A short progress on my small HO switching layout.. still no name! Apologies for the sound quality on this one, I got a new mic and still need to work out how best to improve the quality of the sound.
Check out "How To Model A Tree Covered Hill" which could help you to create a view block in the foreground to hide the entry/exit point. As far as a name for your layout, why not name it The Martinville Industrial Branch?
:-) Thanks Donnie.. I have toyed with view-blocking that exit (I used a small rise with trees on 'Winkford Green') but I'd like to keep the small building and car park there (I also need to reach the switch which is right near the exit)
Thanks! I had to drop the levels too as there was some distortion, but going to experiment and the mic position was something that someone else pointed out too :-)
Thanks for the update, it’s all coming together nicely.
Thank you!
looking forward to your next video!! keep up the good work!!
Thank you!
Nice to see your progress. The layout is looking good. Following with interest (Alcanman)
Thanks Mal! Keeping my eyes open for your next one ;-)
Layouts coming along really well. Look forward to seeing it switching soon 👍
Cheers LB (likewise ;-) )
Excellent and sounds was good
Thank you.. had to fiddle about with audio levels, but hopefully learning..

Sound is very quiet. That kind of mic needs to be much closer to your mouth -- around your collar.
