I was surprised too. As someone who lives in italy , the average fridge here is 90% fresh food, 5% water and maybe beer ( other drink not so often), milk, 5% sauces , open jars of condiments or marmelade and things like this

Mom was a hoarder, now she's dying and we have to fit hospital bed and all kinds of medical stuff in that 1bdrm apt that was full just a minute ago. Boy would an organizer have a field day here. For me, it's impossible to do .. there's just so much shit, I feel like lighting it on fire then starting from scratch again.

lots of frozen shit because we drive 30 min to a bulk store and buy 2-3 weeks worth of meals all in 1 go and freeze it rather than getting fresher foods more regularly. yes i hate it

Million-dollar idea - Cody and Kelsey do a reality-type show where all they have is a picture of a single-person's fridge and they match people up based on that alone, then we get to see the couples they created go on a date that Cody and Kelsey design especially for them based purely on what they think they're like judging by the contents of their fridge. Confusing "freezer burn" with "frost bite" just added to the humor in this
it's not freezer burn either lol it's actually frost buildup. freezer burn is what happens to the food itself
a lot of fridges you can't stuff them full because the air can't circulate properly and it breaks down the cooling component faster. we had a deep freezer for meat. every six months there'd be so much frost we had to take meat out, transfer to the main freezer, can what didn't fit if it was going to be out too long, and then either chunk down the frost with a knife, or, if there was a leak with blood or fluid, we'd just unplug and hose the whole thing down, let dry, replug, and repack.

Kinda interesting how people place their items. I share a house with some other people. We dont have a lot of drinks. We usually place those at the door (bottom portion). We place butter, maple syrup, some other random small stuff on the top portion. Kimchi, hummus, pesto, mustard, jam, cream cheese, leftover food placed in the middle. Vegetables in the bottom 2 drawers. Meats, frozen food in the freezer.
I feel attacked from the frozen bags of berry’s that will never be made into smoothies 😑

most of those sauces probably are expired 💀
I'm a sauce fiend, so much so that we buy all out condiments in bulk because I go through them so fast. Letting them expire is unheard of.

As a proud Mid-Westerner it pained me to hear you guys try to figure out what "GFS RANCH" meant 😂. I'm guessing it is "GFS" for "Gordon Food Services", a Michigan-based like bulk food/restaurant supply store. Also explains why the bottle is so big.

my freezer is 6:20 lol, for context my stepmom is a hoarder so a lot of that food has been in there for YEARS. shit falls out every time we open the freezer so it’s a battle to open the fridge, get what you need, pick up everything that fell out and then quickly shut the door before anything else can fall out 😂 somehow, even in a freezer, the food in there has sat long enough to go bad, all of it has gone bad lol. trust me, no effort has been made

My grandma is a hoarder too & every now and then I’ll go through the fridge & hba items & throw away the expired stuff. Expiration dates don’t matter to her
