Glad that you have a good quality mic - you can definitely hear the difference between your fair vs bottom deal - even in the first 4 player hand you dealt, and continuing into practice. When you were talking about the sound, it was exaggerated, but you can definitely still hear it in your regular technique. The video is great for those wondering what to listen for.
I hate when creators of sleight of hand technique videos feel they have to apologize for being in-depth causing lengthy videos . There are a lot of nuances, flash cover ups, little hacks that each person finds that may offer better performance and lastly when to use and not to use certain moves that are important to cover in a sleight of hand tutorial.
Your videos are fantastic and always on point. Regardless of length! 🙌
That’s definitely fair, Thank you!
For anyone trying to do this it’s all about how you hold the deck don’t hold it tight have a lose grip
Thank you so much for detailed explanation man ... I loved it ... Your's tips are very clear ... I can't wait to learn this move ... 😁😁
Dude, you ROCK!!! I just bought DM’s Masterclass bottom deal and was really struggling. One view of your video helped with my issues. You’re a great teacher. Thanks I really appreciate the help.
does madison did the same techniques?
Yup.
This is the bottom deal tutorial I was looking for! I couldn't learn this from the Mechanic download, I needed to see it closer.
Thanks a lot!
If you can, teach the greek deal from this grip too
took me a couple hours but now im really good at this....im gonna head to a poker game next week too woohoooo!! $$$
I would recommend keeping all fingers on either side of the top corner. And using a minimal move when pushing the bottom card off to then retract the fingers to the corner instead of down. This will get rid of any finger flash.
Also try, if you are able to, second dealing with the same grip. Fair, second and bottom deal.
Last thing is not to lift the deck, as shown in the video as that may expose the bottom card. Instead tilt the deck in the direction in which you are dealing, so tilt right if the deck is in your left hand. Look at Ricky Jay bottom dealing and you'll understand the tilt.
Just some of my own methods but either way great tutorial!
wtf bro just do strike bottom deals
I would recommend just stop cheating. Scumbag moves. What goes around comes back around.
Great stuff, I'm grateful for your help!
Great tutorial on the bottom deal. But with my arthritis it is very difficult for me. But still I enjoy everthing you show us. 😊👍👍
Thank you so much, I’m still really impressed by everything you share on your channel!
@@CardMechanic Thanks. I just uploaded a new video today, with my granddaughter. 😊
Great video really helped me master the deal
Awesome vid, thank you!
Best tutorial! Thanks mate.
Simple and short explanation. Thank you for everything!
Thank you!
Really a good video
Quality content
Thank you so much
Appreciate your work
Keep going ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this
love this. it looks really real! crazy!
Thank you so much!
Super
It’s a great video. I think you should do more video about sleights of hand like this. And I’m waiting for a Greek deal on your channel :)))))
Thank you so much! I’ll do my best to get on that soon
1,000th like!! Thank you so much for this awesome video!
I got this move kinda well, practiced all day for two days
Thanks You So Much BRO 😎❤️
Very nice trick
Good job
yo dude very very nice video i have been trying to do it for about 4 days now i have a question when i come to do the move my middle finger moves out of the way so the other 2 can slip the cards to the sides which causes the full deck to get messy and really hard to keep in shape do you have any tips to fix that cuz i have been trying to get over it but just cant ?
Perfect tutorial. I'm italian and Sorry for my english🤣🤣🤣. Thank you for the tutorial
Very good Tutorial 👍
damn this is a killer game deal :O you could literally win some games within the first round using it !
I love it ❤️👍❤️
any tips on the card being stuck between the meat of the thumb?
good tutorial, not long at all.. in dept is apreciated when you really want to learn
Just subbed nice video thanks.
I need some help about holding the deck after the bottom deal. I managed to do the bottom deal in just a few days, but I cant do consecutive deals. What I mean by that is, when I deal I cant get my hands to the starting position... Maybe I just have small hands? Any tips?
Wonderful✨😍 👍👌
Great tutorial.
Covered just about everything.
There are other methods for this move in case people find one too hard, they can try another.
I don't pull bottom card free, just slide it out on fingers of dealing hand, that way my ring and little fingers stay still, and are not moving up and down the edge of the deck.
I just do things weird lol.
Great vid as always.
That’s pretty much how I used to do it before, it definitely was easier to learn. Thank you!
That's not 'weird', it's there way it's supposed to be done. He says in tutorial to keep both top and bottom consistent, then completely changes finger positions for the bottom. About as far from perfect as you can get.
Be question tho. How do u get all the cards y want to the bottom of the deck
Very very happy
Wow.. loved it
Thanks
Question: If I move my 3rd and 4th finger to the bottom edge of the deck, how do I thumb out just the top card without the cards fanning out sloppily (regular top dealing) I would have used the 3rd and 4th fingers to help keep the rest of the cards in place while I move the top one with my thumb.
Thanks for the tutorial @cardmechanic. I think this is great and the right level of detail.
Thank you! When pushing out the top card with your thumb, you are still going to be using your third and fourth finger to keep the rest of the cards in place. This does require practice but I’m sure you will get it down!
@@CardMechanic I see. I'll keep at it.
I don't think it's that much of a problem. Check out Daniel Madisons bottom deal, he actually does it like that.
I have the same problem, and HAD the same problem with Daniel Madisons tutorial. I’ve ruined two decks trying to learn this from Daniel, and now another deck of cards is thrashed after working from this video. It’s illogical to say I need to use 3 and 4 to push down/out the card, while at the same time holding the pack in place with the same fingers?! There has to be a crucial detail I don’t see here. Even after weeks of training this, I don’t see any meaningful progress or useful insights. What’s happening is I either mangle the bottom card, which btw goes into my palm instead of out, OR the top and bottom cards stay in place and all cards in between slide out in one big mess.
It’s rare that I don’t get something like this AT ALL, usually I get an ‘Ah, like this!’ fairly quickly, but not here. 😔
how many days to learn sir?thank you
Are you going to release a tutorial on the Greek Deal
I'm here cause I had no idea what mechanics grip meant in the movie Rounders
I can't figure out how you can push both top and bottom cards from the deck in the same direction and not make the entire deck slide off your hand. And and the same time maintaining more or less naturally looking grip
Great video
Thanks!
Wow 😮😮
Thank you for the video!
Nice explanation
Thank you so much! I feel like it’s been a while since I have seen a comment from you. Great to see you on here again!
Super
Good thoughts brother on this
hello. still love your tutorial on the tabled faro
Do you use plastic cards ?
cool
Great tutorial............I'm sorry i couldn't do the trick and send it to you..........because i always try to take the video and the video just doesn't turn well and my deck actually sucks... . ..can you make a video on watebend.......because you explain really well ........so as usual *Keep Making Videos Cause I Love Them*
Thank you so much, you still have plenty of time for your video, see if you could have someone record for you!
If you meant waterband then he already did it.
"Make sure the cards aren't super brand-new"
Me, who just bought six decks of borderless cards so I could start working on my sleight of hand
Welp, guess I'm shuffling for the next hour
nice
When dealing consecutive bottoms, how to prevent deck from slipping down!!??
I can't stop the deck, aside from the top and bottom card, from sliding out of my hand. The whole deck kind of gets kicked out when I pull the card down (have same issue with top deal).
I used to have w similar issue when I started doing the bottom deal, I started using my middle finger and ring finger to get a tighter grip on the deck. Also make sure that the deck isnt angled towards the table or it will be easier for the cards to slip out
I watched this cause I suspected someone at my card table was cheating… next time I play with him I’m going to catch him in the act
Do u “load”’the bottom with cards u know? How would u know what’s at the bottom?
heavily depends on what you want to use the method for.
For example if i were to bottom deal a flush hand in poker, i would take out those 5 cards, palm them and add them to the bottom of the deck ready to bottom deal.
I wants to become card magician .... How to start as beginner... ❤️
Honestly i do it completely different. Mainly because i just dont hold the deck that way
I mean so seeing the mechanics grip and deal would get caught pretty easily. Youd use base dealing maybe 2 or 3 times a night? At end of night best i guess. There isnt any homes games or illegal games that dont have dealer and over shuffle master now. Hacked shuffle master just be dirtiest/ best for any crooked game
I have helped more people learn how to deal poker than anyone else in the world. Ask me in one of my 2pm EST Tuesday live sessions why you can't get away with this in a casino. I get asked this question once a month already!
Probably won't get a reply but the cards just slip of the top when I try to slide the bottom one
Dont know why but any tips?
I would recommend getting a tighter grip on the deck, because I know it feels easier to have a loose grip and then pull the bottom card. But a tighter grip will prevent the cards from slipping. Hope that helps!
Practice, practice, practice...
few weeks to months to do it properly? Really i dont know maybe u guys are better in learnin but i practising for years and still needs impreovment... By the way this is neather the hardest nor the perfect method. The hardest and best method is using the non modified dealers grip. but still good handling of you
❤
The Madison Dealers & the “Madison Grip” w/ a summary of the #DanielMadison bottom-deal MC and/or Madison’s “Mechanic” video w/o use of “fingers 1, 2, 3, 4” in description or the use of “fair deal then bottom deal, then fair deal, then bottom deal”... instead, “top deal, bottom deal, & so on”. You even paraphrased Madison’s “don’t make it easy on yourself & look for the easy root buy using a smaller deck.” Smh 🤦🏼♂️
I was JUST thinking that! I'm not too sure how to tag or message channels, but Madison has a youtube channel, if you know how to contact him
Hello
My bottom deal is magnificent. I congratulate myself every day.
Months?? It took Richard Turner years to learn mechanics!! And that was 12-16 hrs a day, 7 days a week, for yrs!! And he’s blind!! Lol
Hii
It is physically impossible for me to move bottom fingers together they dont go together for me.😑😑😑
Watch a bit your knuckle flashes. There's a lot of finger movement.
Besides that, great tutorial, man!
(sorry, I don't wanna be that a-hole that points each and every detail out. Its just that if you show this to a card pro, it will not fly...)
Gotcha, I'm still always working on getting it better! Thank you
@@CardMechanic Well, good luck then!
u must have improved ur deal by now
POV: You can't even hold the deck in place T^T
On Planet Earth a 12 minute and 48 second video is NOT a "long" or "very long" video. Check it out: CZcams has some videos in the 6 to 11 hour range. Unless your target audience has the attention span of a gnat, this is a SHORT video. Even CZcams filters agree.
I wouldn't accept anyone dealing the cards without the cards being cut and the half placed on a cut card.
Fair comment, but there are a few ways to nullify the cut (if you're good, which I'm not)
@@sledgesmith605 most likely. But if you don't have the cards in your hands, aren't the one placing them in the cutcard and placing the other stack on top, I'd say it's pretty hard.
Cop out cards during the game. That’s the solution. Use a Greek deal if the cut card is in play.
can u do a card trick for me
Sure
CardMechanic Larry Jennings slow motion aces
I really need to learn to do this.
I could make a living cheating card games & make Elon Musk look middle class.
your grip hand keeps moving all over the place, anyone who knows about bottom dealing will see this as a dead give away
To avoid being being cheated in card games. Don't play if there isn't a shoe on the table.
How many times have you been busted up doing this?
Stay tuned for "Rube loses all" or " Curb stomped card cheat"...
amazing video but 12 min its not that long video its actually standard
Thanks, it was originally 20 mins, but I cut out some parts that sounded repetitive

This is litterly directly from Daniel Madison, at least credit him!
Your biggest mistake is using the Erdnase grip. I’d recommend either a master grip or a classic mechanic’s grip. Your rhythm is a bit off. Try practicing with a metronome to get the rhythm down correctly.
You’ve got an exaggerated waving motion in your deals which is also a dead give away. Try watching the way you normally deal cards and try to mimic those motions as close as possible.
You’ve still got some knuckle flash which is still visible even with the motion of your hand. Try to reduce the finger movements as much as you can.
There’s some noise when you’re dealing, start slow when practicing and experiment with different ways of taking the card out in order to get rid of that different sound.
Thank you for your recommendations, if you could make a video on it, I think that would be even more helpful
CardMechanic I will. Also the best examples I can give you of the true masters of bottom dealing are Steve Forte and Joey Moriarty(Joeyfx). You can watch their videos on youtube as well to get a good understanding of how a peefect bottom deal looks like.
@@CardMechanic yours require a lot of practice
I'd like to ask a very important question! I've seen the bottom grip performed with 3 fingers at the bottom, " The middle doing the pulling ". In terms of the the cleanest way to do it, What is the best technique to perform the bottom deal? With the Middle pulling down or the ring finger pulling down?
RazzerRaw well, what you are referring to is either the mechanics grip or a variation of it (e.g master grip). When you use an erdnase type grip, you usually need to bend the ring and/or pinky to be able to push the card off. But if you’re doing a push off from the mechanic’s grip, you wouldn’t really need to bend your fingers that much, and the possibility of this finger movement being seen reduces to a large extent, specially if you use all 3 fingers for the push off action.
And for your question about the “best way to do the move” I can say only one thing: there is no best way. Every hand shape is different. The best way to learn the best bottom deal that works for you is to get as many references on the move as you can find (and I don’t mean different youtube videos. Actual books). When you spend at least a few months with each technique, you’ll get an understanding and would be able to develop your own technique which is unique to you. I personally have really long fingers, and because of that, I literally can’t use an erdnase grip push off due to the huge knuckle flash, and my mechanics grip push off is not as motionless as I want it to be, or as people like Richard Turner can do because of their hand size. I prefer a strike technique (both on erdnase and mechanics grip) as there would be far less finger motion, but when the need arises, I would usually do a seesaw bottom deal if I have to do a push off.
Did you just buy DM's Masterclass and chuck away all the theory and reasoning of why the move is done the way it's done and just give the move away for free?
That is a great question bud! And the answer is no
Madison 's technique is only for layman....
Đánh như vậy thấy rỏ quá mà .ko dc đâu

Thats not a long vid a good bottom deal tutorial should be at least 40minuites
Hmm a good Deal Takes jears. The GRIP Tell me everythink Long bevor you Deal The First Card. Even without looking because i can hear it 100 Miles away. You are nice but your Deal needs a Lot more praktice bevor you can teach it
Your Grrrreeeeeeeeeeet
Сдаешь так себе
James Carver is right. Also you fingers are flashing. Badly. This guy can't bottom deal. Please don't learn from him. MID
My bottom deal is a lot easier
In my opinion, it is not good to teach this erdnase version which is hard to perform and does not look natural
The way your fingers move when u dealing from
The bottom is horrible
