      The bike is worth the wait if you get it! I think it's backordered right now. But I think they have a large shipment of bikes arriving end of this month to July. I really do recommend it. I'll give you 3 quick reasons why. 1. It's fun, an eye catcher and just dope. 2. You learn a lot, not just about your bike but your community, neighborhood, roads, and and meet new people. This really gets you out and interact with people. 3 You get exercise, just because its an ebike doesn't mean you don't get exercise. Don't listen to people that says ebikes are cheating. They lack the capacity to realize their bike is like 10lbs while this bike is 109lbs. And what's cheating? We aint racing, and if a race was to occur, for sure you'll dust em.

    • @JCharIie
      @JCharIie  Před rokem +1

      This is a hard question to answer. You will need to modify the actual frame if you want to have a customize wheels. The limitation is how the frame is welded and the amount of space a tire sits on. there are some ebike kits that have reenforce rims and spokes for high power motors. like the 3kw, 5kw, and 8kw motors usually have steel spokes and rims.

    Hey JCharlie! what's your take on the quality of the grizzly? I've been reading on complaints about them from the BBB and majority is mostly on quality of the batteries and customer service that if there's quality issues with them such as electronic issues, they are not responsive on resolving them? I'm now hesitant on purchasing them just because of lack of customer service. It's not a good idea spending thousands and if you have a problem, I hear you're out of luck. What's your experience and advice on them?

    • @JCharIie
      @JCharIie  Před rokem +1

      Yea, there's been complains about their customer service and lots of individuals ride the " you void the warranty." I'll break it down for you with my opinion regarding the customer service and what you should do when you purchase a PEV.
      1A. Customer service: They will only entertain within warranty issues. Sadly, most customers have little to lack of background about ebikes. So knowing what's "broken, malfunctioning, or just not working" at delivery is difficult for individuals to determine. That said, any services that may be needed is all base on warranty. Any modifications or add-ons will void warranty, differing your eligibility for repairs. It's silly really, because certain modified parts that dont pertain to your specific broken area, completely results in a voided warranty. all other repairs or parts will be out of pocket if needed.
      1B: The company tries to avoid all the repairs because it's costly for them. One thing about ebikes is that most of these parts come from China. Parts are easily found. You might find it easy to purchase or upgrade your bike through multiple websites. With the current ebike market and companies, well above 90% of their parts originate from the same place. There might be a slight deviation of of wire or how it's presented but otherwise parts are the same.
      1C: the Ebike: Beside the anatomy of a basic bike, wheels, crank, handlebars, etc.
      These are what you should determine if they are malfunctioning. Also the actual bike , like the bent frames, derailers, mounts, etc. This what makes an ebike, an ebike.
      Controller: box like device, that regulate how much voltage comes out of the battery to the motor giving you speed and rotation. Controller also reads out information from the motor and sends it to the display.
      Battery: Power supply. More voltage more power. Must be compatible with the controller.
      Motor: found in a cylinder like form in the middle of the wheel, aka hub. what rotates the wheels. Also must be compatible with the controller. and battery
      Display: where all the information is projected.
      These parts follow the same arrangement for all ebikes, escooters, eboards, EUC, even in RC cars,boats, drones, place, and helis.

      The stock tires are not for everyone depending on the area we live. I say this for all ebike fat tires, not just AR. They’re too soft and easily punctured. I had my neighbor’s tires get punctured within hours of getting the ebike. And he had installed tannus on it too.

      You need to base it on the chart they have on the website. Please note that there’s a whole fiasco that Ariel rider have no control over. It’s not just Ariel Rider having this issue. That’s the shipping from manufacture to the US. Then there’s that whole shipment customs and picking up the actual shipments when it arrives in the US and truck driver canceling the pick up. Then Ariel Rider still has to sort the order out in the warehouse. But once it reaches the warehouse. It’s fast. They get that bike ship right away. Depending where you live in the US. It may take a day or two up to a week for the door delivery.
      That said don’t be frustrated. A lot of people will talk about that. But be patient. The bike will come to you. And it is worth the wait.

And if you want your grizzly to take on that cafe racer look. All you gotta do is change the handlebars to a mountain bike or a short drop BMX handlebar. While waiting for the bike. One of which I lock around the wheels and the u-lock for the frame. Fortunately I live in the bay where 90% of the population uses the iPhone. So the AirTag works flawlessly here and its installed in the controller which isn’t easily accessible on the grizzly. The other gps system I have is a SIM card base. True story. I went to see a friend in SF. Some houses there have a shared garage. I had parked my bike there. Someone from her neighbor had touched my bike. I noted the handlebar was turned the opposite way and it definitely moved a foot forward. The guy said his kid touched the bike. My friend said she’s lived there for over a year and not once has she seen a kid. To conclude, I was able to hear all the alarms. And no way this guy was going to attempt to lift this bike inside his house. 2-2-2 is a bit much but does give me a peace of mind.

      Yes. There’s bots out there having the same profile and name. It’s been happening all over CZcams for sometime now and CZcams is slow in handling the problem. It’s not my account. If you click on the comment that said you won. It will direct you to a CZcams page with a number and probably a boy account created within the last few weeks. People contact me via instagram and direct message. And I’m not doing any giveaway nor have I stated in any videos.

    Very cool my brother! I'm totally good with my Tannus Armour and Super73 tires.
    I had seen another CZcamsr who said his range decreased quite a bit with the Shinko. With your riding conditions however I undertand your safely is paramount.
    Used to live in Sunnyvale for many years. Travel through San Jose regularly. Crime didn't used to be that bad 30 years ago. Oops, revealing my age. I guess in the last 30 years crime probably gotten a lot worse everywhere. Keep up the good works!
    Btw, what's your Instagram handle? Ought to have links to your page and product mods.

      @JCsikad is my instagram. I actually put a small clip on the youtube video around 22 minutes showing no indication of top speed changes. Perhaps people are installing their wheels unbalanced. Yea crime throughout the bay area is increasing. It's the inflation with the economy. Bay area is transitioning between the super rich and poor. The middle class are moving out. Recently in SF, the major companies are actually ending their lease and allowing their workers to work from home or wherever they are. Lots empty buildings in SF, SJ, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, etc with ridiculous price and not many open jobs for people. It is spreading throughout the bay area.

      @@JCharIie Ok cool. Just followed you on Instagram.
      I liked your Voltage to percentage battery conversion chart. Good info. Yeah I have mine displayed in Voltage also. I can keep track of voltage sag.
      Wonder what the next, soon to arrive recession is going to do to the Bay Area.
      Son and his wife bought a 40 yo home in Fremont for $650k about 7 years ago. Now it's over $1.5 million. Crazy
      I like it here in the Houston areas. Glad to see lots of Bay Areas tech companies are moving to Texas. Good to see Elon and Giga Texas in the Austin and SpaceX at Boca Chica. Perfect timing since I'm waiting for a reserved Cybertruck.
      Looking forward to your next video.
