All the more reason South Africa needs a domestic car company, so that we aren't held hostage by multi-national corporations. I support NUMSA and all workers in this country.

Everywhere numsa goes it leaves a trail of unemployment destruction. While countries are relaxing their labour laws SA with its militant unions are demanding more hence most companies will avoid investing in this country. It's a matter of fact companies are in the business of profits not charity and anyone can be a worker but not everyone can be an employer.

That's why your jobs are going to go to countries like Tunisia and India . Before 1994 South Africa was the only country in Africa that had car manufacturing/assembly plants. Now car manufacturers are flocking to North African countries because if the barbaric workers led by militant unions. Investors are going to pull out if these country and then you'll squirm when you become unemployed. Investors want to make a profit and if labour becomes more expensive they leave to countries where labour is less expensive.

Did the workers understand the situation which Ford already sign with Artificial intelligence (AI) next move it would replace workers skills if they strike again they would see themselves jobless.

Looking at statsSA its the areas were workers had unions involved who saw the biggest retrenchments. Time for statsSA to update the unemployment numbers

Why dont they start their own manufacturing company. What stops them from running their own company? 3000 of them will have a big company. Why do they want to be employed?

Typical eff groupie instigating workers to destroy their livelihood while you live and work overseas and yet you won't jeopardize your own job by striking there.
