Roger Taylor is the secret weapon in this performance. Everyone knows how great Freddie was, but Taylor and May's vocals were such a huge, yet overlooked, part of their vocal sound. Roger is just KILLING it on this.
Superman should wear a Freddie Mercury shirt!
Yaaasss!!
No he wouldn't. He wears his logo on a blue spandex superman suit. Silly
Haha ..awesome
AGREE...darling..😏
Woop Poopy Scoop what exactly do you mean?
I can never get enough of people hearing this for the first time 👏
I also can’t get enough of Roger Taylor’s voice at the end.
Love your videos by the way!
I'm glad I'm not the only
My 15yr old daughter is absolutely in love with Roger Taylors voice. She loves all of Queen, but has a special thing for Roger.
@@hisbean Because he is Roger Taylor the human guitar
his-bean Not sure if you’re aware of this channel.... czcams.com/users/RockyHorrorLover20
@@hisbean cuz that's impossible not to fall in love with him
One of the beauties of Freddie Mercury is that his voice is as perfect live as it was when recorded. Love this!
Every time I hear this, when Fred says "okay let's do it!" I cry.. I've watched this thousands of times. They're magic live!!!
Your son might also appreciate that Brian May has a PhD in astrophysics and was a science collaborator for NASA - that's pretty impressive! 😃
Hanna Byrne a fact almost as impressive Hanna is he still has all that hair.
@@PatrickKelly-lz3pv hahaha...true! 😂
Brian May wrote the Bohemian Rhapsody guitar solo
He might also appreciate that these 4 guys each wrote at least one #1 hit a piece,
@@vernhoke7730 actually that is not a solo, just a riff.
Big difference.
It isn't just Freddie there are
FOUR guys there! May's a great guitarist and Taylor is a perfect drummer for Queen. When Roger and John get into a rhythm together they are matchless. And Roger is singing, too, whilst drumming. Freddie's a great front man but he's backed by equal talents!
Mag Loyd Brian May is one of the most underrated guitar players ever.
Yes he is!!!!
Gotta love the sonic volcano ( that was roger and Johns nickname because how great they were together as a rhythm section)
Super Nova Yes. And Roger can play guitar... Freddie wrote great songs. So did the others. If we start this game, we'll be here all day. :). My point was that the reviewers were praising Freddie but ignoring the contribution of the others.
Preach
That song is just so damn special.
From the point of lyrics: Find me somebody to love! That is almost unique. Most songs are just somebody should/has to love me.
Freddie was an unbeatable stage presence! Don't care who is better or you like more. He just owned the stage and crowd.
And the whole band itself! The moment you see Roger beating the drums AND sing... priceless. Not only is he a really good drummer... he is a damn good vocalist too.
Your daughter should listen to this too!
Pintsize i agree
Don't forget Brian has a PhD in Astrophysics
You should react to Under Pressure Live at Wembley in 1986 next
I mean you should make it easy for us by just linking it :)
KING SLENDER13 - that whole
Concert is epic.
bettybaby63 Yup that’s basically their stadium.
I was at that concert, was the penultimate live show Queen ever played I believe. They did Knebworth Festival after and that was it.
My 1st reaction to Queen... *"OMFG, I know some of these songs, never knew it's Queen, how tf haven't I known Queen before, wow, I love Queen"*
😂 welcome to the queen family ❤
I saw your boy crack a smile. It's inevitable when watching Freddie perform. He's so passionate about what he does you can't help but smile. Freddie was one in a trillion.
This is Queen firing on all cylinders. Four dudes played that song beautifully.
Good stuff.
Best frontman in rock n roll history and his beautiful voice. My god 1 in a billion voice.
Melissa Curtis *best frontman in history
Melissa Curtis 1 in a bazillion voice!
Best version I think! Queen was my very first concert...this very tour! I was 14 and saw them at The Forum in LA...1982. No concert has ever been as good as that one was!!! I miss Freddie!
My first Queen concert I was 16- and it was in Kalamazoo, MI - my BFF and I would have "run away" and hitchhiked if we had to, but luckily her Mom recognized our determination and chaparoned us - we got to meet the band briefly... everyone was kind and gentlemanly... I've posted more details on another reaction site... I'm talkin' 1976....
@@GinMae - Saw them in Toronto in 1980. The Game Tour.
We are blessed to have gotten to see them! The concert I went to in LA...Michael Jackson was there as an audience member. It was just before Thriller, when he started wearing those royal jackets. He was as in love with and enthralled with Freddie as the rest of us. Saw them walking together and Freddie was so tall and in command...had such a presence...and MJ looked so small next to him...looking up at him like a puppy in love! Just goes to show how much Freddie and Queen ruled at the time and how many performers...even Michael Jackson aspired to be like them!
I saw them at the providence civic center 1978
@@lorie-harleyflinchum4726 - Freddie was only 5'9" so maybe Jackson was short but I thought he was also about 5'8" or 5'9".
I completely missed your reaction. Freddie Mercury has hypnotized me yet again.
Same
Give us more Queen!!! It's very good!!! I love Queen, I love you. It's the best combination!!
I've watched this hundreds of times, can watch another 100❤️. Right now😍😥
Thanks so much, more coming soon.
First saw Queen in ‘75,my uncle took me on Xmas Eve to the Hammersmith Odeon, there I watched the greatest frontman ever supported by 3 fantastic musicians perform songs like Ogre Battle,Brighton Rock,Seven Seas Of Rhye and the always phenomenal Bohemian Rhapsody,I was 13 years old and been a fan ever since 👍🏻
You should definitely do this one for your daughter to. I think this one will be a hit for her
I'm a 31 yr old BLACK female, mostly raised on a hip hop and r&b, but I ADORE Queen and Freddie Mercury! It's just such great music and his performances--wow! Like you can feel the passion! I love everything Queen and Freddie Mercury. My 6 yr old's favorite song is Bohemian Rhapsody LOL! Wish Freddie were still around so I could see him live in concert :-(
Yeah !!!! My favorite Queen song! Freddy was the best ! And Roger Taylor’s background vocals though !! Sounds like an electric guitar lol great video ! ! My 19 hear old niece went to see Bohemian Rhapsody with me and I was thinking “ she’s not going to like this “ lol well she did say she enjoyed it, days later she was constantly texting me asking me about certain songs , then actually came to my house talking about it 🤣 then on her snap chat singing we are the champions . Kids need to know about this music !😊
Ace anthony he certainly was! Love Roger!
Why?
Max A why what ? Lol
OMG best vocalist ever
That was so cool; especially how Dad held his enthusiasm and his son's emotions measurably escaped when Freddie exploded even more at the end.....really neat reactions. Thanks
I watched this to see a teen's reaction during the performance, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Freddie and the band!
Omg Freddie Mercury hes just mesmerising i honestly have never heard anyone who can sing like this. But he was an all rounder thats what makes him so amazing.
Love your channel! I love the back stories! And I am completely obsessed with Queen and in love with Freddie, so these are my favorite reactions.
OMG. I'VE been waiting for this one. thank you 😍
Thanks for each and every reaction. I'm a huge Queen fan (I was at the July 1986 Wembley concert). To the people who criticize you when you stop the video: Pshaw!! You stop the video so you're not trying to talk over it. And your unbridled enthusiasm for the music -- which is contagious, BTW -- is what makes your reactions honest. And since this is a reaction channel rather than a let's watch music videos channel, that's how it should be. Please keep on keepin' on. And it's great that you involve your kids. It expands their music horizons, and makes for a great family activity. You're a good Dad.
I disagree. I think the commentary can be saved for the end. It really kills the moment when pausing. You can’t feel the passion as much.
@@annoyingme7743 : It may halt the moment in the music briefly, but it creates the moment in the reaction. That is critical for a reaction channel. You can't feel as much of the passion in the music when it stops and starts, but the spontaneity in the passion of the reactor is greatly enhanced when everything is not saved until the end. That's also why it's so great that the music Glitch is reacting to is readily available on CZcams for those who want to view a music video without interruption.
But can we talk about you being actually there at the Wembley’86 concert?! On what date, the 11th/12th? Cuz i think the 12th was the best! (sadly i could only watched it on YT 😞) how was it for real?
@@rock_it9533 I had just wrapped up a contract on a pantomime (Jack and The Beanstalk) that toured England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. I was there on the 12th with some of my cast mates. Our seats were at the far end of the stadium from the stage, slightly to the left, in the second-to-last row of seats under the roof. But being surrounded by about 72k other Queen fans was electric. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. As I wrote in a post for a Live Aid/Queen reaction video, I felt that Freddie grabbed hold of part of my soul when he walked on stage, and only released it a couple of hours after the concert had ended.
Brian Graham Wow! So it’s true what they said that Freddie Mercury effect could even reach out to the people on the back of the very end row! and the details of your seat just shows how truly unforgettable it was for you!
I can only say congrats cuz you’re one of the luckiest person to ever experience the original QUEEN 👑 live....
I had the pleasure of seeing Queen twice, while Freddy was alive, both times at Madison Square Garden. The first time was a few months before this was filmed, during the opeing leg of the US tour for the Game album September 1980 and again in July of 1982 for the Hot Space tour, Billy Squier opened for them. Now that's someone you should have your kids react to, Lonely is the Night, My Kinda Lover, The Stroke, Too Daze Gone, In the Dark all rock classics. Oh and my daughter, who was 14 or 15 at the time, used to head bang to Bohemian Rhapsody in the car when it came on, ala "Wayne's World".
PLEASE DO MORE QUEEN, WE ALL LOVE QUEEN, plus I love your face during the song, I pull the same face, I love them so much
I'm 74 and loved the 60's-- Queen, Led Zep, Stones and the Beatles-my kids were 7 and 10---it was passed on to my grandchildren-they were brought up with that music--and we all still love it and rock out with it!!!!!!
Absolutely loved the reaction and this song! Thank you! Change it up and do Queen "Love of My Life and Is This the World that We Created live at Wembley"
LOVE this performance!! Have watched it MANY times so I was enjoying watching you watching it!! The smile on your face says it all!! IMO no one can beat Queen live! Might be be fun to see your son's reaction to Roger Taylor's I'm In Love With My Car...short but so sweet!!!
I can't help but get emotional and excited every time I hear this song! Freddie Mercury is one of a kind. Love, love, love this song
Wimbly live in 86 ! The entire concert was extremely fabulous over the top fantastic!!!!! Love and miss Freddie so much! Love Queen!! Thanks for doing these videos! My 5 year old grand daughter knows who Freddie is and claps along with Radio Ga Ga! Long live Queen!
Love the way you love his voice and music, I think I have exactly the same face whenever I watch his videos.
Thanks for sharing real music 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Good video as always! I love Queen so much! I think you should make more videos about Queen. You're not gonna run out of songs with them! I'm already waiting for your next video!
Thank you for doing my recommendation and that u enjoyed it. There was noone else like him.
Thank you!! This is one of my best live performances by Queen!! It’s one of the greatest of all time and sets the bar with live aid.
I have to say watching you enjoy the song and the video showing the emotions people feel when FREDDIE performs... I feel it too!!
React to Killer queen + I'm in love with my car live Montreal, it's amazing
The transition between i'm in love with my car and killer Queen is amazing
This has to be one of the best live versions of a song out there. I saw these guys in concert in '82 and they were awesome. I have been to so many concerts it seems like I have taken that for granted. With all the bands slowly going away it's sucks getting old. To all the young people out there, there was a cool guy that once said "Live now make now the most precious time, now will never come again" That has to be my favorite quote. Great review.
Seeing them perform it live At Madison Square Garden in 1977 brings back a lot of great memories. Greatest front man . Period.
Lucky you got to see them. That was 28 years before I was born. Wish I was there. How was the concert cause I'm going to a Queen+Adam Lambert concert next year in February 15th.
Ok. Let's do it...
React to "In The Lap Of The Gods" and "I'm In Love With My Car"... please.
Do under pressure Queen live Wembley Stadium 1986
I have a Top 10 list of concerts that I wish I had gone to. Two of them are Queen, Live Aid and Montreal '81. Out of all the great concerts and singers, they top my personal list.
I am so thankful that I got to see this tour in 1980, I was only 15 years old when I got to sing along with Freddie that wonderful night, it was so amazing, don't know how many attended that night, but every person sang along to every song that they performed, I will never forget that night, seen many great bands back then, but no one topped them live!!!!!!
I just love your reactions!!! I also saw the live aid reaction. Especially with your son. It's great young people have access to real great music. Keep it up!!! 😘
I'm 17 myself and it's great to see parents showing and sharing their love of a certain band or singer with their child. My parents have always played music they've grown up listening to (whether it be classic rock, country, rap, or whatever) and I'm so thankful they did that since I know I can love and cherish music like Queen and just remember so many great memories with my family when listening to certain songs. This is by far my favorite song and live performance of Somebody To Love. Great video! Props to you for being an awesome parent.
The joy on your (Dad's) face is priceless!!!
I get the Dad's excitement ( Me after I truly discovered Queen and Freddie through Bohemian Rhapsody) I so love Freddie so much now. And I kind of passed My Love for Freddie's voice to my teen, she gives me a hard time pretending not to be impressed but I find her listening to Queen and Singing so I think she's a secret Fan !!
What charisma. One of my all time favorite Queen songs. I can't watch videos anymore, only live. Check out "Liar"...
There was a comment about that shirt. They said that Superman was somewhere, wearing a Freddie Mercury shirt. The person who said that owns the internet 🤩
Aw this is the best performance among the others , I just can't sleep without watching this 5 times a day. What a great passion and energy comes from Freddie's voice. Loved the reaction, keep it going !)
This is my favorite thing about YT is reacting to people reacting to my favorite things. I can't get enough of the giddy feeling of watching someone experience bands like Queen for the first time.
This whole show is amazing. Freddie was ON FIRE
Freddie Mercury OMG I get chills everytime I watch the video. What an incredible legend. Queen the whole band just absolutely amazing. RIP Freddie Mercury you are so dearly missed.
❤❤❤❤
This performance sold me on Roger Taylor. His voice is amazing
Roger's higher register blends so well with Freddie...and to sing while playing drums is a real talent. Also, Roger's backing vocals on "One Vision" are great.
I believe he's the one who hits the high note in Bohemian Rhapsody
Awesome! I'm glad he's loving it so far! If he loves this and live aid, I hope you show him concert bits from the Odeon and the rainbow.
More to come on Queen, I am nailing down what's next soon. Thanks so much.
He was THE BEST front man of all time!
Bro, I have been watching lots of you videos, and I F.... love them, thank you, for guys like you, future generations, will be fine! this is for eternity, Cheers from México Bro!
I’m so jealous of my dad. His first ever concert was Queen on the A Night at the Opera Tour at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre during his senior year of high school. And he hadn’t even originally planned to go! A friend of his called him at the last minute and said “Hey, I’ve got an extra ticket to the Queen concert. You wanna go?”
Freddy Mercury was a amazing talent
Hi, Queen is just phenomenal they are so different from other groups Freddie's voice is memorizing, the best of the best, this is my favorite song I just love it. Thank you for playing it and your reaction!❗💜
Love Freddie live.....anytime!!!!!!!!!!!
La mejor presentación de somebody to love que hizo Freddie!! Sus lágrimas al cantar! Sublime!!!💚
Love y’all reactions!!!! Freddie 💙
He was not ready to ear such a powerfull voice 😂
I've got a couple of sons around his age and I've loved their reactions to Queen. Queen are timeless, it doesn't matter what someone is into, if you watch them or hear them you can't help but be impressed by their sound and talent. This is truly a defining video of them though, Freddie is just awe inspiring and the rest of the band show us that they are just as talented.
Great vid.
Great reaction thanks! No auto tune, no tracks just pure talent, the energy they give is outstanding. Roger's back up vocal while keeping the beat is just amazing. Please do some 70's songs like White queen live at the Odeon,Hammersmith, You take my breath away live at Hyde park and then the studio version, the prophet's song studio version...for beginning, there are so many more to enjoy.
And I do like your energy, it shows you like them, don't change a thing. I like the superman t shirt. Someone wrote Superman should wear a Freddie's t shirt.
I enjoyed it thank you so much if these kids only knew what they are missing so much kickass music out there I'm a big Zeppelin fan😎
He really should do since ive been loving you absolutely love that song
O my God, i never noticed how easy its for him to go right into this heady A7 7:42 Its a huge note. He was in a really shape that night
that's not an A7 xd
that's an eb5 lol
Roger's at the end is a d6 and peaks at an f#6 tho
@@daminidey 🤔 ahw. Pardon. Lol. That's a lot easier ahahaha, but great, still!
@@daminidey yeah, crazy range, man! I can hit some of those notes, sometime, when i practice vocalizing. But in my reprtoire, with actual songs i cant do that, still 🙄
That’s beautiful... father and son!!! 🥰
Love yours videos, and .... LOVE FREDDIE and QUEEN !!! 💔💔💔💔
Hot damn! Loved watching you with your son. I'm 73 and Queen still does it for me. I've seen the movie 3 times so far! Queen rocks!
Loving your reaction videos! I've grown up listening to Queen and still love their music just as much today! You should react to some of the live performances they did at Wembley in 86
Loved ur & ur sons reactions 2 this. Queen was so 😎cool!!!👍
Love the Iceland silhouette in the back!! I am very curious about your connection to this amazing place! I use to live there. 💙🎶💙
So glad you appreciate the master of an amazing voice.
I just subbed! You have such a great style and relationship with your kids! Love this and Queen!
... Really Enjoyed Your Reaction To This...My All Time Favourite Performance From Anyone EVER..."Queen" Are Phenomenal Collectively Together...But "Freddie Mercury" Is My Supreme Favourite Performer/Singer/Showman...The Bestest In Everything Musical Of This Century In My Opinion!!!... Gone Far Too Soon But NEVER Forgotten 😥 He Is The Ultimate Legend Of Legends!! In A World Fallen On Such Scary/Uncertain Times THANK-YOU For Bringing A Lil Smile To My Face With This... Respect Rach UK x
Brilliant reaction! & wow that note Freddie holds at around 7.42-ish is amazing. He certainly could belt those notes out. 👑👏😔
This is probably my favorite Queen songs, to be honest.
Just the passion, the power, the technical ability in this song. Second to none.
“Love Of My Life” is also a favorite of mine:
Hey guys! Great video first of all!🤘🏻
and you know what I think makes Queen so special is the fact that they harmonize so well together! And I’m not only talking about their voices harmonizing but also about them as persons!♥️
Freddie for example never considered himself as „the leader of the band“. He always explained that he’s just the lead singer but that they are four equal people and that everyone is just as important for the band than the other. I think it’s a very rare thing to hear from a rockstar/band nowadays but also from one back then!
The talent of the four is just incredible! No wonder that they are actually the only band world wide in which every member wrote at least one no. 1 hit!👍🏻 And beside Freddie Brian and Roger are amazing singers as well!!😳
They are actually lead singing lots of songs on the albums!👌🏻 Sad that John always thought he couldn’t sing that well😌😊 would’ve loved to hear him sing😚
see ya !!
Let me just say, I have a huge passion for music... Pearl Jam, DMB, Queen, Jack Johnson, Chris Cornell (RIP, I miss you 3,000), amongst so many others... I hope one day I can get my children (12 year old girl and 5 year old boy) to enjoy music that I love the way you have with yours. And I also hope that one day one of my children can introduce some decent music to me. I love watching younger generations appreciate the fantastic music from previous generations and when that appreciation is shared between parent and child, there is NOTHING better!!! Love it!! I’m a die hard Pearl Jam fan and try not to force it down their throats as you like what you like. I can’t wait to take my daughter to her first PJ show (I’ve been to 42). Fantastic stuff!!
Great reaction guys. I'm either you, what an awesome and emotional performance.
Freddie Mercury is iconic. Talented. Engaging.
I love how the dad is smiling through the whole video 😭😭❤️ Queen is amazing. Best group ever.
Excellent song...."Love of my life" sang in Rio is another memorable reaction with the audience.
I was lucky to see Queen back in the early 80’s! Best show to this day I have ever seen!! Amazing! I love this version!!
Awe man. I wish I was there. I've been coming through alot of people saying they went to a Queen concert in the 70s or 80s and I've been like"I wish I was there" I'm going to one on February 15th in 2020.
I have lost count how many times I have watched this & I never get tired of it or anything else they have done just love love them, Freddie is definitely the best frontman ever, they are all amazingly talented, you should check out some of roger’s stuff too he has a beautiful voice,
FREDDIE... the KING of QUEEN
Freddie Mercury he is wearing his Superman wife beater and old school adidas classic Freddie . Rip our beautiful Queen 👑 They were musical geniuses. And his voice is a gift to all.
since your son is into Queen now, I think he 'll be amazed by Freddie's tribute concert! the crowd at that concert are amazing! he'll be shocked!
Maria m oh yes he will 😮
Oh nice, thanks for the suggestion.
Freddie is not there!!! Don't bother!!! I don't mean to be rude. Seriously! But it's my instant thought! I wish you a great weekend! All the best!
Great performance!! Yeah!!
One of, if not the best performance of Somebody To Love ever UGH ITS JUST TOO GOOD. like hOW?? he puts so much work into every note, adlib, etc, and I love it so much omg
OH MY GOODNESS I JUST REALIZED HIS SHIRT IS A STAR WARS VERSION OF ABBEY ROAD IM GEEKING OUT HERE
Freddie Mercury , He can never repeat: never be replaced ❤️🙏❤️🌹
Hey!!! I'm new here... And I'm one of those people that specifically said to watch THIS SPECIFIC VERSION of somebody to love!!!! What!! Lol! I'm so glad you picked this one!!! Yes!!!!!
They all had degrees - and were a Phenomenal rock band.
I just watched Queen live aid on my mum ipad and I played it out loud. My mum and sis were watching tv and I'm on my mum ipad watching Queen live aid and I just started singing my heart out and I'm excitement going all crazy and I myself felt like literally at the concert and when the video finished, I forgot that I was still at home. You should get your daughter to react to Queen.
Watching Queen always brings a smile to my face. So many memories 😊😊
.Been listening to Queen for over 50 years and you
will never see hear any thing like Queen ever again and beloved Freddie
