I don't remember who it was but years ago a host on MSNBC asked a Republican politician about cutting aid to an allied foreign country. During the interview, the host asked if we should cut aid to the country we provide the most funding to & the Republican said yes, but when the host said it was Israel the Republican tried to backtrack. Then, the host said should we instead cut aid to the next highest country we give which was Egypt & the Republican said yes. However, the host then said that due to some foreign agreement from years ago we can't cut aid for Egypt without cutting aid for Israel. So, essentially politicians love to talk about cutting foreign aid, but so long as they will blindly support Israeli funding they never will do so.
You can not like Putin, but that doesn't automatically make you "anti-Russian." You can not like the British monarchy, but that doesn't automatically make you "anti-United Kingdom." So how is it someone can be against the leadership of Israel, but they are automatically called "anti-Israeli?" Plus, shouldn't American politicians care more about the United States above all other countries? Yet we see plenty come to the defense of Israel over things U.S. citizens say all of the time.
If we cut the military industrial complex budget by just 10% (including the amount we give to countries like Israel & Saudi Arabia) we could fund almost every domestic program in the United States, but too many politicians across the political spectrum don't want to do that.

Saying the US doesn't get anything in return is a lie. You are purposely or negligently misleading your viewers. The US has an airforce base and training bases in Israel completely completely dedicated to American interest. It is mostly paying for defense systems because by far it would've been cheaper for Israel to bring down Hamas an PA, and it is actually against their interest to keep things as they are. By the way, the US provides aid to more than a few countries, and the few billions it spends on Israel is far more efficient for American interest than the next half a trillion we spend here in America in the defense budget. But tyt know their viewers don't understand nuance so it's anti-Israel rehitoric at any opportunity. I don't think Cenk and Anna mentioned a single time in their life that Hamas and PLO committed thousands of terrorist attacks, on civilian busses, markets, shopping malls, schools etc.
