LOS ANGELES - Welcome to San Pedro, next to Long Beach in the greater Los Angeles area. Today I’m hanging out with my friend Sonny (@BestEverFoodReviewShow ) and we’re taking you with us to eat a massive seafood tray at San Pedro Fish Market!
Surrounded by the LA port, cruise ships and container ships, you’ll find San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant where you can buy fresh seafood for takeaway, or you can have them cook your fresh catch in a massive smoldering pile of cajun spicy seasoning, and serve it to you on a huge tray.
They have a fresh fish section and then a full seafood cabinet to choose from. We chose a sheep head fish, which neither of us had ever tried, and then we proceeded to get a variety of local shrimp, scallops, some king crab legs, sausage, and corn to finish. Altogether our pile of seafood came to about 11 pounds!
You can choose from 3 different flavors; Cajun, garlic butter, and spicy diablo - we went with a mixture of all three. Then first blanch all your seafood to cook it perfectly. Then since we ordered fajita style, they begin with a pile of green pepper and onions on the hot plate. The blanched seafood is poured on top followed by huge amounts of melted butter and pouring of all the seasoning powder. It’s stir fried until everything is evenly coated and drenched in melted butter. The finished seafood fry is dished onto a platter, topped with our deep fried crispy sheep head fish, and finished with garlic bread and tortillas.
Not only is it great seafood, and located along the waterfront, but eating at San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant is a fun experience!

this was so enjoyable to watch the entire time just smiling two friends enjoying good food in a good setting such an enjoyment of life
I showed this to my husband and he tells me im taking u there. We drove 4 hours and it was so worth it!! We will definitely go back again! We made our own tray with wild shrimp 🦐, crawfish 🦞 snow crab 🦀 mussels, corn and sausage with potatoes only! So good 😊

That is just a wonderful seafood experience! All that freshly caught seafood and they cook it with spices and butter on the griddle. Just looking at it made me so hungry. Every variety of seafood on that tray. Fish, scallops, shrimp, corn, sausage, king crab legs, peppers, onions, mushrooms?. You and Sunny enjoyed that. Couldn't remember drink? Was it an apple beer with plums muddled at the bottom?
Mark is so down to earth and classy...he doesn't let his success go to head. Love watching his video...seeing Ying and Micah grow up! The seafood looks so delicious...wish I was down in the LA area! Keep those great videos coming, Mark!

WOW this was wonderful to watch. Unfortunately it appears San Pedro Market has closed it's doors after 6 decades. As of today March 16, 2023 they are closed. I was hoping to visit that place next week in LA. Oh well, thanks for the great video.

Born and raised in Pedro. The Fish Market is a fantastic place to eat and drink and to hang out with freinds and family. The staff and the owners go way back and everyone has always been welcoming and goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is a good one and you go home really full. I live in South Carolina now and we have good stuff out here, but it doesnt have the same feel as being home right on the water in the heart of the L.A. Harbor

I’ve eaten at the San Pedro Fish Market Several times and you don’t need to break the Bank to have delicious Seafood like what Mark and Sonny did! Instead of the very expensive King Crab, Dungeness, Snow Crab and even lobster, try the local Red Crab with Shrimp with the vegetables and Sauces and you’ll still have a delicious meal!

How much is it?
Based on what the Seafood Case prices shown and past Experience probably $400-$500 Dollars? The King Crab Legs were $99.95 a pound!
$95/lb. for King Crab is straight highway robbery. It's $25/lb. at my local Safeway for the exact same thing.
I grew up right there, and you picked the best spot in L.A! - Despite moving to Seattle after 40 years in L.A. I still think L.A. is the very best. The two of you are just terrific together, and lord how I wish I could share the same experience with you and head to Olvera street for Mexican food to experience the full meal-deal food coma that only L.A. can provide. Love you two!
The LA area of Southern Cal has so many good restaurants. This is one advantage of having such a large metropolitan area. It creates a demand for good restaurants that flourish.
