😆🤡 there are thousands of criminal trials that often feature a witness that has been arrested and or convicted for conduct. Cohen lied for Trump. He did his time, the jury will have to look at the evidence presented more than words. Cohen is telling the truth, as his story hasn't changed. Cohen has been Trump's best witness so far.
Best at putting the nail in the coffin. The paper trail is enough to convict Trump. There was no retainer, which is a legal document showing attorney-client representation. Since Trump signed the invoices, claiming that such payments were for a retainer, and none exists, that's falsified business records and financial transaction. Both illegal. Trump has no defense against the paper trail. They'll try to introduce a "retainer" into evidence, but none exists, unless Trump created it after the fact.

None of this matters. This is a misdemeanor Falsifying Business Records case and why no other prosecutor has bothered with it for so many years. The only way it can be elevated to a criminal charge of First Degree is if they can prove it was done to cover up some other crime. There is no other crime and therefore it is merely a misdemeanor with a fine as a penalty.

The defense will try to discredit, but it'll look like a cheap shot attorney who will fail miserably. Trump said in his own book, his own words, that he reads every contract, reads every invoice and reads the checks before he signs them. He knew what he was signing and why he was signing them.
