So this build work against most terran players as well. You might want to add one roach over a couple pair of lings, but it works either way. I think I will finally make masters with this build as long as I never use it against zerg. 😆 Thanks, Lambo! You rock, bro!!! ❤❤❤

As a previous zerg player who (for better or worse) stopped playing SC2 mid-WoL, I can't understate how to-the-point and informative this build guide is. Including optimizations, alterations depending on the game and the general purpose/goal of the build is not only super insightful, but delivered in an easy-to-consume format: 10/10! If i were an active player - this is exactly the kind of content that i would click on every single upload. I've recently discovered you through binging some of Harstem's super-casual content where you guest appear in his 'game-show' type content, and recently the Harambo channel. For all of Harstem's casual content, i personally found you have the best (possibly tied with reynor) banter. I find you incredibly entertaining, and am looking to consume more of your content of this type. However, from the several video playlists that i found on your main channel (including the entertainment playlist) tend to be of the analytical/informative type content - which again, is fantastic that i think you should continue. I'm just wondering if you happen to have a casual/jokey type of playlist / channel (that i may have overlooked) which can subscribe to for the content that i'm looking for. Tl;DR - casual viewer, loves your content on other channels - do you upload this kind of content yourself?
Been doing this build with 17, 17, 17 and had so much success. I also built the hatch near the toss just to have the roaches there faster which works great as well.

One thing I like doing if I'm against a better opponent is to cheese off of gas pool first while making it look like a "bad reaction". I'll send a drone to the natural to "expand" & then they'll "block" me, however I'm just going gas pool in my main. Upon being blocked I will send my drone from the natural to go take a 3rd. If the Probe stays there, sure I will take the 3rd as my natural later, however if it goes to scout into my main & they see the gas pool I can then bring that drone back & take my natural at the proper location. My higher mmr opponent will think that my noob reaction to getting my Hatch blocked is to then go Pool first. I'll sell it more, by taking 2 drones off gas when I start ling speed, if the Probe is looking (though I may need to make 1 Roach less than usual if the Probe sticks around awhile in order to still have the gas for the Ravager on time if I do this). As the ling comes out I may even send a drone to "take a 3rd" & it sells it even more that I just have a bad reaction to hatch block & just respond by going Pool first & then going ling speed, off gas, 3 base macro. After lings clean up the Probe I'll scout with the 2 lings even though idc what I see, I just want to show my opponent I'm willing to give up units to scout because I'm "macroing" & want to get some information with my Pool first, first set of lings. Then they use the Adept to deny the scout instead of using the Adept to scout & they die pretty easily even if I'm 600 mmr below them.
Thank you so much for this build! I could not beat protoss to save my life, and now I have over an 80% win rate. It's super easy. Super fun. And even if they defend perfectly I still cause so much damage that they can't recover. Mass shield battery can be a bummer response though.
Thank you. As Protoss it's indeed hard to stop without scout. My build sends hallucination to scout in engage path but it's too late, it's around 3;30 and at this time you are already on wall. I would put cybercore to block passage but in that case your unit in passage must be in front to not block building. Well if zerg don't play macro it's smart to put battery faster, this attack would have problem against superbattery, unit in passage unkillable and that would give Protoss 14 seconds.
I'm familiar with a similar build (from like 2016-2017), that hits slightly later (its queen then RW, and goes up to 19 drones). The build I'm familiar with still farms MMR at the high Diamond low Master level, though players do defend it sometimes and its not that rare these days while it just farmed MMR back a few years ago.. Your build seem to be more optimized, and hit a bit earlier, which is sometimes all the difference between a hold for the toss or farming the MMR, so I will definitely try this version you suggested to see how well does it do. Spirit's response was similar to what I sometimes can't break, but the earlier hit timing can be all the difference it takes to break such a defense.
This build wrecks. Most satisfying when you flood a T building a BC rush. This thing went like 20-0 in plat 3, looking forward to growing that to 40-0 tomorrow

Zuka made a guide "StarCraft 2 - PvZ - How To Defend a ROACH RAVAGER ALL-IN! (Guide)". I don't know, if it's exactly this build, he plays against, but something very similar. It's like the other side of the story - Very interesting.
You can try to stop at 44 supply and make drones after, but realistically this is a full on all in and not a macro build. There are no real "pressure builds" against toss besides making extra lings, usually if you want to attack protoss you need to commit to certain all ins.

This build is going pretty well for me (D3) but could you make it clearer when to make the queen in the Buildorder Notes? I get that (if it chills in the main you can start the queen before the roachwarren) infers I should be making it after the roach warren, but when playing my small brain keeps forgetting to make a queen because it doesn't see: 18 Queen
Hey Lambo, unrelated to this vid but commenting here bc I hope you’ll see it: in a previous comment you said your mouse dpi is ~400. I guess I find that kind of crazy because mine is usually set at ~2000dpi. I’ve been having a hard time finding info on this, but for 500dpi on my setup I have to really swing my arm around and have a hard time making rapid motions and micro. Just asking to see if we’re talking about the same dpi- recently I’ve been creeping mine down to increase accuracy (I think I have it at 1600dpi now) but am interested to see if it’s normal for pro players to play with such low sensitivity. yeah we're talking about the same dpi.(Dpi without using ingame mouse accuracy and middle setting in windows.) I think the average dpi for pros is somewhere around 700-800 dpi :D
Heyo, plat1 here. I love your 5 roach pressure zvt video. The ideas in the zvt and this zvp videos are very similar: 1-2 pairs of lings, then 4 roaches and a ravager. But the build order is very different. Why? It’s like two different paths to get 4 roaches and a ravager. I suppose the zvt version is more of a pressure with macro, while this zvp is all in? Idk.
Ok I think I get it. 16 pool before gas with terran so you can get there quick with slow lings to block the CC. 17 gas pool with toss because you want speed lings to flood after the roach/ravager

Would be interesting to know how this build order goes against other races. In general, interesting to know why this is specific to ZvP. I'm gold, so I feel like build orders are always ZvX.
Well in ZvZ making Roach ling early on loses to just Zerglings and that makes the build pretty bad. Against Terran you can play this aswell actually, but usually buildorders are designed specifically for 1 matchup because every race has very different defensive mechanics and unit counters.
Habs auch ein paar Mal gegen Terran nun probiert und scheiter immer daran, dass sie einen BC rausbkeommen und dann noch irgendwie turnen. Die BCs kann man ja um die Spores manövrieren bzw. lassen sich davon leider nicht groß stören. Scheint echt Meta zu sein. Gibt es gegen diese BC Meta eigentlich einen allgemein guten Opener ? Direkt Corrupter oder was macht man da ? Zumindestens in Diamond kann ich sagen, dass gefühlt 90 % aller Terran Fast BC spielen.
A cool trick for high level players is to pull 3 workers from main to natural, even if the probe doesn't scout the roach warren, seeing no pull of gas is a huge tell for the protoss.
Usually not necessary cause the lings spawn well before your natural is done, and usually with gas pool hatch you do mine gas even after the first 100 with a macro opener, since you'd be oversaturated otherwise! You can pull one drone out of gas after you mined 100 though if the probe sticks around to see it
@@LamboSC2 I mean when the second base finishes, the late probe rescout will see there's zero drones being transferred. drones build faster than roaches, and drones usually get pulled out of gas at that point. 2 ling's aren't enough to deny the probe seeing a lack of drone transfer.
@@dylansevitt sure if you see the probe moving back through the 2 lings i think its a good move to do. It's just a bit too expensive if you wann do it everygame, but its a great move for that scenario!

Playing it non stop for a few hours now against toss on ladder and I'm 7-0 with it in Masters 1 (where 5 of the games were cannon rushes...)

In Platinum I play 12 Pool, 11 Gas, 10 Drone, 11 Drone, 12 Drone, 13 Overlord, 13-14-15-16 Lings, 16 Speed. Pretty successful.

What's the tighter build with 1 extra pair of lings earlier on Lambo?
I did 35 overlord and then exteactor trick out the ravager, but i recommend just copying the build like I said in the Video :)

If the tosses tend to overreact, just play macro after 1717 and you'll be far ahead!
