    Been 3 months after my first panic attack and it gets better . Yet there were days I felt like it would never end , acceptance was key . And at first I didn’t understand what acceptance was , I thought by just telling my mind that it’s normal it would fade. The problem was that I was trying to tell my mind rather than exercise my mind , accepting that it isn’t gonna feel great some days , accepting that symptoms will be high , and accepting that it’s temporary. Doing the uncomfortable is what actually made me feel less uncomfortable. And for those who are reading , believe in the advice he gives , I would come back to his videos as a daily coping mechanisms and yes it helps! But don’t depend on coping mechanism . You’re stronger than any medication or “quick” fix .

      I was 3 months in as well when I started to feel better. I accepted that it was there and will take time so I stopped trying to fight it. I stopped meditating, stopped deep breathing, and stopped taking supplements. Suddenly I was feeling a whole lot better a couple of weeks later.

    Hey, I watched your videos and it changed my life, I’m like 70% healed I would say, one of the things that won’t go away is urinating frequently. Now I know that your advice is always the same, just keep accepting it. But I’ve rarely seen anybody talking about this, can you make a video on this symptom?

      I've struggled badly for a very long time. Some therapy alongside the videos on this channel, and dp manual channel, and robin schindelka, have all combined to help me feel I'm on the right track now. It's about demystifying all the symptoms, understanding the mechanics of it and understanding they all come under the umbrella of anxiety. Understanding that as unpleasant as they feel, you're not actually in danger - the symptoms are harmless - it's the fight-flight-freeze alarm response going off inappropriately and getting your system ready to run, fight, or play dead in order to survive a wrongly-imagined physical threat to your safety. When we feel these symptoms we instinctively try to avoid situations that might provoke them or fight them or fix them or focus on them and this resistance and fear of them tells our nervous system that it was right to activate the fight flight freeze response because evidently there is a threat after all. And so it keeps doing it. And we hate and maybe fear the symptoms and so we're stuck in this fear-adrenaline-fear cycle. We need to learn that the symptoms are harmless and understand that the way we give our nervous system the chance to stop being so sensitive is to stop avoiding situations, fighting symptoms etc. As hard as it sounds we have to learn to let them wash over us - if possible to even invite them - knowing that your body will stop releasing the adrenaline in a short time, letting the wave of panic wash over you and dissipate on its own. The more we can respond in this way, prioritising longterm freedom over short term comfort, the more our nervous system realises we're not in danger and settles down over time. It doesn't all reset immediately and we have to be patient a while and let time pass while we focus on following this process well and living life regardless of those rough feels. The road to recovery isn't a straight line upward - everyone has setbacks where it can feel like you're back to square one, but as long as you keep responding well and follow the process, recovery isn't just possible, it's inevitable. You will get there my friend! Watch a bunch of these vids and recovery stories and maybe even consider therapy too. But maybe you won't need it. I wish you well.

    I have a question. I had a three week period where everything was fine and no issue. I didn't worry but I had these feelings like I feel happy and content but like my mind was still waiting for some kind of feelings to appear. I was not depressed or maybe I was but its hard to explain. I slept well, meditated for myself not anxiety and I could take simple naps easily. I was not avoiding the feelings just a bit curious why if I am not anxious I cannot feel the way I did but I Was happy my symptoms and my response was working.

    • @SamG.-pq8tv
      @SamG.-pq8tv Před měsícem

      It happens because your mind is still fresh with the symptoms, even if you've felt better, but in the scope of anxiety, 3 weeks is nothing. Eventually 1 month will pass, then 2 then 3 and by the time you know, you'll forget how you felt about waiting for those symptoms to come back because you'll be past it.

    It's all in your other videos. I love your videos, don't get me wrong. But if you keep on uploading 'new content' - don't you think that will eventually trap people into it? Watching your videos and not actually improving? I have learnt a lot from your initial videos, so again, no disrespect or anything, and I do know that this is your business so you have to find ways to keep growing but how are you justifying it? 🤔

    • @byebyepanic
      @byebyepanic  Před měsícem +4

      Are you suggesting that uploading new content is “trapping people?” Glad you’ve learned a lot from my videos. But there are some people who are watching this video for the first time.

      @@byebyepanic Sorry, I think the way I spoke it was a bit rough.
      Hmm, what I meant was, if there are regular new updates, can the viewers fall into the cycle of constantly watching the videos. I think you mentioned in one video that some people end up just watching the videos without taking the necessary actions.
      But I guess that should be the person's own decision and all.

    • @byebyepanic
