Hey guys just remember if you want to say "I'm fine" there's nothing wrong with it.
But we must try to use other phrases too, that's what she's saying
@@divyapviistd6747 Just don't freeze when you need to say it. At the end of the day, just say whatever from your mind. "I'm fine" is okay too. Be sure to get the tone right.
I always say "I'm good", "hey", or "hey, how are you?" back. Or you can just nod. That's fine too. :)
@@divyapviistd6747 It's understandable. Apart from your remark which is coherent, the video title seems to be harsh. "stop saying I'm fine".
@@NinPossible yea sure
I’m fine…thanks!
Fun facts from a Native English speaker: "I'm fine" is actually the answer we give more commonly when that question is phrased all answers fine, but if its in a professional setting you should say something like "I'm well" instead.
I only say I'm good tbh
Or "I'm doing well, how about you?"
Lingua marina could change you to an advances to speaker...❤😁
Native English speaker here. This is usually a greeting and not really an invitation to talk about yourself. I usually say:
Fine, how are you?
Quick, to the point, and shows politeness by asking the other person the same question.
Tip from someone whose native language is English: with almost everyone, the default positive answer is simply “Good, you?” Or “Fine, thanks!”
Lingua marina could change you to an advances to speaker...❤😁
I use "not bad" mainly.
I always say ALHAMDULILLAH Well❤️
😂😂😂
@@lolal2502
What's funny ? Dummy
It’s extra polite to ask how they are as well.
“Good, you?”
someone: "how are you?"
me in my mind: "why would you ask me like that? "
Lingua marina could change you to an advances to speaker...❤😁
Those tips are _not bad_ 😝
Thanks Marina, always with a good tip for sharping our English speaking 🙏🙇
Coming from the USA "How are you" actually is a question and the normal response usually is "I'm fine, and yourself"
Your classes help for my english learning perfectly ✨✨

Me to I didn't know these words
It is my first time
english is my first language so i know it very well, yet im addicted to these videos
Fun phrase: If someone asks “How’s it going?” as a greeting, you can reply “It’s going.” That tells them you’re really suffering.
Lingua marina could change you to an advanced speaker...❤😁
Good comment.
I like "Doing well" for a positive reply.
Lingua marina could change you to an advanced speaker...❤😁
love that smile
I like to answer this greeting by saying, “I am absolutely, tremendously mediocre.”
This is what happens when you wanted to be an English teacher but they didn’t want you
meanwhile Taehyung BTS :
"I'm god"
Ya that's really hilarious
Army evrywhere!💜
Lmao
Not god, might be good
@@ANB05 r/wooosh lmao but also no, taehyung i think he was asked hru and he said I'm god, cuz pronunciation or something idk i don't follow kpop stuff
It's also viewed positively if you say something like "Good, thanks". or "Good, thanks for asking"/
Thank you so much teacher. You are my best teacher. I always encourage you. Great video!
I always say " I'm good!"
Best to be confident and answer as correctly as you can. If the people you encounter care that you speak like they do, you need to change the people not the way you speak
She's giving me vibe of the girl with the "would you like to have a piece of cake?"
AND THAT'S NOT GOOD!!
It's very helpful Marina. Thank you
@Marina can you please share more often used English(idioms, phrases) in business and formal setup.
Hey Marina Ma'am you inspire me alot!
I love your shorts and videos. It is really working!
Bunch Of Thankss! Marina,i love to watch your videoes and shorts as well.... you're like siser for me....love from India:)
I always say I'm good
U can also use Never Better if you're a positive person
This is where we are.... we're learning how to respond to "how are you?" 😭
Thanks for this information
In some countries, *Not Bad* is straightforward or could be *rude* sometimes.
Your aeyyyy sounds was too good😅😅😅 .
Absolutely fantastic.
Thank you marina 💙💜
Or when someone says "how are you?" you can just say "hey"
Or if it's in the morning you can say "morning"
Really don't have to overthink it.
My personal favorite response to how are you is "just what you see"
Your video's are really helpful!
Все ваши видео очень классные, не могу вас отблагодарить!

@@better_english_with_ali Haha, I'm a native speaker, but I believe it! She has been right on the money every time.
I'm always lovin' your videos and shorts ❤️❤️🔥🔥
Thank you 👍👍
I like your teaching alot Miss Mariana
my best teacher ever
Is the same in French , tonality of the answer can let you understand how everything’s going
Enjoying your videos
If you’re just passing by, it’s more common to respond with another question.
If you know they’re not actually asking about your well-being, you can reply to
“How are ya?”
With
“How’s it going?”
“Hey”
“Hi there”
“Good, you?” (They normally won’t expect a conversation after this response. They’ll just reply “good, thanks” and keep walking haha.)
"I'm doing well" based
Sometimes I say "I'm cloud 9 (nine)"
I learnt how to pronounce intention as well!!
You're great, i love you🤍
Thank you!❤

Me gusta mucho tu inglés... hablas un inglés muy claro
We always say "I'm fine, good or OK. Nothing more is needed.
You forgot 'I'd complain, but nobody'd listen'
you also can say "i'm doing well" as normal people say
You are the best teacher
And to be polite you say back "and how are you". Usually in the south they ask "how are you doing today" or "how have you been"
'Better than yesterday.'
i wish you all the best my teacher
"how are you"
My awkward ars : im not bad
I am OK
Thank u ❤
I once replied "awful, you?" to an American. This was before I learned about their façade-politeness, and that "how are you?" is not a question.
You're creative keep going✨✨✨✨✨..

Saying : I am good is not a good answer ; lingua Marina .
I have one more alternative which is "I'm pink of my health"
Not bad ,alright ,good
Pretty good also can be used
Never better
You can also say "Alhamdulillah"
I'm always use this word 👍
I can't complain
Noob - okay

Legend - Fine 😂

Thank you.
I most like marina's short Videos 👍🏻👍🏻
I always answer "great"
I don't known this. Thank you for teached me
Helpful 👍👍
Thanks Marina, always you look beautiful and good tip for sharing with as i like to see your video make me smile always 😍😍😍
It usually just goes like (also this could just be walking down the street) you usually don’t even stop walking, just make eye contact, smile, and when they say “hello how are you” or “hi how are you” just say what she said not bad, I’m fine, or I’m good. And then say how are you. So “hello how are you?”
“I’m fine, thanks. How are you?”
And they’ll just say “I’m good”
And keep in mind don’t over think this!! You and the other person will forget it in five minutes. And I can’t remember one person I’ve had this convo with, and I’ve done it so many times.
imagine someone saying hello and we says not bad😂
On linguatrip no one language school from Oregon. Please, think about add one from Portland area. Sorry for offtop.
My old English teacher teach me if any stranger ask "how are you the answer is I'm fine...
The real response to how are you is how are you
If we said I m doing good iy will be okay
Most places where I go people say
A: Hello. How are you ?
B: Good. How are you ?
A: Good. (Goes on to make a normal conversation)
But this quick introduction is equivalent to hello.
It's very rare for anyone to genuinely want an answer other than 'good'. 'Good' is the polite thing to say in most cases.
Unless they emphasize 'how are'.
A: Hello. *How are* you?
B: I'm not doing great, I'm really struggling with school.
A: I'm really sorry to hear that. How can I help?
(Or something like that.) 😊
00:00 Yare yare
"nah i'm good"
