Yeah… so having been vaccinated doesn’t make you “okay” if you get COVID afterwards. It means the vaccine didn’t work. The point of the vaccine is to not get COVID or to not be affected by it.

@@DS-nw4eq Getting the vaccine does not equal a cure, a vaccine just lessens the symptoms because your body has antibodies to fight off the virus. Your body creates antibodies from receiving the vaccine, it’s pretty cool! That way when/if you get the illness, boom, your body is ready to fight back ASAP and the symptoms are so much less severe.

My mom would make a soup called “baby pastina” and it was chicken both, Parisian cheese, lemon juice, and pastina. It was delicious, and it always made my throat feel better when I was sick. It’s so cool that other family’s made similar things.I make it now when I’m sick too, and I use vegetable broth and “chicken-less seasoning” from Trader Joe’s. That stuff is the absolute shit in soups.

In every Italian kitchen there is a packet of pastina to be used only in case of flu
It is a common thing here in italy to eat minestra or minestrina when you're sick. Never tried it with lemon juice tbh :) but sometimes in my family we used to add a little bit of tomato concentrate in the broth
I tried to buy some of that mustard but my local TJ's was out, I can only assume Cody has bought the entire stock
It’s a summer item so we only got boxes send for a couple weeks
I would keep giving Kelsey shots and keep telling her its different stuff

I lost my sense of smell when I got Covid in December (still mostly gone) and I can sense vinegar when I smell it. It almost like opens my airways and I cans sense it in my nose but I can’t smell it, it’s weird. When I saw Kelsey say that about the taste I was like, finally someone gets what I’m talking about! Lol

but why are you scared of getting covid if you're vaccinated. that's literally the whole reason to get vaccinated so that you don't have to be worried about extreme symptoms.
the reason their symptoms were so bad( they didnt go to the hospital so for covid i would say it relatively wasnt that bad) with the vax is because they got j and j vacc which is only 50-60% effective rather than 96% effected like moderna and pfizer and others.

My husband and I just found out we have COVID (most likely delta variant), we house & pet sat for people WHO HAD IT and didn't have the decency to let us know they might have COVID. Really frustrating & gross to me also knowing they were traveling and using us to watch their stuff, and they knew how careful we have been about avoiding it. It's day 5 and my husband is much better, it was mainly like the flu for him, never lost any taste or smell, though. I haven't had a fever, just weird aches and pains throughout my body, mild sinus and mild cough, I also still have my taste and smell. Such a weird virus. Also, people that are vaccinated, it doesn't matter, you can still get it and give it to people. Like we all know by now, it is a virus and it MUTATES and it manifests differently in each person.

My grandma used to make pastina all the time for me. Sometimes they were little stars or the small balls. She made it in a tomato soup mix with vegetable bullion and grated Parmesan on top. I miss it so much 😭

I was super lucky and had covid back in February and I am also considered a long timer and haven't got my sense of smell back yet and still have the cough. I'm glad you are on the mend.

This is happening to a lot of people... the cdc director said the vaccine does not stop transmission, and apparently doesn't stop you from getting sick either. Dummies...
@@matthewschaible409 You’re utterly wrong. I Pfizer reduces the chance of getting delta variant of COVID substantially, 80+% efficiency. Reduces severity of symptoms if you do catch it as well. Finally, of course you can still spread COVID if you actually catch it, that’s not a weird thing

I'm so sorry to hear you guys got sick! I am thrilled that you guys were and are fully vaccinated, quarantining, and spreading that to others, instead of spreading covid. :p I'm up in Edmonton, Alberta, just a three hour drive north of where Cody grew up and cases are getting absolutely crazy here because the government almost completely removed restrictions before a long weekend, with a 60% vaccination rate only. Glad you guys ae doing so well. Anyways, Chili is adorable and I need to know how those stairs work out. Also he's in such good shape and I love it
Pastinas are delicious! My mom used to make this as a comfort food as well, but she made it with shredded cheese and would crack 1 egg in it before it finished cooking!! Sooooo good! Definitely going to try the butter and Parmesan cheese!

I had Covid back in February and I lost my taste and smell until April. It's literally the worst so I hope yours comes back faster! Get well soon
