The BEST Time to Take a Pregnancy Test!

- Ever had a pregnancy test come out negative when you really were pregnant?
It may have something to do with when you took it! (Either that or the test may have been expired).
The pregnancy hormone, BHCG, gets excreted in urine. As you drink more water, you are diluting the hormone and decreasing the concentration of the hormone that is found in the urine at any given time. As you urinate throughout the day, you are also excreting the hormone and the amount found in the urine.
So, the BEST time to take the test is when you have not drank or urinated for several hours, which is typically in the morning! All of the hormone has “built up” in your system overnight and is ready to be excreted in the morning! You’ll also notice pregnancy tests giving a “stronger” positive result in the morning vs later in the day.
Try and take the test as early as possible, but also know, that taking it AFTER your first missed period means a lower chance of a false result! Remember, an abnormal or lighter period can also represent a “missed period” as well!

Well this isn’t accurate for everyone lol i missed my period and tested 6 days after and still got a negative. That whole week tested everyday until I hit the 8th day and finally got a positive
🙌🏼This makes me feel better! I’m technically only one day late and I’ve taken two and both were negative. But I’m later than i usually am and I’m very regular. I keep telling myself it’s just early but I also get in my own head!

@@AvaGeving this isn’t my first child, all I needed was one test to confirm and I don’t believe in false positives unless you use a blue dye test.
Do you have to wait until you miss your period? Can you test a few days before and still get a faint positive if you're pregnant?

I’m 7 days late and I also have irregular period. I got BFP just now and it’s not a faint line I will be testing again. I’m shocked cause I had no major symptoms except for mild cramping 2 days ago on my left lower stomach and weird taste in my mouth. Mild nausea when eating but I thought it was all in My head.

Twice I've tested faint positives 6 days before my missed period with the $1 cheap tests! Then one time I tested negative 2 days before my missed period, assumed I was just imagining symptoms so the symptoms stopped after that, but then a week after my period was due I remembered I was supposed to have a period 🤔 according to that negative test, I was pregnant though... Also I've had negative tests because of drinking too much liquids.

I know we all see many yt vid that we can check it earlier, but listen to her. Best time is after missed period. I checked many times before missed period, and it only gave me unnecessary roller coaster of anxiety. I also got false positive, only to get my period the next day. I expected to have a baby but turns out i wasnt pregnant :(

With my youngest son I took test every day and kept getting negative results till day 4 of my missed period then I got dark results over and over again out of disbelief I took a few because the day before they were blank and I was confused.

@@justinequiazon I’d not worry to much I’d say it’s negative so don’t stress to much but do let this be a lesson though for you because you are definitely to young to be a dad and you seem very aware of this. I hope for the best though and that it’s definitely a negative because you have your whole life ahead of you. I will let you know though because sadly not a lot of people will the pull out method isn’t 💯 because I have seen many get pregnant who thought that would work, birth control isn’t 💯 my cousin found that out the hard way but she took antibiotics with it and it made it not work but she loves her daughter non the less, and though many things are not 💯 I know teens do things and if it were to happen again just try to wrap it before you tap it just to be safe. Sure In the moment it way not seem like a big deal but trust me having kids hurts and I’m sure you don’t want her going through that pain at such a young age. My first birth was when I was 21 and not gonna lie I thought I was gonna die it was the most painful traumatizing experience I’ve ever experienced and though I love my daughter it’s still a lot on the body. I’m not trying to lecture just being real with you because the reality of it most people your age don’t really think about those things but again I do hope all goes well and that you don’t have to experience being a dad till you’re older and ready.

Same I’m 2 weeks late, I took two of the 5 days sooner and it came out faint positive took 1 today morning and one yesterday morning and it came out negative but still no period, I’ve never been this late on a period and my periods for the last 3 months were consistent. I’m so confused
