I have made a tool for leveling the frets on guitar necks. The same thing would work here. It's a length of square steel tubing, about 1.5 inches square. You can use stick-on sandpaper, or just hold it in place. Use the non-seam side of the tubing, and sand in varying directions, and you should be able to get that surface smooth.

Seen people use larger box steel for cylinder heads or auto body sanding Boards, even mirrors and glass tables. Made a video showing how I do small parts with a mirror.

I have a Ebay airgap manifold by ( Assalt ) , actually very good quality and straight, works good on a mopar 5.9 magnum.

I have several decent overseas parts, intakes & other. But Speedmaster has a bad rep for a reason.

    Good vid.....

Thanks for the Video....Should you decide to keep it...I would knock those cheap plugs out and simply bore the holes to fit what ever pipe thread plug will fit. Seal them up and call it good. Another thought...perhaps with all the irregularities....you could prevail on them to actually warranty the product.....And replace it with a better one....

Pipe plugs are a great idea, may just do that. Thx for the suggestion!

only thing i ever bought from them was a distributor, I screwed around with it for two days and could never get the timing set, it went back to them and I got a refund and will most likely not buy anything else after seeing more than one video like this

Actually making a video about some of their heads atm and already made one comparing another set to ebay generics.

Yea! You get what you pay for it.
Cheap is cheap, sometimes you can make cheap things pretty well but it’s still cheap

Front coolant port is because vortec blocks are not drilled for coolant bypass like older sbc

heavy duty 3/4 ton and 1 ton blocks are, and also have all the timing cover bolts like an old sbc. basically, if it had 906 heads, its probably got the bypass hole

Still sitting out back with the Donor & Part trucks. Can't wait to get him running and scrap the other two! Actually gonna be making a trip to get some more BUCK parts soon, bought several things last winter for that project. Figured I'd vlog bout the trip since I haven't done one of those in awhile. Also planned to go into more detail on my plans in that vid.

Good Luck Thier Getting It Right On A Return Is Pisspoor ! To Say The Least! I Still Have A The 350 Deep Pan With Thier Logo That Leaked When Installed And We Didn't Even Start The Engine. It Leaked In Their Logo . We Removed The Deep Transmission Oil Pan Took Pictures And Sent Them In. That Agree That Was Defected. But they never sent me the return label and still have not made a attempt To refund me. I even said I would take an exchange if they would express it right away. She took them almost two and a half weeks to send me the first one what a crock of crap. Ordered another one from summit and got it two days and it came all the way from Houston to California. Second one had issues of casting for the temp gauge hole. Sent Pictures To summit racing they would replace it but to try and use some thread sealer tape which I did and it. I don't order speedmaster any longer I will go through summit or somebody else get better service. Also they will stand behind what they sell.

Runners are known to be worse than stock. I dont know why people buy this stuff
Small savings isnt worth the hassle. Buy american while we still got choices guys.
Wont be pretty if they have a stronghold. We will just get more junk at twice the $.
