Dom (Vin Diesel who also played in xXx and Guardians of the Galaxy) offers help to a woman, Cipher (Charlize Theron who also played in Mad Max: Fury Road and The Old Guard), who has problems with her car. When she suddenly asks him how his honeymoon is going and calls him by his first name, Dom realizes that the car has been deliberately sabotaged. She explains that she has done everything to make their paths cross, and offers Dom a job. He refuses saying he doesn't work for anyone, but she shows him something on her phone that gives him no choice but to accept.

What’s The Fate of the Furious movie about?
The Fast and Furious Saga follows the adventures of street racers and professional thieves. The movies are filled with adrenaline and fast cars. But at the end of the day, the most important thing will always be family.
With Dom (Vin Diesel who also played in xXx and Guardians of the Galaxy) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez who also played in Avatar and Resident Evil) married, Brian (Paul Walker who also played in Brick Mansions and Eight Below) and Mia (Jordana Brewster who also played in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) retired and the rest of the crew exonerated, the globe-trotting team has found some semblance of a normal life. They soon face an unexpected challenge when a mysterious woman named Cipher (Charlize Theron who also played in Mad Max: Fury Road and The Old Guard) forces Dom to betray them all. Now, they must unite to bring home the man who made them a family and stop Cipher from unleashing chaos.

Someone said, the movie would’ve been so much better if Dom just suddenly turned against them without showing him meeting Cipher. It would’ve had a surprise factor and everyone would wonder wtf is going on

Charlize Theron plays her character really well. One would almost believe that she is like this in real life. I just hope Hollywood will give her a role of a nice person in the future, so the audience won't remember only Cipher character. When I first saw this movie in theaters, I thought that maybe she had kidnapped Mia and Brian's son Jack or she might have killed Brian. I'm guessing that Cipher might have known about the events of Fast and Furious 4, since Arturo Braga was working with Owen Shaw during that time of Letty's fake death. The original ending of Furious 7, we were supposed to see Johnny Tran, Carter Verone, Takashi and Arturo Braga meeting with Cipher, but that never happened. I hope that Dante is able to get a hold of all four of them, so that they can help him with his revenge against Dom and his crew. Remember at the end of 2 Fast 2 Furious, Carter Verone promised to get payback on Brian and Roman.
