A Boy and his Grandfather are searching for the Boy's two missing dogs, Dexter and Repo after they were separated during the devastating Tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. The scene is the Central Oklahoma Humane Society, one of the last places they can look - as they have not been able to find them yet.

That young man is wise beyond his years. You knew he couldn't wait to see his dogs yet he didn't think twice about holding the door open for whoever was behind him with the camera. Good job mom & dad.

Kids that bond like that with animals are great kids. Those dogs love him. They just want their boy.
I think finding his 2 buddies safe and sound is going to go a long way in this young boy's healing. Life is beautiful.

Was gonna write the same thing. Can't imagine how cats and dogs even begin to process a tragedy like that, or what they all went through. At the very least they deserve to be reunited with their families. This brought home, in a way that nothing else had before, how fundamental it is to chip one's pets. I hope they're all safe, happy and doing well

It's the same sounds I heard when I worked at a large boarding kennel. Why I never go on vacations lol

Those poor ones left behind are the reason I had to quit rescuing from SPCA, but I found lots of dogs to rescue. One of the girls from SPCA used to call me when one came in she knew I would take.
Such a sweet and polite little guy. Even held the door open for the camera guy.

I realize this was 3yrs ago but it was wonderful to see it today 9/22/20. Something positive, loving and kind. I hope this young man sees my comment. I pray regardless of how low society falls he will continue to be a bright light.
He is a very polite young man. It’s very obvious that his parents and grandparents brought him up with respect and manners, therefore he is respectful and well mannered. 💙
You are exactly right. These dogs are lucky and the family is lucky to get them back. Not so lucky to be involved in a tornado.

That Chihuahua just couldn't contain himself. I never seen a dog so freaking happy. Those were barks of joy!!!
I want to say a big thank you to all these people that volunteer to help find missing animals and reunite them with there owners.♥. The little boy got my heart when he saw both of his dogs.
I am so happy to see this reunion. The little dog was so thrilled to see his human he kept barking for joy! His tail wags so swiftly, it’s a wonder he doesn’t have whiplash! The larger dog is so well behaved and clearly happy to be with his family. Congrats to the animal shelter for their precautions and cleanliness.

I know,I couldn't leave without taking the max out. I would love to donate time but if they gave me some keys to kennels I would end up on tv in a micro bus full of dogs,and probably more than that after eluding the dog catcher.

The dogs the cats I want to take them all anyone who steps into a shelter knows the feeling of wanting to save them all it's heartbreaking when you leave

That small dog may have sounded like he was just barking but he was actually telling his whole story from start to finish. 😉

In my opinion you didn’t buy a dog so much as rescue them so don’t think of it as the same as buying really. You got that dog to save it which means something. Adopt don’t shop really just applies to buying dogs from backyard breeders just because they sell the dog you want or something instead of getting one from a shelter that may be killed soon or otherwise, not supporting breeders (that aren’t medical ones of course) is the best way to get rid of them and help the dogs left in shelters. You did a good thing and saved a dog though
A boy and his dog...I am78 but I remember my first dog, Snowball. He was a white Eskimo Spitz . He was killed by a tractor on the farm in 1964. I stood in the yard crying my eyes out. He was a good and loving gog.

It’s great that the shelter provided them with basic dog supplies (including Frontline) as the family had lost so much.

I try to look at it like they are warm, dry, fed, they have water to drink, etc. That’s so much better than being on the side of the road or trying to survive in an abandoned car or something with no food or clean water, freezing in the winter and hot in the summer. But, I do see where you’re coming from! I pray every dog finds a new furever home!
What a mature young man, his family is probably so proud. He knew the doggos needed comfort so he kept his emotions reeled in.

This shelter is making sure they get the right ones. It is easy to think maybe he'll mix them up. But as soon as those dogs see the boy...it's very clear they are soooo happy to be back with their people!
After losing it all, having their animals back was a huge comfort I'm sure. Plus all the pet supplies are just one less thing to worry about as they rebuild.
I’m crying happy tears. When he said…I thought they were dead…I just lost it. So happy they were reunited! Amazing that both dogs were found & kept safe till owners could claim them.

The sound of the other dogs, especially the one howling really reduced me to tears. I wish I could go there and empty out the place and give a loving home to each and every one of them. They especially deserve that now.
