- Is your plastic roof rack causing water to leak inside your car? Ours was, so we replaced it with aluminum L-track aircraft tiedowns and installed a chair up to socially distance ourselves for safe, off-road fun.
If bolting a seat to your roof sounds a little crazy then you must be new here - welcome to the weirder side of Subaru off-road. Our main off-road project car is a 1998 Subaru Forester known simply as Granny. Feel free to gather up your favorite snacks and peruse through our channel for more fun shenanigans.

We're tinkering around with the idea of adding a roll cage that doubles as a tent. Could just make that aero instead.

This is a classic example of a well thought out plan. The roof chair has a seat belt and everything. What could go wrong.

how'd y'all handle the l-track-to-car parts of this? thinking about copying you guys on my sf for my roof basket, you think there'll be any new rust issues to worry about?
Not if you seal it well. Not super difficult to do when you consider the factory adhesive is nothing special. We used rubber plated washers and strips of closed cell foam.
