26:24 This movie is so meta, they've even put in the film's score comosers, Daft Punk, into the movie as DJs at the _End of Line_ club., complete with their signature helmets that fit in beautifully with the film's aesthetics.

I watched the original Tron as a kid. Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner (Tron/Alan) were the bomb. It was great for programmers or people who knew about computers, but it was more of a nerd hit than a commercial success. Still, it was innovative for its time, and as home computers and other tech became more popular, Tron became a cult classic. This movie was actually a good sequel, and with the Daft Punk soundtrack and a great cast, I have to say that I enjoyed it. Also, this is filmed in my home - Vancouver, BC. The scene of them at the end is Lion's Gate Bridge.

I think CLU and his army of programs would start invading not physically but digitally through Phones, Computers ETC. slowly corrupting programs and eventually eliminating humans. Sorta like terminator where everything is linked technologically that they would be able to control many systems in the real world including military systems. Creating a new world of "Perfect" programs much like the world Sam's dad tried to create in the movie.

"That's a hell of a way to treat your son" "I'm not your father, Sam. But I'm very, very happy to see you"
"I created the perfect system!" "The thing about perfection is that it's unknowable. You wouldn't know that because I didn't when I created you"
"I'd have given it all up for one more day with you" "Goodbye, kiddo"

This has one of THE BEST SOUNDTRACKS ever made for a movie (in my opinion).
It is honestly really unfortunate that IF we actually get the sequel they have been planning for the past few years we will not get another soundtrack by Daft Punk (they stopped music-production in 2021).
I really hope whoever they hire for the soundtrack builds on what Daft-Punk created with this movie

Thank you so much for reacting to my favorite film of all time! Legacy is a constant source of creative inspiration in my life and I don't know who I would be today if I hadn't seen it in theaters in 3D in 2010. If you ever get the chance to watch it in 3D, please do so. It's one of the very few films that utilizes the technology correctly. And to answer your questions about the world (the Grid) that weren't really elaborated on in the film, I highly recommend watching TRON: Uprising. It's an absolutely stunning animated series that takes place before this film and is scored by the same composer as Legacy (Joseph Trapanese.) You'll love it too since you loved Legacy's Daft Punk/Trapanese score.

You should go ahead and watch the original. It's weird & janky, but the filmmaking tech available in the early 80's forced it to have style & vfx that are still unique even today. It's also important historically as the first feature length film to have shots that are entirely CGI. It fills in the story & answers some of your questions about how it all works & what it was like before. The acting isn't always the best, but Jeff Bridges & David Warner are awesome as usual.

I'm a new subscriber and when I saw this in your list of vids, I had to watch. Many of your questions would have been answered if you had watched the original first. I loved the reaction though. Maybe go back and watch the original just for yourself. It definitely broke new ground when it came out. I love it still to this day. So much nostalgia in the second movie.

Also very Matrixy....both Terminator and the Matrix are also cautionary tales for humans. Very entertaining movies and stories and am looking forward to the 3rd Tron installment. Great reaction, you should go back and watch the original

If you consider all the Program bits as their User equivalents, this movie is absolutely gorey, Clu ain't so complicated, he's half No No Mustache man & half Lucfer.
