- A family hadn't seen their dog for nearly a month after fleeing the California wildfires, but when they returned to their home, their pet was right there, guarding what was left of their burnt-out house. Madison the dog somehow survived the fire that wiped out the town of Paradise. Owner Andrea Gaylord greeted him with his favorite treat, Wheat Thins. She and her husband had to leave without Madison because he and his brother, Miguel, refused to get in the car. #InsideEdition
“I guess we were missing and he was home” to that poor dog that’s exactly what he thought I’m glad everyone is ok now and there family is back together!
Dog: *You said you only went out for cigarette*
🤣🤣🤣

They dont kno time
He was like you left me like 1 year in dog years
dbro yawner lol
*Waiting there like a good boy.*
Guddd boi
Extremely loyal dog. What does he eat for a month?
Ray Mak they ate the food that their owner left out for them
Do what you gotta do

@@LadySims lmao
They don't deserve that dog. Ain't no way I'm leaving my dogs behind in any situation. The dog is more loyal than the owner.
*Dogs must have been chewing five gum*
Lmaooo XD
What does that mean
@@diegoavila4379 Feel the sensation.
I still don't understand how Gaylord is a common last name
I saw this on Reddit
It must be white. White people have weird names
There is a resort that I know called Gaylord
*gaylord* lmao.
Idk man but it sure is a common first name. Haven't you heard of Gaylord Focker? 😛
I'm sure that those dogs watched bear grylls surviving series
If I had to leave my dogs behind, I’d die for them. They mean so much to me. I’d give my life for them in a heart beat.
That's just stupid
Yea me too I’d die with my best pal rather abandon them. However I’m too emotional so I can’t get a dog I won’t be able to handle its passing
You need therapy if that's true.
@@aydinsha honestly
@@hefireymilhim6151 i would die with them so there not alone in their final moments

You can't throw a dog in the car when you're disabled and running for your life. People DIED in their cars trying to get out because the fire was so fast. Educate yourself before you judge others.
I would never leaving my dog behind
They didn't have a choice.
y'll evil
Astro Teen ikr i couldnt live with myself if i let a family member die
Same
If they refuse to come to the car its sad but the owners had died if they were there
“I guess we were missing and he was home.”❤️
I could never leave my dog like this!
Agree
I'm glad they found their dog and reunited, happy that neither they or the animal were severely injured ❤
Now this is true loyalty
When all the smoke hit the west coast and all the fires happend in my home state Oregon we made sure that our dog was the first thing in the car if we had to leave no matter the circumstances
Man I would have picked them up and thrown them in the car.
What a good boy. One of the best.
If only Humans could be so faithful.... 🐾🙏
So thankful the dog survived ❤️💜💞💝🧡🖤💓💛💗💚❣️💖💙💕💘
This dog deserves a award 🥇
No he dosent
Not only survived but looked as healthy and happy as could be.
This dog more faithful than people
I was draggin my dog in the car. No way I was leaving my dogs, even if I knew they would survive.
This makes me wonder about those who would leave their pets behind because they refuse to get in the car would they still do the same if they had human kids who refused to get in the car.
Bro he’s old idt he’s lifting struggling 100lb dogs
How can you call them a family.
He doesn’t deserve those dogs.
They made the right decision.. If they had spent more time forcing guard dogs to go inside the vehicle, neither would have survived. Every second counts.
They could have evacuated when the fire depart told them to go
@Witch's Brew Sims so in 6hrs, they couldn't grab the dog?
@@Dmitrokras The dogs refused to go inside the car and they left food and water for them. They may have also been closer to the fire at the time.
@@dominickperez2952 the damn food would've burned and the water evaporated, left food and water just sounds like they in a guilt trip
Dominick Perez they should have EVACUATED BEFORE THE FIRE GOT CLOSE to them
Those old peeps running from the fire but on the other hand dog's running toward the fire they don't deserve those dogs 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We definitely don’t deserve dogs
Aww so loyal And so cute.
I’m glad the dogs were safe.❤,
So heartbreaking 😢
I'm sorry. No way I'd leave without my dogs.
So sad
Ppl who leave there pets behind don't deserve to own them
The dogs were being as stubborn as a mule and wouldnt get in the car. What other choice did they have other than suicide.
They were forced to, stupid.
They don’t deserve these beautiful doggies
I completely understand that it was a life or death situation, but I don't think I could make the decision to leave my pets behind. It would eat me up for the rest of my life if something happened to them.
That made my heart feel warm
So happy it worked out for everyone.
Not for the dogs.
Refused? Mhmm
HOW DARE YOU LEAVE THE GAWD DAMN DOGGOS

Very Heartwarming Story!!!

Como evitan mirar a la cámara, ya que los ojos son el espejo del alma. Perros nobles y leales, no se nerecen unos dueños así
I lived in Paradise several years in the 70s/90s. My sister-in-law was living there when the fire broke out. Her escape was pretty harrowing. It's absolutely certain that her dog, Oreo, saved her life (as well as his own!) That fire traveled so quickly. Oreo's frantic barking woke her. She opened the door to a red sky, grabbed her pup and car keys and beat the fire. She lost everything, including all IDs since she left her purse. It's scary to think how close the fire got without waking her. Sad times.
Now that's a loyal dog!
How did they not come find them earlier???
Way to go Shayla. True hero.
Poor parents.
Sorry absolutely no way I’d leave them behind
THEY LEFT THEM FOR DEAD
People DIED while trying to get to cars and then away from the fire. The woman is disabled and the husband had to help her. The dogs refused to get into the car. Educate yourself before you judge people.
I would never leave my dogs behind ever!
Such a good boy!!!
If you can’t take them and get them into a car during an emergency, then you shouldn’t own them. They don’t deserve to be left behind to die! What if there is an emergency and they need the vet? You just say “well I can’t get them into the car” so you leave them to die too?
I’m so glad they made it because they’re very lucky they didn’t die in the fire because their owners left them!
They had seconds to spare, if it were something else or even if they’d had a bit more time to flee I’m sure they would’ve forced the dogs in the car
A month! A bloody month! We don’t deserve dogs.
... they had time to leave the dogs food and water but no time to carry or drag their innocent floofy asses into the car?!!!
If a dog fights against going somewhere its not easy.
Amazing God Bless
This is so sad...poor animals. Just in case they survived wtf. They shoudve tried harder. Glad they survived
OMG POOR DOG 😭😭😭
Kudos to Andrea Gaylord for leaving the family member (Pet) in burning fire and exit like a frog without taking pet with her... wow! what a good human act! i would never leave my pet. I would strongly suggest to remove pet from their house since they proved that they no longer can take care of pet during critical life threatening situation
Reunited and it feels so good.
We Need More Happy Stories Instead Of All The Negative News These Days. God Bless The Dogs & Their Owners.
Hes the goodest boy
I love those dogs.
I feel sad for all the animals😭
Even if my dogs refuse to get into the car, I'll stuff all of them in there before I drive away with the whole family. I just can't leave them behind.
My babies go with me, period.
What an absolute steward. When we domesticated wolves, we weren't creating pets. We were creating the most noble guardians this world has seen.
Don’t leave your animals
omg!! iam so happy for them!
So loyal
First off who leaves a dog behind in a wildfire? They had time to look for him or get him. I look at my dogs as family just as important as people in my opinion. I can't believe they left that poor dog behind in the fire.
Phillip Mendoza the left then behind because they refused to get in the car
@@rubydawn9680 you force them in the car. That's like leaving a child behind or another human being.
Phillip Mendoza easier said than done moving lab that doesn't want to go while your house is burning down
Patriots Nation 4 Life Tom Brady is GOAT they didn’t leave the food and water one of the animal rescue people did

Dogs...... mans best friend!
For some reason I read *Family came back 50 years later after a fire and found their dog waiting for them to come home *
Poor babies!
My hero
Isn’t this animal cruelty! I mean it’s been over a month, you really couldn’t return before now!
No they probably couldn't. The fire department as well ad the police would not allow any person to enter any place that a wildfire had gone through until all flames in the area had been extinguished and meet safety standards in these circumstances
If you watched the video it said they could not go back to their neighborhood because of hazards
rcg adventure
Judging from your comment, you didn’t even watch the video.
They did leave food for them
It takes a long time before a wild fire has completly gone down, even then once it has in the area it could still be difficult if not purely dangerous to still enter if there is fire or collapsing structures remaining nearby. It seriosuly is far from animal cruelty, people through that word around so loosely now..
Omg this is amazing. I 💘 animals more than people!!!!
Now that’s a good boy
Why did they wait a whole month 😞
If you want to survive, follow your dog!
Awwwww he’s sooo cute
100000/10 certified good boi
That's amazing
I lost my house and town I lived in paradise California i was born there and everything
Inside every doggo lives the spirit of their wild wolf ancestors.
God blessed these GR
That’s heartbreaking how not everyone comes back to their dogs..
They couldn't. People weren't allowed back until a month later, and even then only for a few hours.
To al people who say their bad dog owners hear me out the fire was raging it took a while to even get the fire out. Then they had to fight to get permission to seek out to the town
I feel sad for any dogs that did not survive the fires
This feels like a Fairy Tail reunion!
I find this hard to believe considering 1 was found in a shelter 70 miles away
What GOOD BOYS.
Good dog
Amazing just amazing
Was worried my boy miguel didnt make it for a minute there
