2. Mind your tone
3. Be quick to forgive
4. Never bring up past wrongs/ transgressions
5. Don't shout/yell but speak calmly and with kindness. Be mindful of this and deliberate in doing so!

I’ve literally been so bad at all these points for the past year and 3 months with my partner , and it’s caused major issues. One of the worst things I think is the attacking the other person when they’ve dissapointed/hurt you. Instead of getting vulnerable about how something has made you feel, we go into defense mode and attack the other.

This is so true😅. I understand the being eloquent issue, it’s so easy to formulate a response and feed your pride instead of being mindful of the next person’s heart. I’m learning too, I’m so grateful for this.
With kids too, my nephew gets so angry when I shout at him and retaliates in the most unimaginable ways. I realized that shouting is really ineffective, if anything, it’s an ego issue 😅. It’s wanting to being seen & heard that you’re the adult.
When I am kind and assertive towards him, he is so responsive and loving. So I absolutely agree with everything you touched on 😅.
Another one I’ve learnt is maintaining a peaceful internal space, that makes it easier. Starting your day with positive morning rituals e.g. reading, praying, meditation and yoga makes you a loving person and great company because your internal space is cultivated.
