Honestly the design is nice to the eye but sh*t to use... Why did they make the front part round?!?!? You can hardly tension that thing... Why didn´t they put some kind of jimping on it? The rubber rings do nothing.... I love Multipick, but everyone telling me that this is easy to use as a locksmith is a fkking Fanboy! Especially when WD40 comes into play...

Small correction, perhaps: It seems to rotate by 90°, not 180°, which does make more sense, if you think about it. It's hard to tell on this small screen, so please correct me if I'm wrong. That said, it's an excellent idea, so thank-you for the demonstration.

At 7:26 when you flipped the core 180 degrees, the only pins that catch the core are the driver pins. the core pins are tucked into the core. All you have to do is stick the flat side of the pick into the core and push them back down flush to turn it. no picking or flipping needed.

Yet again a quality product from Multipick. You can visibly see the effort that's gone into the design. I haven't used a plug spinner before but do understand the concept behind it. Great review and demos. I never thought of using one on a cross lock, I guess that's because I never thought that it would work on one. People say it's unrealistic to pick cross locks several times as it slows down the picking to get an open. Well, using one of these shows that you only need to pick it once and then let the plug spinner do the rest.

@@Mex_the_Fox I actually thought that when observing the tool being used. The larger back part looks ok to grip because of its shape. The smaller front piece is small and doesn't look like it gives much grip for the fingers.
The Multipick plug spinner looks like a solid tool and strong, not flimsy. That's what I meant by my comment. 😁

I absolutely love this tool! No plastic, no accidentally going off. You have to mean it.
    - However; I wish they had milled a flat area (from the factory) to aid in charging this left or right with the aid of a wrench. This thing has a tight spring. Even lubed it up a few times thinking this might help. ..... Still, I wouldn't have any other plug spinner in my bag! Pick whichever direction you need, then go! Or of you have to turn a cylinder multiple times to open the mechanism, no problem!! Just Flip-It!

Thursday I picked up a padlock, just a cheap one from princess auto, the bitting is pretty decent on it, what I liked the most is its surprisingly rekeyable with a shielded shackle. Tubular lock plug spinners need to be a thing. Million dollar idea right there.
You could easily just make ends that use the existing threaded holes in that spinner. Imagine not having to pick the core six times for an open, then back.

It's also great for doors that have a deadbolt mechanism that gets engaged the second time you lock it. A lot of door locks in Europe work that way and normally you would have to pick it twice. With a plug spinner you can pick it once and then turn it for another time using the plug spinner. BTW. plug spinners can easily be improvised with rubber bands and torsion wrenches or 3D printed. But it doesn't look this good, admitted.

This Multipick spinner I bought in March/2020 from an Australia seller does not have that steel pin you mentioned at 2:36. I surmise Multipick removed the pin because it's been causing some reliability problems. It seems to work just fine without the pin and does not to seem to cause noticeable wear on the notch.
One thing I'd personally prefer is if it used deep cutouts (like those found on the handle top) instead of three flimsy rubber o-rings on the lower barrel to provide friction when charging the spring because the spring is exceedingly strong and the friction provided by the rubber o-rings is just barely sufficient. If there is a bit of body oil, grease, or WD40 residual on the o-rings, good luck trying to charge the spring without the barrel seriously slipping. Also the rubber ages or wears over time, it will become much harder to grip the lower portion during charging.
