Zerg versus Terran // How to defend the BattleCruiser Hellion Opening

One question that came up very often on my stream recently was "how do i deal with the battlecruiser opening", the answer is quite simply: spores and queens ! : )
I will explain that in a little more detail in the Video itself.

I'd love to see an in-depth video on queen energy decision making and queen production in the early game, when to tumor vs inject with various builds, how you adjust for ovie speed builds vs non-ovie speed, when to connect creep in ZvZ, how you make those decisions when things go south and queens die. There's all kinds of more simple videos you could make but there's a lot of general SC2 streamers that cover the simple stuff, but you're without a doubt the best content creator for high level zerg play. I wanna see some deeper analysis of zerg fundamentals :) Love the videos so far mate, cheers.

Thanks for the video lambo! I have a question for the first game which is when should you take more gas?? You said to stick with 1 gas until you get 8 queens? Also when should you drone up?

U drone up constantly besides making the 12-14 Lings to prevent hellion runbies and then around 5-6 roaches versus the potential hellbat attack. I think i talked about it during the first game with overlord speed i get my 2nd and 3rd gas around 5 minutes vs BC openers and without overlord speed around 4:40. The other gases are all taken at the same time when my mineral lines are saturated.

I often see terrans yamato my spire and infestation pit to deny obvious counter. How should i respond then? Make even more defensive queens and couter attack?

Just rebuild Spire/infestatio pit if it dies to yamato. Yamato has a long cooldown and both of the buildings should be done before your opponent has more than 2 BCs, which means the 1-2 BCs cannot simply kill it by shooting at it, especially since there should always be queens around. You do not need to do anything funky if your tech is delayed a couple of seconds-half a minute, just stick to the plan. U also dont need extra queens especially since they do not use some of their early yamatos on queens.

Make sure to not put your spire in an obvious location either. It will force terran player to scout or scan. Maybe even build 2 spires in different locations and when they kill one they might think they got you. And don't put it behind mineral line because BC will hide by map edge and shoot it, put it more inland so you can fight the BC's with queens.

ThePeacemaker848 if you have enough time for that! But you know it’s hard to deal with a 550hp 3armor teleporting bc (to any blind spot) to your base at the 3rd minutes. May I see your video against Terran when they wipe you few time with the same tactic? That would be great and can change my mind.. let’s see bro

There is no Defence, you just lose the game. If you let the Terran build 18 BC‘s without knowing that, you did so much wrong there is no way to turn the table.
