the dogs stuck so close to Uncle Luke, just sheer happiness. A joy to watch.

I see Bandit has special privileges. Can't blame you, he is such a character.
I think he spends about half his time at the farm, so he is a semi-family. He also spends holidays there.
As to who is the most excited by getting back to the farm, it’s a toss up between Uncle Luke and the dogs. It was wonderful to see them all saying hello to everyone at the farm and loving every minute of the day.❤️❤️❤️❤️

What a morning. They loved every second of being picked up once again. Happiness is going to the farm to play with Luke. A few tears of joy for all. Everyone looked so happy. Thanks for my daily pick up. Oh yes my guy's and gal's watch with me every morning. What a happy Monday for all.

Did anyone else watch this with tears in their eyes? The tears started as the doggies bolted onto the bus leash and all. Words cannot express how grateful I am that you share all this love and joy with the world.

This video made my day! I loved the kelpie who flew passed Luke onto the bus and then thought “ oh wait a minute I forgot to say hello to Luke” so gorgeous. We are still in locked down here in the ACT and I am looking forward to being free again!

The GSD is Lily.
Good question - I guess because the German Shepherds stay more in the background, we don't hear their names so often.
I remember Sam doing a video specifically on Riker which helped explain about this breed and that's certainly where I got to notice and understand him more.
Lily doesn't ring bells to me although I know I've seen her before.

It was great to see how much love there is between the dogs and Luke and Rodney and the other guys who help on the farm the reunion between Luke and Bandit was just beautiful what I love most is the commitment you still have to getting the shelter dogs the best start in life just beautiful and there rooms are just magnificent well done so much love on t his farm

So so happy to see all the dogs back on the farm……don’t know who was more excited, Luke or the dogs. 😁 Bandit could not get enough of the farm grass, and Cutiepie couldn’t believe her eyes😁. Bandit and the Vizsla’s have their piggy game back, Nala is back with her side eye dance, and Arthur has his wee game with his ball…all’s right with the world. Had a tear (happy) in my eye watching it.

You can tell that this is Luke's true calling... I feel he was more excited than the dogs were that daycare was open again. He was on a super high all day...so much fun to watch. I do hope Bandit's health issues aren't too serious...after Riker I don't think I can see another favorite cross that bridge. What you and your staff have done for the shelter dogs... not enough words available; and the best days ever you give to the daycare dogs you truly are the most wonderful group of people. YAY!!! THEY'RE BAAACK!! By the way all the dogs were hyper-focused on Luke all day, I'd say they were hoping it wasn't just a dream! Milo's welcome at pick-up was precious, and Bandit's aim with the Swiss ball is still spot on...and his Viszla crew was ready at the pool. Uncle Luke's face was full smiles all day...I bet he sleeps well tonight! Jason, did you miss the pups' attention too?🤭 I was amazed to see how many names I remembered, and how much I missed seeing them all. Wonderful way to start my Monday, thanks!!🥰🥰

What a happy celebration! I'm sitting here grinning like a fool, with an occasional tear slipping down my face (happy tears)! The news of Bandit's declining health is the only sad part of the video - he is KING of the squeaky pig games!!! The whole world will mourn if/when something happens to him - even the Vizslas who keep such careful watch on him and that pig! I was going to ask if the shelter dogs had to stay in their new rooms and watch tv while the farm dogs played, but that was already answered. Great day, great video - thank you!!!! PS - I think Luke needs a new shirt. LOL!

Growing up, my brother and I would always swim with our yellow lab, Biscuit. We loved to swim with her, but she'd always give us the worst scratches, but we never suffered like Uncle Luke's poor shirt!
Luke got a back full of scratches from the many Vizslas in the pool one day. His shirt didn't help reduce the welts that day.
Never get tired of seeing how much these dogs love Luke. And their reaction to seeing the bus and being on the farm for the first time in seven weeks is simply joyous.

This was fantastic... I am in the states and woke up at 5 a. m. I was like a kid at Christmas! Excited beyond belief... I loved it and didn’t want the video to end! Everyone was so excited... the daycare dogs and the bedroom reveal for the shelter dogs, and lastly the puppies!

The 1st big lower bay on the bus is Bandit's but I think Luke couldn't help himself. You can see the door swing open behind Luke at 3:51. 😃
@maria pineda I wonder about Bandit, too. I know he is restricted from running the lure every day because of Achilles tendon issues. I think he's back to his usual schedule of staying Monday through Wednesday based on his entrance into the house at the very end.

Nobody should have that much dog fun alone!!! I'm sooo jealous!! You have come up with the best job ever!! I know you have others helping you, but I want it to be me!! I LOVE watching everything about the dogs. That is truly DOG HEAVEN, and maybe PEOPLE HEAVEN! Do you let volunteers help out at all? Not me, as I'm in the U.S. But I would consider moving there just for that reason alone! I could also be your kids nanny!! I'm dreaming!!! It amazes me how good all the dogs are; how they cooperate and are just DOGS! You allow them that one thing society keeps them from being on a full time basis. But that's what your farm is for! Keep up the PERFECT WORK!! GO DOGS!!!
