The detail in his works are mesmerizing.
indeed
Jesus...that triptych is fascinating. I'd love to just see it in person and have several good hours to just stare at every detail. Some good sativa wouldn't hurt either. Beautiful artwork...very inspiring to my own art; definitely have a lot to consider now.
I´ve had some trippy feeling when i saw his works, like a deep sensation of clarity.
RustyFiReWorKs iiiiii
RustyFiReWorKs absolutely
Being an artist means you never stop thinking. Your brain never essentially shuts down enough to give you a break and although this could be wonderful for coming up with new ideas and being extremely innovative in your craft; it makes life so much harder than it needs to be. Just imagine living in a constant state of complexity like that... that's what it's like to be an artist, you're always thinking, always creating...
I think this is true.... however, now days even idiots, craftsmen, and plagiarizers, are called artists.
everyone does think but what's really important is what kind of thinking you do I guess.
I don't think it has anything to do with the fact you're an artist, of course everything has its negative side to it, even something you love doing. But when it starts to make your life harder, then something else is probably going wrong.
Word
always thinking and constantly daydreaming yes. so true.
Art is wonderful. You will never find a more pure expression of the human mind.
+letsgoiowa The word "art" is meaningless. You could take a urinal, put it in a museum, call it art and no one could prove you wrong. When everything can be called art, then the word has no meaning.
+Miranox more like when people forget to recognize art, it loses its meaning. Art is the highest and purest form of communication humans can perform and it saddens me that so many people do not understand it or its purpose.
+Miranox art is subjective
starberry2947
Art is far from subjective. Either something is artistic or it isn't. Taste is subjective. You can recognize art without particularly liking it.
wtf Yeah it is
This is what I love about being an artist.
The things that go on in our heads...some are amazing, others are really *really* stupid.
But put our favorite art tools in our hands and give us a canvas and we will make you find our stupid ideas beautiful.
The imagery in his pictures are amazing. I can just imagine them all swirling around, moving, changing, and growing in his mind and he just needed to sketch it all out before it became too big and beautiful to contain all in his head alone.
yeah, it's a shame it's so hard to make a living doing inspired and expressive art.
Jozzarozzer Yup.
You would have to draw what everyone else wants for years before you are finally able to make money drawing what you want.
Have I seen you around before? You seem really cool. Weren't you the one with friend who you flirt with and she cuddles you but hangs out with other women?
Mhappiwis Yes, that was me. XD
CZcams is my unhealthy obsession, its hard for me to go a day without watching a video.
Phantomhive Okay cool, If I ever see you again I'm going to comment, "coward cake"
Jesus...that triptych is fascinating. I'd love to just see it in person and have several good hours to just stare at every detail. Some good sativa wouldn't hurt either. Beautiful artwork...very inspiring to my own art; definitely have a lot to consider now.
avedic amazing! I'd def go to his museum on acid
I watched this video high and it was awesome!
were all gonna die real soon * standing ovation *
Kaleigh it was the way he said it (maybe like a kid that knows where his mom hid the candy) that made me smile
I loved the way he exclaimed one of life's heaviest realities (death) as a beautiful form of inspiration. :) brilliant!
His last words really reminded me of one of Guru Pathik's quotes from Avatar:The Last Airbender:"The greatest illusion of this world is the illusion of seperation.Things you think are seperate and different are actually one and the same.We are all one people, but live as if divided."
Oh, the nostalgia that show gives me! :')
We are divided.
wow ... this comment gave me goosebumps!
hitu rana a show to show your kids
when did Goku say that?
Wow, I thought I was watching just another artist but his last words are very wise.
it's sweet, isn't it?
well he's not wrong so that's good
Denics most artists are wise...
I think THIS GUY IS AHEAD OF OUR TIME. All jokes aside this man's artwork is breathtaking! So beautiful in so many ways, can't even describe it with words😍😍😍
Bruh he is not agreed of time
Our tone is great
Our time is great
Our time is great
the best thing about being an artist is the ability to make ‘ugly’ things beautiful
First impressions...
there is a random abandon in this artist's work and a random abandon in the way he presented this Ted Talk. And yet... there is a methodical layering of little elements, little bits of life, meaning, contemplation, understanding, imagery, expression, etc, that creates a cohesive whole in the art and in the Talk. I think the randomness, the abandon, the methodical layering, all of it, speaks volumes about his process. You just have to peel back the layers in your process of discovery regarding this Talk just as the artist lays down the layers of imagery in his work. He speaks the same way as he creates, through layers.
I see pockets of comments here that speaks to "not learning much" from this talk, of it looking "like a commercial" for this artists work............
There is so much more here than meets the eye and or the ear.
So stop, look, and listen :)
Everything you need to glean from this Ted Talk is there for you to discover.
This presentation is deeper than you think............ just look and listen for it.
Regina Perry I enjoyed the talk, but reading this made me realise that I barely scratched the surface of its depth while watching. Thank you, Regina -- I'll be watching it mindfully the second time. :)
I feel like that is the basis of almost any interaction we encounter conscious or not. I totally agree. Maybe you need to be a little "crazy" to see it.
I have an undying respect for any creative that has the drive to create with such an individualistic and unique approach, regardless what he or she may be able to teach in a 7 minute segment. Incredibly engaging works of art, I would kill to make a film with this man!
Think inside the box.
I feel like the term "Artist"is very broad. I'm a Creative Writing student and henceforth write frequently. I consider myself to be an artist of sorts or at least artistic in my work. Be interesting to see what other people think about my theory. An artist is not only someone with a paintbrush. It's when someone is given a blank canvas (I mean that in the both literal and metaphorical sense of the word) and creates something with it.
Anyone who creates....is an artist
You just discovered that? By the way, it's called a writer and when you write a text you become the author of this text. Same with a kid drawing on a piece of paper, the kid becomes the author. The word "artist" have many different perceptions to it, that's all there is to know.
Nothing overly philosophical.
I like your view, before I start, I think everyone has his own opinion on what art is, and that those opinions together define the term "art" so here comes my opinion on the definition of art: art is when an idea becomes an image. When an artist made a visual translation of his idea
+Nieuwe Buurjongen so in that sense is a lot of written works are defenitely art
Music ist visual tho? are you saying its not an art form? I think what you meant is taking an idea out of your brain and realizing it, thats definitely art :P
I could listen to this man speak all day!!
This guy.. is a genius! The tiny details in his work are just downright awesome
Very cool artwork, especially the humanoid figures.
hey you have good content , subscribe to my channel and i will subscribe you
Weirdly awesome guy! Love his work and his unconventional perspective of the World.
+bmw2go11 Well, I think that the lesbian thing makes him even more interesting.
I was raised by lesbians in the mountains, lmao what a great start
Right? LOL
no. 👎👎👎👎👎
@@premiumaccount4166 why?
@@premiumaccount4166 ????
It really is
I don’t think most people see the world the way artists do. I can’t imagine seeing the world differently from what I do, but the older I’ve gotten the more I’ve realized that other people don’t really see or feel the same way I do. It’s weird and kind of indescribable to people who don’t experience it but I think artists see and feel the world a little more than normal people do
Even as a non art enthusiast, this, THESE PIECES, are GOLD.
I could stare at his art for ages!! So much to discover in the details.. :)
Amazing artwork...I can't even imagine how he plans for these projects.
This guy got a nice mind
His art is something amazing, I haven't seen anything like it before.
His works are AMAZING!!! :O
his work is amazing, don't usually understand modern art but this is real good and detailed
I adore an artist who makes art that tells the story of where us humans are at!
(and not just about trying to appeal to collectors like many artists I happen to know)
I really dig that female figure emerging from the Ocean with all the trash and oil, obviously Mother Nature; although he kept his talk on the D.L.
Tipping Point statement heard loud and clear!
Strange coincidence. I've layered glass, and wanted to experiment with epoxy resin with spray paint, and other mixed media for years. This artist has the right idea. Very appreciated.
The start is wonderful. "I was raised by lesbians in the mountains" I want my child to tell people that one day.
Great stuff, I love art that you can look at multiple times and still discover new things. I sold a piece called Separation, where there was a crying girl in the foreground with a river behind her crossing from left to right with a tree with no leaves in the background. Three mouths later he says to me you hid a male form in the branches of the tree it makes way more sense now, I just laughed.
This piece of art sounds beautiful and mentally stimulating just from the description! I just sat here trying to picture it, then picture the realization of the hidden male form and the light bulb coming on like OOOOOooo! I love art that is kinda like optical illusions to eye
I had never heard most of his ideas and his perspective toward life in my entire life! It was new to me! Bravo
I love the message he sends through his art (the importance of togetherness and realizing we are one), and I have noticed many other artists sending this message lately (including myself). 🎨❤🌎
This guy's nervous laugher/wheezing cracks me up more than his jokes :D
Damn!!!! Dustin's work is sic!!!! Awesome stuff!! And extremely valid ending point!!
i love when people find their own style. i love this.
im actually conducting research for a story im writing about an artist and this came up in my reccomendations. its just what i need as some of the topics he delves in to are very similar to the subjects im touching on in my story. this was very much needed
I guess the woman in the front row was never told to chew with her mouth closed as a child.....
haaha love this comment 😂
Royal i was looking for someone to mention it in the comments 😂
Hahahahahaha
Royal ...I noticed that right away. Chewing gum with your mouth closed is uncouth enough but chewing open mouthed is just plain disgusting!
This is one of the BEST ted talks I've ever seen💜. I loved that guy! Artistic, original, funny, and just chill🤗 #Artlife
Wow- crazy stuff man! I wish i could see his work in person and just stare at it for hours, looking at every little detail and drawing within this master piece. And meet him in person, obviously!! Very inspiring :D
Mr. Yellin, as I started listening to you share your stand up and I found it intriguing, along with very interesting. You have a unique style about yourself and how you share your story. The combination of art through science, chemicals, and how you share your take on the world through art is amazing. I wish you the best in your future and landing all your goals. God Bless You!
Loved what he said in the end! I think it was just the way he said it. Exchange ideas, have conversations, have contradictions as well but do it sweetly, nicely so that we can cherish not just the highs, but the lows as well. That is what's gonna complete life. We all the same and in this together.
i love how he just keeps walking here and there.
I love this guy. Feels like a kindred spirit! I love collecting and assembling things (:
This man's art is so define and detailed. he's amazing like truly creative and imaginative
That's like the most beautiful speech I've ever heard and the most beautiful boxes I've ever seen!
(...) "we are all in this together that this dellusion of difference, this idea of countries, ths idea of borders, of religion... Doesn't work. Like we are all really made up of the same stuff in the same box. And if we don't start exchanging that stuff sweetly and nicely, we are all gonna die real soon."
- May politicians learn this.
- May art change the world.
Appreciation to you, Dustin.
Diego Ambrosio ...Humanity is my tribe!
I love this so much, we all are live together on one beautiful Earth

This artist's imagination is just out of this world, absolutely wondrous!

Wow! I do similar work. Multi-layer resin paintings. It’s cool to see him do this with glass-I’ll have to try it!
Love this man and his work.
That is some of the best art I've seen.
I love this so much!! Your work makes my head explode ... I'm so excited to spend time looking at it!! Thank you!!

Inspiring - video is from 2015 - seen it now - 2019. So, I wonder what the craziest new pieces of art he managed to create in the length of nearly 4 years gap [from then till now] Great stuff! Cheers o/
Wow, truly inspiring and captivating work!
This dude is amazing!
Bravo!
I love The Garden of Earthly Delights. Probably my favorite piece of all time
That last part, I would consider to be complete and utter truth. In due time, people will realize how essential that concept will be for humanities growth.
i have never felt so good to be an artist
incredible
he understand the world... we are all human, religion or colors doesn't matter. I like his art works as well. gosh that's.... amazing..!

Art is the best healer..he is so full of life💯💥💥💚💚💚💕💕love this
Very nice art work, and various messages behind the pieces. Also, a great deal of time and dedication to this form of art, which I presume at first had resistance.
One of the deepest ted talks
