Africa’s underlying problem is not neocolonialism but rather official corruption, which started from Nkrumah’s regime, bad governance and absence of technology to extract and add value to our natural resources in Africa.
If now fragmented africa becomes a single entity in future and the underlying problems, especially bad governance, now inhibiting economic growth in individual Africa countries persist the continent would still be an empty giant.
So clearly the emphasis should be on good governance in individual Africa countries before long lasting africa union can be achieved,

Bad governance, certainly. But you're delusional if you downplay the impact of neocolonialism on Africa. Critically, the West remains in control of our resources by means of institutionalised corruption. It's only in Africa that when there's an oil find, eg, IOC retains 80 to 90% stake while resource owners are left with a pittance. It doesn't happen anywhere else. What became of it, when Atta Mills, for example, wanted to renegotiate mining contracts? Look, don't argue over this. Just don't.
