What ever happened to this organ????? - Zábava
Thanks for uploading
Five years later, but thanks, Graham. Screen on Brothers used to have that same Mary Poppins arrangement by Razenberg with their 89-key Gavioli organ. It was one of the big favourites, back in the 1970's.
The Mary Poppins selection i think you are referring to on Screeton Bros Gavioli was arranged by Marcel Van Boxtal
I dont know who the arranger is but i do know it is a VERY long book, about 16 minutes. The most well known Mary Poppins medley was arranged by Marcel Van Boxtel. I have an arrangement by JK de Ruijter who i think, transcribed it from Gerrard Razenberg's arrangement.
If you want to know, a litle piece of history of this organ:
It was built by Mortier as a danceorgan and after the WW II the organ was transform to a tranportable concert/streetorgan by ? then the organ was rebuilt by Anton Pluer who gets out the Cello-grave registers and built Biphone I and Biphone II in the organ in place of the Cello-grave register and Baxophone, But many organfriends where of the opinion that the organ to much like on a Frei organ,
The organ is rebild by the Fa. Pluer in Bussum
In the 70 its playing in Alkmaar by Wim in t Hol
also he has owned the " Minerva - Mortier"
The "Gerard Razenberg March"
This pipework is now bourdon second melody and moved up to the centercase. in the middle.
This organ is now "De Broadway". You can find this organ on CZcams.
Yes it is the Broadway now.
I certainly sounds different now!,what happeed to the pipework in the bottom?
So Anton Pluer reverse the biphone II register(on counter sang) to Cello grave
(I hope that it is right wat I just wrote)
