So Pau, the drummer, sings lead or duets with her sister Dany, the guitarrist, in about ⅓ of their songs. Ale, the bassist, only sings lead when her sisters need relief. Dany is the principal singer. They all sing backup. Spanish is their native language.

They’ve had my full attention since discovering them over a year ago. They love what they do and it shows in every performance. They’ve been playing since they’ve been kids and it’s all documented, starting with incredible covers of everyone’s hard rock favorites. They started writing their own music shortly after they started. Unlike many examples of talented kids being pushed or manipulated by their parents or other adults, these girls are grounded, disciplined and driven. Their parents were wise enough to give them the support they needed and then get out of they way. Exceptional but humble and down to earth, the nicest people you could meet, they are the best thing to happen to the rock world in decades. You’re going to love discovering their already rich catalog. Each song you hear will be your new favorite. Until the next one.

Pau has been singing while playing drums for around 14 years by now. To train her breath and build capacity, she sings while running. English is their second language. They’ve been performing in front of audiences for over ten years. Anything live from Teatro Metropolitan is incredible, pro shot production. Try Enter Sandman live from this concert. It hits harder than the official music video, it’s just the three of them and Pau’s harmony and Ale’s backing vocals are much more pronounced. Subbing to see more TW and help you with the algorithm.

In response they wrote their first Spanish song called Narcissista, which was kind of their F U to the critics. It also features drummer Pau singing lead. I first discovered The Warning back in mid 2015 when they were literally children doing covers and their father was posting videos of them on you tube for friends and family to see the girls progress. I knew right off the bat that there was something special about these three “little girls”. It has been nearly eight years since I saw a video of them doing a cover of Metallicas Enter Sandman and have not missed a single day since in which I have listened to or watched a video of these amazing young sisters.
In my 63 plus years of life I have never been so into a band as I am these young ladies. They are simply in a class of their own as no two songs sound alike. They exhibit a very wide range of “styles” in their music, yet at the same time have created a unique and distinct sound that is unmistakably their own. I believe it is impossible for them to produce a bad song.
I have been saying for many years now that they would one day be known world wide, and be recognized as one of, if not the greatest power trio of all time. If you continue down this rabbit hole I believe you will agree that they are well on their way to bringing that prediction to fruition. Mark my words, these sisters will, without a doubt, sell out arenas and stadiums, and not just be invited to participate in, but headline the biggest music festivals the world has to offer.
LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS aka THE WARNING!

Pau (the drummer) sings when she exercises including when she runs. She does it for conditioning and practicing her voice control. As others say in comments, she had been doing this for as long as she has been playing drums. People who don't perform live may not understand the amount of mental coordination required to sing while playing an instrument and I believe playing drums while singing is by far the most exhausting. Pau makes it look easy, but there is a good reason she isn't the lead singer on every song. Most of the time Pau and Dany (guitarist) trade vocals, as in this song, or Pau backs up Dany. She does sing lead on several songs, though, usually ballads. She had a raspy, soulful, emotional voice that can bring you to tears. Ale (bassist) sings low or high harmonies, as the song requires. She has a wonderful voice but her vocal range is not as wide as Dany's and she doesn't enjoy singing the lead parts. Again, it is a challenge that people who have never attempted it may not understand. Playing bass and singing lead is a skill you must learn because in most cases you are playing completely different notes or at least playing the notes in a lower octave (bass clef) while singing in the treble clef. BTW they are bilingual and easily transition between Spanish, their primary language, and English. They also know a smattering of French, though I believe Pau may be the only one who can carry on a conversation in the language.

Thank you, Michael, for your reaction. Sorry to comment so late, that's why, before writing this comment, I read the ones that were already posted so as not to be repetitive and try to contribute something additional.
This presentation at the "Teatro Metropolitan de la CDMX" (both dates) was the first time they had a light show specially designed for each of their songs. They were able to do it in the capital of our country (I'm also Mexican), but they still can't do it in other places.
They're still a relatively small band, so during the tour they're doing right now across the US, except for festivals, they mostly play to auditoriums of 600 to 1,000 people using the lighting fixtures in the venue, because they still can't afford a custom light show in each venue, nor do they risk performing in much larger venues because they consider that few people even know their music.
This isn't all bad, because it allows the audience to come into closer contact with the band and get to know their capabilities without being influenced by the glare of some pretty lights.

Ah yes ... exactly! I was searching quiete for a long time what makes "The Warning" so special ... and than I heard your comment about the attention of the musicians! Perhaps that's the missing link I was looking for but too blind to see. There are many bands where you can refer to the singer, the guitarist, the what-so-ever! But there are not so many bands you tend to look for because of them all!
I used to do this for Nightwish, the new combination of Beyond The Black (they were missing this in the past), of course Metallica, Muse and ... never saw it like this ... The Warning. Of course everyone of them is great in it's own way (Pau is a drumming beast, Ale got that bassist-vibe and Dany is the crazy guitarist). But they are that exceptionally good when they are all playing together. When the various instruments work together, the voice-harmonies etc ... They are a band. And that's exactly what makes them stand-out from so many others. You are going to their concert (or listen to their CD) to see them all! You are expecting the full 3-sister-experience and you'll get it. Currently there are not so many bands worldwide who are going to deliver a full-band-experience (sisters or brothers is difficult in many ways - currently there is only them and Liliac - afaik ... but it is not THAT important in my eyes - it's funny but not needed to get a functional band) ...
So many are calling The Warning The Future of rock. I don't see the future for rock so dramatically bad that you have to concentrate it all on three girls. There are and there will be enough bands, singers what-so-ever around to transport rock, metal - whatever ahead. But the fans from The Warning are very right when they say, that they do have a very bright future ahead of them. My only (little) fear is that it will become to much for them. They are musical diamonds that everyone wants to see shining. Right at the moment music is everything for them. But there will be times ahead when they need also some time for themselves.

Really cool reaction video, Michael. Thanks! It's very impressive to me that they sing and speak in English, flawlessly. I was watching a video of a live interview that they did, today, with KUPD radio, in Phoenix, Arizona, where they are playing at U-fest 2023. They were their amazingly outgoing selves and they were just as professional in the interview as they are, up on stage. These young ladies were born to rock and it's incredible to witness. Their live performances are powerful. Lzzy Hale said that she'd never seen a band that viciously attacks the crowd with their music, like The Warning does (paraphrasing). In fact, Lzzy was so impressed that she gifted the lead guitarist, Dany, a custom Gibson Explorer guitar, later saying that Dany truly inspired her, as a musician. The rabbit hole is enormously deep, with this band and we're all willing to jump in over and over again. As a suggestion, ANY of the videos from this Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert will be incredible. They were professionally filmed and use the sound through the sound system, rather than relying on the ambient sound of the speakers, with the crowd noise and all. I highly recommend the entire 'Error' album and the 'Mayday' EP, which are 2020+ releases to see a lot of what they're touring with, now. After getting to know the band, you might want to check out some of their other songs, which are equally impressive. Thanks again! I can't wait for more. (Subbed)..

    Great reaction, Mike.
You are doing a great job with your reactions, hence all the interaction with the comments.
Pau learns to sing her parts whilst drumming by singing when she goes jogging. She has always sung whilst drumming as her drum teacher encouraged her to do so. Her teacher said it would give her better timing.
These 3 sisters are amazing and really looking forward to the private The Warning show on May 29th in London.
I last saw them in Texas last year and all 3 shows were amazing. What's next Mike? Choke, Animosity, martirio, Money? All from the same live show or Evolve, Dull Knives and another Pau, the drummer lead Dust to Dust is amazing. Cheers Mike. 🤟

Michael, I enjoyed your reaction. I discovered The Warning via CZcams a couple years ago and am so glad I did. Let me assure you that, the more you get into their catalog, the more impressed you'll be. I highly recommend their song "Choke." I'll be seeing them in concert in a few weeks in Charlotte, NC. I predict that, sooner than you think, you'll be looking for a concert near you. Cheers!

I became a fan last December, things haven't been the same since then...and finally I got to see live them 2 days ago In San Fco, and I can tell you that all the things you are gonna hear from TWA about them are true, the only way to experience TW is live, all the videos going around even the Pro Shot don't make them justice.😀🤘

this venue holds between 3000-3500 depending where you look. They booked one show and it sold out in less then 4 hours. They then booked a 2nd show on a Monday night and hired a pro team to record it. They have released 5 or 6 videos from this show so far and they all or awsome.

Don't worry about being impressed with how well they speak Spainish. Given how well they sing in English (& speak English if you ever catch an interview with them) it's understandable. The gig was professionally shot at a gig at the Teatro Metropolitian which is a 3,100 capacity venue in Mexico, so it was the band rocking out to an audience of their fans in their home country.

I watched this video enough time to notice that both Dany and Pau steal looks towards their right, showing how much Ale, the bass player, controls the flow of the song. I think she is underappreciated.

and yes Pau ("pow", the drummer) sings lead sometimes and does it while playing those incredible drum parts which are complex and through fills etc. Ale (AH-lay) is the bassist (Alejandra, I can't say it how she does with rolled Rs and stuff), and Dany (Daniella) is guitarist.

Their best show yet. The lightning the acoustic, and their talent showcased here, and they already started their world tour which include shows with Muse and other bands and some of it their head lightning shows in Europe. They are not the saviors of rock, they are pure rock, which their age like, defining gravity.

Paulina, the drummer (nickname "Pow") practices singing when she is running to enhance her control. Oh, and English is their 2nd language. Pretty good, huh?!
I haven't enjoyed listening to a band play live since the 70s. These ladies are amazing.

This song is more typical of what The Warning delivers. The 'Enter Sandman' cover was mellower since they were incorporating Alessia Cara, a pop singer. Try 'Evolve' and 'Animosity' (both from Teatro Metropolitan) for some more of their new stuff.

Although like others have said they are Mexican, so Spanish is their native language, I can say from experience that when they came to Montreal, Daniela & Paulina did speak a few phrases in French to rally crowd participation, so they do make a real effort.

I guess you pretty much got an education from the rest of the Warning Army in the comments, so I'll just chime in with.. check out all their pro-shot performances from this 2 day extravaganza from Teatro Metropolitan. There will be more added as time goes on.. (there's currently 6 to choose from). Whatever you decide to react to, you can't go wrong, as they don't write any bad ones, just some are better than others depending on your taste in rock. They are definitely addictive if you like the rock icons of the 70's 80's and 90's. They get their influences from these and put their own unique twist on them, and with some very catchy lyrics, they pull you right into their world! Hope you have a nice journey down the rabbit hole.. I'm pushing 67 years old, and this is the best new rock band I've heard in decades!! (New subscriber here, btw).😄 🤘😎🤘
