if you ever want to try more create, i HIGHLY recommend playing the newer updates - it is incredibly fun to go around with steam engines and trains, and it could make more challenge playthroughs like this very interesting!
only problem is if you dont have the wiki at all times your brain will melt

@@fordalelsmy brain still melts i don’t know why but I struggle immensely with power I have no problem making builds but making a power source for them makes me quit the game
@@watchdog4454 i highly reccomend watching tutorials on that stuff, personally i love the ones made by DejojoTheAwsome but there are others that are useful
with power routing, gearboxes and chain drives are your best friend - and belts work too!
@@watchdog4454 Just make a sheep farm. You can use max windmills pretty cheaply and it's a fraction of the cost of any steam engine, while having great SU. Here's a tip: Use wool. Not windmill sails. It works the same and is lots cheaper.

Just a little tip: You can put a recipe filter on the mechanical saw so it's not randomized

@@TheCaptainsTV Mechanical Crafters have two On states. A full grid. Or a button press on the side. Cause restone activation. Can act as auto-crafters if you have things assembled properly. (Like feeding in nuggets)

You know what would be an interesting idea for this flooded world that I just thought about? a 100 days within the same flooded world but all the structures and things that had been built are all in ruins with a lot of spooky or crazy water creatures? Idk I just thought the idea was pretty neat
just a tip for the future: you can choose which type of block saw will make by setting it as a filter ,in this small slot on the side.

40:13 You guys should check the Create "ponder" function from time to time... the mechanical crafters can be forced to use an incomplete framework ("i'b making a pickaxe in a 3x3 grid), by giving a redstone puse. Put a damm button next to it and push to signal "recipe complete, start crafting".
if you wonder what's the mod that changes water, is called "water physics overhaul" is on curseforge for 1.16.5 and is used in combination with "water erosion" also for 1.16.5 (be aware that those mods are really intensive, you need a beefy pc).
edit: there is also another mod called flood that apparently increases water level while it rains. it can be configured to create massive ones too

@@derekhenninger4293I expect, as most of the water was coming off the mountains, it was probably a datapack or some commands that spawned water up there. Also likely to be barrier blocks outside render distance to limit the area the water could flow.

@@TyphoonBeam i also think it was done via commamds tbh, will experiment with those mods a bit more tomorrow if i manage to run them, water physics overhaul shreds my fps, but is likely due to my laptop having a dual core i7

you know what you could've done captain? you could've tried to build a small dam and reservoir for collecting water after the floods and using them for water wheels

the bailing thing gave me an idea, next 100 days, you should be a pirate with a ship, your goal being to make the ship from a raft, to a full blown pirate vessel, maybe add a farm in it, do whatever, but the rules being A: keep your ship from sinking, and B: make All the food items from Pam's Harvest Craft. doesn't have to be on hardcore cause that'd be too much

@@WelcometothewildI've found that shaders don't work without optifine and certain mode in the pack don't work with optifine.
Also some of the mods aren't available on curseforge/make my game lag loads.

if you right click the type of block you want the sawmill to make into the yellow dash box it will only make that, otherwise it is random

This is extremely well done. I love this. You can also make trains with Create, but I could be wrong. Heh, maybe an idea is 100 days, using Create to try to create the best railroad empire or something, but there is something you may have to deal with, like perhaps a lack of water or smth like that. You can choose what disaster can happen in those 100 days. But, this is just a small idea that could help you learn more about Create.

Valkyrien skies would of made this video even cooler than it already is, being able to make ships, submarines and flying machines however you want(Like how create does trains, you build them literally however you want and using specific blocks you make them actually work), would of made this already amazing video 100% better.
I highly recommend you using the mod in your next video, but it does having a steep learning curve sadly. And if you ever want to make any vehicle, like cars and stuff, I recommend getting the mod Clockwork which is an add on that adds the ability to make land vehicles, and get their computer craft extensions too if you are willing to code custom commands for your vehicles.

You need to do the airships mod and use the realistic water so you can build yourself a raft or boat or something similar so you could start to float it up and it's compatible with most mods

Honestly you don’t need to much of one, especially if you use fabric and instal sodium iris and lithium and then whatever shaded you want, i doubt you’ll be able to get the physics mod to work though because it is a forge mod rather than fabric, hope this helps :)

Rotten flesh is actually pretty good if all you need to do is regenerate some health, mostly since it's in large supply compared to anything else you'll have at the beginning, then you can finish off the meal with actual good food to top off your hunger.

@TheCaptainsTV As someone who plays create quite often, the reason you weren't getting the limestone you wanted is because you need to have a block of the one you want from a vanilla stone cutter then put it in the create stone cutters filter slot. Also the block moves against the spin of the blade so if the blade is spinning towards you the block will move away from you.
Yup, thanks for letting me know. I did figure it out and used chisel but I like the dolomite better in the end. As for the sawmill direction I found that out the hard way too....still doesn't really make sense to me but at least I get it
@TheCaptainsTV The filter slot on the saw works for any item that has multiple output options, so you would only need to chisel once, then filter the saw and boom only one item instead of random or just one you dont want. I am glad you are starting to get the hang of create, it takes a bit of experimenting with to figure certain things out, but it's so much fun. Hope to see you do another create based mod adventure in the future
a fact for you and cap. if he reads later JEI allows you to set filters when ya hold em, but ya for thoes onblock filters ya just need the item
