Peter Serafinowicz might be Britain's most under appreciated comedian.

Amen to this
I really wanted to like it but didnât laugh at any of it. Felt I was forcing myself to laugh
I just like saying his name
Only one season.?
"Paul Ball had a nasty fall when he was frightened by the ghost of his former employer" is one of the best lines in anything ever.
So fucking funny!
Every time he sits on the ladies handđđđ
Instantly reminded me of dirk gently's holistic detective agency, the douglas adams book
"The court found in favour of the ghost which means that basically when I die I'll be in debt. In heaven."
She was then hit by a *dart*
how this didn't get a second series is beyond me
The BBC is notorious for cancelling good shows without giving them a chance, especially comedy shows.
half is quite funny, half is quite stultifyingly unfunny
@@rickdeckard1075 I've found that impressionist comedy is often quite hit and miss to be honest.
when it depends too much on only verisimilitude, yes
Mainly because they don't understand them...
âArgument bargumentâ đ Sometimes I randomly think of this line when Iâm waiting in line at Sainsburys and it always makes me snort in front of bemused strangers
nice colors
Same!
I regularly think of argie bargie and follow it with argument bargument đ
Peter would make such a great Bond villain
Have you seen him in the second series of Whitechapel?
Pah! I'd say he'd make a great Bond!
He did voice Darth Maul in Episode 1. That's not too far off from a Bond villain.
he played a spy on well, "Spy" (lol), and although at first he came off as comic relief, when he shows up at the end you can definitely see a Bond swagger in him.
GOLDFINGER
That Michael Caine impression was amazing!! Spot on but subtle, and it's amazing how much it looks like him...
and alan alda !
In the O News sketch alone, Peter plays 8 different characters. Absolutely brilliant.
This man is the voice of Darth Maul
James Gould

And face?
You couldn't get enough grease paint for that. No that was performed by acrobatic X-Men's Toad actor Ray Park.

Aside from how nostalgic this show is, I forget how much 00s BBC comedy stuff Benedict Wong was in as an extra.
BWong is a fantastic addition to any show heâs in.
That Michael Caine impression is unbelievable.
'Elephants and Trains' magazine cracks me up every time.
Belinda Stewart-Wilson's reaction to the Kitchen Gun at 11:50 is just perfect. Makes me laugh every time.
She is absolutely gorgeous
I love you Kitchen Gun!
@@johnmatthews5876 Is that Will's Mum? She is fit!!!
@@airsir9559 it is and yes she is!
Sheâs unreal, her and April from peep show are gorge
I've never seen someone nail more impressions, or consistently carry every sketch so well. This is staggeringly Impressive Peter. Very happy to know how truly talented you are but sad to know only one season.
It should've had more than 1 series but weâre not known for having shows that last over 5 series.
LOL "Argument bargument"
Therafinowicz!
1:48 It's like they anticipated BBC's Sherlock đ
"She's easily a 7 today" LMAOOOOOO
An actual ad break in the middle of a Butterfield commercial is a very specific aneurism
Just discovered this...only exposure to Peter Serafinowicz before was as Duane on Spaced. Going from that image to his completely out-of-control Kennedy St. King had me howling with laughter. Excellent writing, dead-on impersonations, well-done show.
10:25 "You've done it Holmes you've solved the mystery Haha!- OH NO"
God that was so damn hilarious
Finally a decent upload of this show.
Now if we could just get Look Around You season 2 uploaded, that would be great!
Can't believe he predicted Sherlock's 2010s Tumblr shipping scene
The best - maybe the only - Alan Alda impression i've seen. Fantastic!
Is that the guy from Mash?
Look for Bill Hader's Alda impression on SNL...pretty good!
Yes, he plays Dr. "Hawkeye" Pierce :)
I thought the whole impression was preposterous, I mean, ridiculous.
Holy fuck it was like I was hearing Arnold Vinick from West Wing talking. Nuts
Probably the most underrated sketch show ever. Astonishingly high hit rate for each bit. Hasn't dated like Little Britain. The performances live up to the quality writing. Brian Butterfield is a character for the ages...
And Stevie is Stevie Gerrard, right?
I think stevie's just a scouser. Peter is from Liverpool originally after all
Pretty good. Id say cowards is the most underrated though
This is easily on par with that Mitchell and Webb look or bruiser, I have no idea how this didn't take off
or limmys show
Those shows didn't take off either. They just became more recognised after the fact, when their cast went on to become more famous for doing other things and drew more eyes upon their previous work.
TMAWL for example, only got about 1.8 million viewers at it's peak. To put that into context, a rerun of the Japanese Grand Prix around the same on the BBC pulled in 2.8 million viewers.
Better than Mitchell and Webb, that was always a bit stilted.
@@IAmPez are you English? peeep show was well before tmawl
@@jamesinhenley Yes, I am English. It wasn't really "well before" though, TMAWL actually began between series 3 and 4 of Peep Show, so it was aired concurrently and arguably still before PS really got to the full extent of it's popularity and exposure. To put into context, the Mark and Sophie wedding arc hadn't even happened yet when TMAWL aired.
TMAWL still never really took off or got noticed at all until after it's initial run, when more people had become entwined with Peep Show after it's own run had ended and people eventually found their way to shows like TMAWL, the live viewing figures for the time corroborate this.
Besides all that, clearly a large part of my original comment was referencing the Bruiser example given. Barely a soul would know or remember Bruiser if M&W via Peep Show, or Martin Freeman via The Office and his later woks etc never happened.
Alan Alda was the best Howard Stern impression Iâve ever heard.
Good ear. Now that you mention it...
When you realize this guy sells guns in the criminal underworld in John Wick 2.
It's almost like he's an actor or something! It's maaaad isn't it?
Yes, but will the guns clean my house?
His Chris Tarrant impression is insanely accurate.
It has every little nuance, it's perfect
Right down to the loud nasal breathing
Was looking for a comment on this! So perfect
This is the most underated show ever
This is better than a lot of the other crap that gets recomissioned for ongoing series. The sketch show and sitcom are dying out unfortunately.
Little Britain and the redhead woman, am' I Bovered -Catherine Tate kinda ushered the way out for sketch shows. The Fast Show and Scotland's brilliant, but increasingly stale Chewing the Fat were kind of becoming what the kids would deem nowaday's "Meme" Factories, basically catchprase comedy. Peter's entry was a breath of fresh air, for me anyway at the time. But Sitcom was back in fashion. Brian Dooley had penned the glorous "Smoking Room" and folk like the League of Gentlemen and Greg Hemphill and Ford Kiernan etc smelled the wind and knew Sitcoms were the buzz. Dickhead or not Graham Linehan can craft a Sitcom and Sitcoms became trendy again. Now quickfire is coming back again. Sitcoms had an air of twee about them. Only Fools and Horses devolved from lampoonish reflection on Class in Modern London, became Soap Opera. The Last Summer Wine had become Heartbeat. Aging folk rallying round the telle to watch thier character's next misadventure. Quickfire jokes and such like Panel shows are still a hit and with the " Vine" generation, one off gaffs are returning. Have I got News used to be funny and satirical, around the 2000's Angus Deaton left and guest hosts chimed in. The guy behind " Whose Line is it Anyway" stepped in and made the countershow - Mock the Week. It personally lacked the teeth Have I had, but it showcased fresher talent. Josh Widdecombe etc. It enjoyed itself with Dara hosting - it was a recipe for sucess. Buzzcocks was floundering and it showed. (Mark... Oh Mark) Now Panel shows were the new sketch.
No more evidence needed than Channel 4 actually has a 24\7 youtube channel dedicated to 8 out of 10 Cats. Seriously. 24\7 hour channel dedicated to a panel show. Only Discovery or Christmas or Porn gets a 24\7 channel. Obviously there's a Venn diagram somewhere that corrolates Climate change, shagging and David Mitchell's middle class rage in a Santa hat into a profitable subgroup... Outside of me
The only longest sketch show and sitcom is Studio C and Friends.
@@joegrimes9232 yea
"I personally liked this, which means it should've had more episodes even though other shows had more viewers."
Spot on with his accents.
how have i only just discovered this? i am dying
I'm so sorry you've got so little life left to enjoy this masterpiece of comedy.
This is real funny stuff man, I am completely dumbfounded as to why it was cancelled.
Me too
It's the prime example of a cult classic - popular but terrible ratings. Broadcasters don't care whether or not you liked it, just whether or not you watched it.
Got my reservation in for the next publication of Elephants & Trains magazine.
Already sold out
Michael-Paul Thompson Oh itâs me favourite

You can get back-issues on the black market.
They cost a fortune though.
I love this show, it is a real gem. So many good ideas, great performances from Serafinowicz... Great to see it uploaded here!
How the hell did I miss this 13 years ago ?? I was in the UK and haven't even heard of it until now, it's great
He can do literally anything and everything, anywhere at anytime. Goddamn brilliant.
đ this is better than Saturday night live
Absolutely love Peter. He can do an impression of anyone or anything. Really needed a second series
The Golden Anus. There's actually a take away Chinese in Leicester called The Golden Swallow. Makes me chuckle every time I pass by it.
They're used to be a
Chinese takeaway in Garston, Liverpool called Hung Fat.
Seriously.
We have a hot curry place in my original home town in South Australia called The Red Ass
I can come back and enjoy these episodes time and again. The humour is so original and densely-packed. Each sketch is like a buffet of comedy, full of nuanced details. And I'm so glad Peter didn't let them add a laughter track - it would have been totally wrong for this kind of subtle, often dark, humour.
Peter Serafinowicz and James McAvoy should play relatives in a movie together.
This is like what would happen if monty python and interdemensional cable were mashed together and I love it so fucking much
The skits are so short that I am still recovering while watching the next one.
BANG BANG BANG !
good bye dirt !
The jewellery hour is so spot-on.
Whenever I have chores to do, I'm going to wait for Derek Bum to show up
18:07 Here it is boys, what we've all been waiting for.
This 'terrifying model' is almost as scary as The Scary Picture.
âGood luck with those breasts.â Best comedy line ever
WHY only one series? This guy is so talented and this all so well written!!
em.. i think it's short for argument bargument
paul ball had a nasty fall when he was frightened by the ghost of his former employer
The shows f****** amazing I'm going to binge watch it now I'm in love
Bloody loved this show.
my emotions run very high when I solve a mystery lol
"I have a secret"
"Where did you get it?"
"I'm sorry?"
"Apology accepted"
OMG the Michael Caine impression - spot on
That heads or tails skit killed me!
I'm in love with that bride in the 70s "Let's get Married" video, who is she? She's a bloody 10 in my book!
Especially her big breasts
Belinda Stewart-Wilson
Will's mum.
Absolutely brilliant show. I love this first episode now as much as I did over 10 years ago when I first watched it. I'm glad that pete has opened u a niche in Hollywood
How have I only discovered this now. This is amazing
Thank you so much for posting these. I cannot get enough of this man. I've been a fan ever since he played "an asshole" on black books. I love Peter Serafinowicz!
Fraaan?!
Eyes Closed News gets me every time.
One of the greatest sketch shows ever
0:15 Such an awesome impersonation of C3PO!
this is a diamond in the rough, thank you for the upload and great quality too!

Absolutely hilarious đ€Ł I've been in stitches!
This show is very good, I just sort of stumbled on it, love the make up so well done and the impersinations
I *just* started watching M*A*S*H and the Alan Alda bit was quite satisfying.
01:58 "pull yourself together man" hahahahaha
I LOVE when they do American accents!
What a joy to behold, such an incredible range. A shame the show never got the attention it deserved at the time.
I never caught on that Peter voices the character âMild-mannered Pateâ in Dark Souls II as well. Good stuff!
This was never on British Television, sham it is brilliant.đđđđđ
this is better than most of yt advertisement
Just discovered this. Really good. Don't know why it isn't better known.
Peter is a genius , up there with Coogan and Matt Berry .
He's damn good at impressions
Very good acting with lots of good impersonations
Discovered this comedy genius by accident, serendipity pays off
He's voice is gold.
It's funny because Heads or Tails actually became a real tv show
Always ahead of his time. His Spacey impression was eery too: czcams.com/video/LPafNZkpX9M/video.html
Peter is so tallented he could play a tin of peas .
That Michael Caine impression is fantastic
Bloody hell the two actresses are gorgeous !
Bumgardener Kreme Willâs mum from the inbetweeners and April from peep show!
There at least a six and a seven
Agree. Real women.
Ok you got me with Eyes Closed News. And solid Alan Alda impression.
Loved this and 'Look around you'. Funny man.
This is genius work!
Lol it's funny to see Benedict Wong in these Sketches, now that he is in the MCU

How awesome. What British gold
I love this show.
Omg Iâm so glad I stumbled onto this. Stevie loves it!
If you can get Look Around You as well, that would be great. That is due a decent upload!
We will try our bloody hardest to get that.
What are birds? We just don't know......
Ohh that would be good!!
Elephants and Trains Magazine haha. I just love that haha. Reminds me of all those magazine adverts from the early 2000s.
Love British comedy. đđ
Probably the first time Belinda Stewart Wilson has ever been called a 6.
This is amazing
WOW, I first saw Peter Serafinowicz in the Tick. But this guy is brilliant. He is funny and a great actor, he can do impressions, strange I hadnÂŽt seen him anywhere before..
That Alan Alda impression is fantastic.
The Chris Tarannt impression is UNBELIEVABLE. How can you capture someoneâs voice, cadence and mannerisms as perfectly as that?
