Great information about using reins which says go “where I’m telling you to go” versus a method to say “don’t go there.” A great clarification!

So refreshing to hear trainers and clinicians that reference each other openly and don’t feel in competition with each other. ( yes! agreed that TIK is really brilliant and it doesn’t surprise me that these two are in the same circle!)
That open respect really shows a level of professionalism and class. Our attention is the currency these days on CZcams, and positivity like this will keep us coming back to your channels.

I really like the presentation. You make it clear working with the psyche of the horse, getting them thinking and making choices, makes so much sense. Explaining the difference in what you are asking with reins vs the leg pressure, I really liked that. Thankyou

That was great especially looking at it could be something in the arena, my brain just didn’t go there i was thinking all other stuff like is the horse balanced is the rider doing blah but not is he heading to the gate, its that keep is simple, that’s why I like your videos you say in 2 words that takes me 2 sentences no wonder my students roll their eyes at me LOL.
I really agree and have taken on the idea of let the horse find the answer don’t tell them, it really has help to soften how I ask my horse and my horses are softening up as well.
Thanks for great videos and fantastic info.

My horse dont like galop in our paddock wich are quite big. My theory is that he is afraid to stumble or slip in the quorners so therefore he does not work through on the shortsides you really have to push him. He can galop standing still if he wants to, so the problem isnt that. But since i want him to work through the shortsides himself ive really engaiged this past few days for him to be more responsible (in ryans word) of his own balance. It gets better though we havnt stumbled or slipped ones. But there are still room for inprovement. Its my own fault though, i havent trained him for nearly 8 years, only trailride him along with my smaller horse. Since im a single mom its more convinient to do. But thanks for waking my intrest in training again. My goal is to start train with the dressage team. Since im more of western it gets really intresting, but its not alot of those organisations or events where i live.

You are an awesome horse trainer. I like the way you explain and break things down so we can understand what you are trying to do. Beautiful work! Where are you located?

My mare has a hard time going where i ask her too for some reason. It is not usually becausw of another horse she just picks a direction and wont go any other way. I have made her feet move and had some sucess but every day we start back over again? I know she is very lazy and was not trained properly.(diddnt come from a good home) i am trying my best to make us one and i am stuck.
