Beginner interested in a coach? I can help you here! --- apexcoaching.carrd.co/ - Zábava
"I don't know why he's taking so long to think" The guy took 20 seconds!🤣 I like the humility you showed when you moved to quickly and got forked! It is what it is. What did you learn from these games if anything?
This is the issue with this gambit variation you play against the fantasy, if white knows theory (which your opponent kind of did) you are just down a pawn with no compensation (+1.1). You should look into 5.Ne7 instead of 5.Qb6 as that is the top engine move and pretty sure even at 2000 level white will be out of theory.
@@Lucan23 for sure, It was just an easy and kind of forcing line for me to remember rather than study the other theory but now that I'm seeing it more ill probably have to come up with another weapon
What ELO did you start at?
On day 1 of this series I was 1300
@@ApexChesss wow, and you’re at 1900 in a year? That’s pretty impressive. How much are you playing and what’s your training routine like? I’ve been stuck at 1500 for awhile, been trying to get to 1800.
@@theroaman8759 i had a coach from 1300-1700 to be fair which helped a ton. i do puzzles daily and lately havent been on point with my study but i have a chessable account for my opening study and also endgame study with a free course on there. i think the main thing is to switch your mindset and focus on blundering less and being more aware of what your opponent is wanting. also switching to 15+10 rather than the 10 minute games was great for my growth. openingtree is a great sight to see where maybe your weak openings are(and yes i know, maybe you didnt lose because of the opening but if you are losing in those games then you probably arent getting good positions out of the opening or dont know the ideas) hope this helps! 1500 was hard for me to break also but i firmly believe it was by learning my openings better and paying more attention to blunders and such in my games
@@ApexChesss awesome. Thanks for the tips. I find myself just playing a lot of games and not really analyzing or doing any training. For the next 30 days just tactics and study, no games for me. Hoping that helps. Endgames are something I hope to get down, I’ve heard that is a big part of advancing from 1500 to 1800. Thanks again.
@@theroaman8759 you should analyze all your games. thats where you learn the most. figure out common mistakes or figure out what to do against certain moves in the opening that you havent seen or seeing a new tactic or idea that you can keep in mind for next time. id say just play less games and more study, you dont have to stop playing all together although a break helps a lot. yeah just search up basic endgames course on chessable and do the basic ones in that. it helped me a lot
In the fantasy i prefer to take e4 first then play e5
Nice
@@ApexChesss i play this line too, i would highly recommend it to anyone, give it a try, idk if it works well at your level tho (im 1550)
@@BoosterGaming231 I'm aware this is the mainline and I know the moves to an extent. I just haven't studied it much so I don't want to play it since a fantasy player 100% will out prep me in it which Is why I go for the off beat move in hopes that the other player isn't super prepped but I'll definitely have to study the fantasy variation a bit more as I'm starting to see it more now
@@ApexChesss makes sense, i think at the higher level surprising your opponent right from the opening is a big win
@@BoosterGaming231 yeah for sure. many people at this level have probably studied the main lines of their opening choice so i try and avoid it but just like the albin counter gambit i used to play, its def time to get something less tricky and better
Weren't you 1900 last vid?
@@ItzGlottis yeah I play chess on my own time too sometimes, not just for the channel
Use a different account?
@@XlogicXX no lol, if I feel good and want to play chess without recording imma do it on my main account
@@ApexChesss do you.
OK APEX I GOT YOU HELp. seems like being a pawn down in your fantasy variation seems unpleasant, so after f3 you can play e6 and bb4 and put your knight on f6 and go for c5 if your opponent goes e5, i promise this will help i play this aswell
Nah imma just study the mainline soon and stop being lazy hahaha
@@ApexChesss actually this setup is the main line dxe4 e5 is just trending i prefer e6 and bb4 but you can do what u want gd luk
i can beat you apex! (im not talking about chess😈👺)
@@ApexSlayer12 you wish
This is unreal.
Apex Slayer hahaha
