Absolutely agree with your thoughts. I love Riftwar. It was written in the early 80’s so not sure if that has to do with why Wheel of Time is talked about much more
Right?? 1st book WoT is just about walking. Magician is freaking mental in comparison. Why aren't more people talking about this?
@@timothyburbage Yes, I think a lot of really great books from the eighties and earlier are somewhat forgotten. I loved the Dying Earth series from Jack Vance - especially Eyes of the Overworld (1966) and its sequel Cugel's Saga (1983). It wasn't an extensive series by today's standards, but Vance's prose is beautiful.
I read this series about 30 years ago! I really loved it at the time and have been considering re-reading it.
Thanks for the comment. It's hard when it comes to re-reading. There are so many more unread books out there!
