      @@ananzidawriter5561 if someone genuinely loves, has a passion for, and strongly identifies as a hip hop head, they aren't culture vultures. simple. couple all that with showing respect for and knowledge of the genre and the history (or any other genre, hobby, interest, etc) and it's even more clear they're approaching it from a sincere place.
      culture vultures aren't sincere in what they do. they're either posers/trendsters and/or have underhanded motives.
      plus, no one has exclusive rights or ownership of culture. people can involve themselves in anything they damn well please. if they're genuine, they aren't the problem, ppl like you perpetuating this dumb ass segregating "us vs them" mindset are.

    Two things: 1) She is reflecting all of the feelings and thoughts I had about hip hop and rap when I was a younger man. I loved the music. 2) I appreciate her saying that rap is by the young, talking to the young, about the young. I've never felt bad about growing out of hip hop.

    I thought I would listen to just a few minutes of this interview and if it was worth it I would come back later. Wow......I was so locked in to this lady and how she expresses herself that I watched the whole interview, couldn't step away from the screen. Whether you agree with her or not on the subjects / opinions she discussed she has some amazing experiences, stories and knowledge to share with an audience. I could listen to her all day. Great interview.
