- San Francisco is a terrible place. If you live there, this is no surprise. Here are ONLY 10 of the reasons why you should never move to San Francisco.
There’s a new man in the neighborhood.
Lives downstairs and he underfoot
Here’s there just to ask me for money
Like he’s one of the family.
San Francisco Oh we’re so over it
San Francisco Oh you used to be lit
Cause you see - now you’re not a place for me.
San Francisco Oh we’re so over you
San Francisco Oh you are now all bad
Cause you see - I don't want no more bad on me.

Thanks for making this video. As a SF native, i hope it keeps everyone out.
Allan Art agreed. I’m from here. The transplants can stay the hell away from here. I hope this is enough of a deterrent for them.

Seriously stay home I hear Topeka is a great place to live or even Cleveland or Detroit. I hate all these people from fly overs telling me my home town sucks. Then stay the f home.
LOL. Where you been? That ship sailed a while ago. It's all transplants now.
Transplants have no vibe no flavor no culture no fire
I live in the Bay Area. I wanted to watch this and complain about how ridiculous your reasons are. But everything you say is correct. I retire in 2 months and I am already packed to move out of CA completely. I will enjoy my future visits but I don't want to live here anymore. The worst is the politics that creates the homeless and addict epidemic and the smash and grab gangs sponsored by overseas criminal organizations that terrorize every citizen who has to park a car on the streets.
The homeless ain’t even from out here
@Tre T yeah usually from red states. If it was up to me I'd send them back
They move there because the dems let them just be- or poop!😝

@@clauaome25 Hey, in red states you have mostly hard working people, not bums. The reason there are so many homeless people in SF is because of the city politicians who make it easy for them.
a city that “bans plastic straws but pass out needles” That sentence nails it on head. THANK YOU.
My country outlawed plastic straws too. 😂 My country doesn’t pass on needles to some addicts though.
Kind regards from the Netherlands
Banning plastic straws and throwaway dishware and cutlery in general is a good thing.

Wow I thought there was some rubbish areas in the UK but after a recent visit to SF, boy what a shithole.
When I was a kid (in L.A.) visiting San Francisco was a treat. It was swanky, elegant a bit snobby. Years later, when I visited again, I was followed around by a bum. So sad to see the decline.
Bum, a word that has fallen out of fashion. Let's bring it back!
Oh my, Hallie! How frightening! Maybe you shouldn't walk around big cities without a can of bum spray.
Man I remember when I visited San Francisco in 2011, beautiful city, even the Hilton hotel was well kept, years later and my first day, 3 separate occasions of Car Burglaries, like really, the amount of homeless in the city, THEY EVEN HAVE SIGNS AT THE LOCAL COSTCO in the parking lot “Don’t tempt thieves” making it seen like Im at the zoo and I’m reading “don’t feed the animals” wtf I was so excited to visit it too

As a native Californian and a resident of SF for 52 years, you are absolutely on point. SF is not want it used to be or will it ever be. Yuppies and gentrification have taken over the City. Neighborhoods are disappearing such as the Fillmore, Western Addition, the Mission, Third Street, Hunter's Point etc. The flavor and ambiance of SF no longer exist. Sad but true.
Fecal matter MATTERS
I agree with everything except for the weather, I like it temperate all year round and there's actually more sun then you'll think there is.
I thought the same as you until I moved to the east bay, then I realized how bad the weather in SF was!

Same, born and raised sf. R.i.P to the old San Francisco that was beautiful and made Sense.
Born and raised in SF for 25 years. Than I left. Was living in Sacramento for a while where I was still close enough to visit SF again. But I found each time going into SF gave me mental anguish, too much traffic, hard to find parking, long lines for every restaurant that's worth trying out. Than the cost of anything there was arm and leg robbery.
I can't stand any of the housing there, it's either old and moldy or cramped and small, I don't need a 5 bedroom McMansion but I still like my space. The homes are so tightly packed that one neighbors rat or roach problem becomes 4 other neighbors problem too.
SF sucks now.
and you better not move to TX and start voting for all these pysco libtards like you did back home. MAGA!

@@NickJohnson There always needs to be a little yin to the yang. Republicans/Democrats are in an eternal false war with each other and are far more likely to clean the other's house than their own. As semi-stressful as the Clinton years were with a hostile Republican House, at least the US managed record breaking surpluses, and Congress still was able to collaborate between parties. The tax raises were actually accomplished by "read my hips" H.W. Bush, and maintained by Clinton. A relatively conservative decade that was fairly balanced because neither conservatives or liberals were running the show and therefore it lacked groupthink excesses. As someone who lives in Dallas, society runs a little liberal these days in a way it used to run conservative in the 90's. I can't imagine San Francisco has any natural protection against unchecked liberal egos.

San Francisco has lost its soul. It used to be fun going to "the City" the people that made up the various neighborhoods are gone, its full of transplants that have ruined it, they came here to go to school and never left. That's how that happened, I seen it.
Absolute truth thank you

In my book you're "irrelevant" I know places in sf you've never seen. People like you have a lot to learn about free speech.
The rest, you re right on. It was thee place for artists and nice people until about 1995. It was perfect and fun before 1995.
Yep, I remember SF of that era very foundly!!! Who could have imagined this type of a future for that iconic city? R.I.P San Francisco.
Yes. I remember being sad my cousin had to move out of state in '96 because rent was getting expensive in SF. Her junior-one- bedroom apartment was like $1,800 a month. She lived on the top floor of that walk-up and it was $4,000 a month last time she checked. And she was making good money then, or so I thought.
I agree. I left in 1996
Yup. Then the dot-com boom - the first one - killed it. Completely sucked the soul out of the city.
Absolutely great neighborhood Mexican, pizza, and Chinese food places. Sunset and Richmond either side of Golden Gate park. Miss it.
Moved to Canada from SF 5 years ago. Best choice I've ever made in my life.
How is it there?
"OH Canada"
Which city in Canada did you move to?
Gosh you made a great choice. Believe it or not San Fran had won, for like 4 or 5 years consecutively, an award for "The Cleanest Big City in the USA"
This was in the early 1990s. I was a student at UC Berkeley and my wife was crossing the Bay Bridge every day to attend UCSF. We'd go to Fisherman's Wharf, Pacific Heights, all the neighborhoods, there was no homeless problem, there was just a huge tourist- and student-friendly city with a lot of cool things to do - SAFELY.
What people don't know is, turning large parts of California into drug havens benefits a certain group who have a long history of 'owning' politicians. The chaos, the hopelessness sells dope. The fact that San Fran now has, as part of their budget, a large ongoing expense item for drug needles - that's all we needed to hear.
We got out of that state in late 2017. We thought we were late to leave because so many of our friends had already left. But my god it got so much worse after we left.
Your decision was probably one of the best decisions you have made - the good things that attracted people to that city and state are sort of gone now. We moved to a state where gas is $2.50 a gallon, there is no state income tax, we bought a large 4 bed/3 bath custom home, with a huge pool in the back yard, on a 1/4 acre in a gated neighborhood in one of the most exclusive zip codes in the county for $375,000 in late 2017.
San Fran and Silicon Valley have a 'sketchy vibe' now. Crime has gotten way out of hand. Gangs from the immigrant population are a big part of that, and the massive homeless population, and the druggies. The entire area IS SHOT. They have blown it to pieces.
The state has so much going for it. But it is being very poorly managed. It's sort of like if a great company suddenly got very bad management and employees were unhappy - they would leave the company.
.
.
Let's hope you don't keep voting Liberal.
I looked at Zillow this week. There are only 3 houses listed for sale in San Francisco for less than $1 million....only 3.

Good video and so true ! All of it!
SF was pretty cool in the late 80’s-mid-90’s.
Sam Francisco was pretty cool in the 1890’s!
I lived there the entire 1980s. People were nice and apartments were affordable. Went to the University of San Francisco. Even though it was generations ago it was really great. And I'll leave it at that. Would like to go back and see what's going on.
That what they say. I was there in the 90s and remember people complaining about the tech folks back then. Sad to hear how it has gone downhill. I still consider SF and NYC my favorite cities in the US. But probably won't move back to them. Unless I become a multi milianare. That ain't happening.
80s to 90s was when it was like mecca for punk, indie, alt, artist types as well as one of the safe cities for LGBT+. The state governors should have done more to encourage tech companies to headquarter in LA, San Diego, Sacramento, or even San Jose. All of them have far more space and would do less damage to those cities and their culture. Silicon Valley should not exist, it should just be considered a nice suburb area of SF. City would be much better right now if it weren't ground central for tech.
For sure...the last good years
The number one reason why is because it's too freaking expensive to live there.
I liked the video, pretty dope 👍🏻

I've lived in many cities (SF, San Diego, NY, Miami, NOLA, London) and tbh, they all have their issues. In general, your experience is directly proportional to the attitude you bring. Each city I've lived in has had both things to love and things to hate about it. Your political party is barely relevant in the equation, although I agree SF leans heavily on the liberal side. I've been in the SF bay area for a little while now and despite the crazy high cost of living here, I like it so far. It's not for everyone. You just have to have realistic expectations.
Yes it's a great town
This is written in the narrative of a 'takers' perspective. "What will this city give to ME, how does it meet MY needs, etc.." As you said, like anything really, you get what you give. I've lived in SF 5+ years so no not a native but enough to have some say in the matter, and yeah the rent sucks (you can get a decent 1 bdrm apartment for $2k/mo btw), parking can be a pain, homeless is an issue and so on..but if you take the time to learn the issues, know your neighbors and support the things you care about you may have a different perspective in the end
Well said. I feel if its not for you please leave. The city has an atmospheric behavior about it thats beyond the human on human experience. It as if the city/bay area itself wants you to bring love and care to it and it will reward you. Totally agree its your attitude and what you bring to it, but i hope those who doesn't want to be compatible leaves. Do the humans who want to be there a favor and spare the trouble to the city who has a way it wants you to behave
Politics very important in SF

Great opening theme. Rock that Casio keyboard from the 80s!
The city is built directly on the fault line, a ticking time bomb

All the money that this city bring are from giant tech companies and yet they can't fix the homeless or COL issues? Such a shame, not too many places in the US have the ocean, mountains and metro area in close proximity. Not to mention the decent weather all year round. Guess I'll stay in OH

Instead of raising the minimum wage, they need to try to curb inflation. Especially housing.
Yes, you should not be allowed to sell your home or property for the amount you want or can get. That seems to be what you're proposing, right?
Kathrine Kerns you spitting straight knowledge. The people of San Francisco need to do better at cleaning themselves up, & make it a more convenient, efficient, and marvelous place to live again.
Not much the city can do about housing prices without messing with the free market. As far as rental prices, SF has some rent control which targets low income residents. But again NOT everyone who wants to live here can afford to live here. And if you cannot afford to live here, then my suggestion is don’t try to force it.
DJ Electro 2000 SF is a great place to live if you aren’t struggling financially.
If the minimum wage is such a great concept then why not raise it to $80 an hour? Then everyone will have a high standard of living.

I lived in the Bay Area for 5 years. I just moved to Minnesota this past September. Rent is expensive because apparently lots of people are still moving there.
I have experienced lots of peace of mind since I moved. I’m looking more happier since I moved. If you’re not making tech money, there’s no reason to be there.
You couldn't have picked 2 more different places to live in, really not fair to compare. SF is the second-most densely populated urban city in the US of A, and Montana is one of the most least densely populated areas. San Francisco has an average yearly high of 71 degrees to an average yearly low of 47 degrees, a 24-degree difference. Montana has an average yearly high of 83 degrees to an average yearly low of 10 degrees, a 73-degree difference. But both places do have buffalo and a Democratic Governor.

I'm from the UK and visited San Francisco a few times in the 90's. Would like to go again, but it sounds like its not the same these days. There were plenty of homeless in SF then too, and they were a lot more annoying then the ones we have here!
If you're actually debating a visit to SF, disregard this video and just come. I'm a firm believer that it's still an incredible place. The culture has changed, but the national narrative of the city's decline is totally false
Being from the Bay Area a lot of us love to bash San Francisco for what it's become. However, it's left wing politics is prolly one of the many reasons COVID never really became an issue. I went back to SF this past week, and the city was back to life. Apart from the Tenderloin, the homeless were barely visible. Tech may have made people snobbier, but there are still a plethora of open-minded people who are easy to talk to. I think the city is great despite everything listed in the video.
@@HenryPPMN - No it's not. The Corrupt Politicians have destroyed it. The crime is off the rails, and the criminals have been enabled/ given a free pass. Walgreens has closed 12 stores in SF, and others also have closed (or are considering it). The Plandemic hasn't helped things either. I have a friend who lives in SF and his car has been broken into twice in 2 years (laptop and other valuables stolen).
I'm SF born and raised for more than a decade in the 1960s until we moved to the Peninsula and then South Bay in the 1970s. I was a Democrat my entire life until a decade ago. Anyway, I remember what the entire region used to be like (60s, 70s, 80s, 1990s, etc.) And it has changed for the negative a lot since the Democrats took exclusive Authoritarian One Party control (a corrupt Communist Kakistockracy of sorts).
@@Sovereign_Citizen_LEO again I disagree with you. Financial District and Mission absolutely feel the brunt of the homeless crisis, and local politicians have been inept at combating it. I’ve lived in the city for the last 5 years and have never once felt unsafe or had a crime committed against me. I’m sorry but your use of the word “plandemic” sort of diminishes your credibility from my perspective. SF is certainly different than it was in the past, but I still think it’s a pretty awesome place. I truly believe that the “democratic wasteland” argument that the right loves to make against it is super fabricated and played out
So sad. My first impression of the States was when I landed there in the late eighties and SF was a cool place to be. I've been to other places in the states since and one of the things that got me about SF was that it had history. Not to much concrete and steel and I loved the hills, the Victorian buildings, the parks and the bay.
To be honest though a lot of the criticism on this video could be levelled at many western cities. I loved London for the twenty years I lived there but it had it's rough areas and now it's far too expensive and restrictive. Everywhere has got much more dirty with a lot of homeless people around but that's more to do with the way society has developed with the rich getting richer and the poor being left behind.
I still want to go back to SF someday when we've tamed this Covid situation, in fact I would love to do a whole stateside tour if I get the chance...
I’ve loved living in SF all my life and only begun to recognize its flaws after visiting other cities
Then you go to 78 countries around the world like I have and you figure out America with its problems is still very much better by far then ant other country in the world. When things open back up to to Europe. Its nice but has there share of problems. Go to central of South America and see real poverty. This wont be teenager junkies and middle aged bums. It will be children. The people are so nice though.
Can’t see the forest because of the trees..
Took a while for the light bulb to go on hay?
Must have there liberal blinders on!
@@theodoresmith5272 shhhh liberal commie
It's a shame what has happened to SF. 20 years ago it was great. It's the extreme liberal politics that is the real problem.
Uh San Francisco is run by center right corporate democrats i hope that what you mean by libreral, because its always been anti progressive.
Your right at in neo liberal corporate politics but that’s both of the us’s parties.
@@ciaranbrk yes I said in the 80's the only difference between the republicans and democrats is the dems only have one foot in the middle ages.
Uh yeah its the liberal politics that allowed the tech companies to drive our price of living through the roof😂🤣😣
@@analogboi HAHAHAHA!!!;)
This was amazing. Thank you for the sub plots 🤣
I live in the Sunset district in SF and it’s nowhere as bad as you say it is... I don’t see a lot of homeless, I don’t see a lot of sh1t, the people are not bad at all (probably because they’re mostly Asian), politics wise, idk much so no hate pls.
Edit: btw, I honestly think all the negative points of San Francisco, and California in general are exaggerated for propaganda purposes. Change my mind.
What truly sucks is I live a few hours away further north and people from SF are selling their homes there and buying up all the homes in my area which has driven up all the home/rental prices beyond what I can afford anymore.
I live here in Stockton almost 2 hour from San Francisco
Very professionally done
Totally inaccurate and biased. Must have picked up his info from the RNC
Great song 😂😂😂😂 Great video! Had no idea! Suffered through the Netflix movie "Fatal Affair" which had the best scenes of San Francisco..Well...this dampens my fantasy of travelling there.
Going to binge watch the other videos.. Quite revelatory💛
haha have fun there's a lot of them :)
the little song at the beginning is hilarious 😂😂
#11 it's one of the MOST expensive city in the whole US..to live in..
@dan cussin Welcome to CALIFORNIA..
@@sjtanman welcome to commiefornia..lol
dan cussin presidio is nice haha
I have not been to SF in nearly 30 years and doubt that I ever go back. It's certainly not a place to vacation.
Guy Davis it’s a beautiful place to vacation I go about 4 times a year
AJ yeah it’s like Florida it’s cool to stay in Miami but I could never live to much humidity
@charlie cheeseface so did I 35 years ago. In 18 months I attended 2 conferences and a board meeting in SF and thought it was wonderful.
if people don't even know what bathroom to use, it's a liberal sinkhole.
we haven't missed you
Thanks for the warning....I would have never imagined these horrors.
Lol love the video thank you. and it also reminded me of a prince of Queens video while he was still with us on this s*** whole planet😆
Is there a single problem in this world that wouldn't improve with less people ?
There's plenty of space in the US my friend. People tend to flock to the cities and I just dont understand it. I live in northern California and it is beautiful and wide spread open country. Plenty of room for everyone, but for some reason, a lot less people tend to gravitate towards that life
Or less cars. No parking no peace.
The fact Dunfermline Athletic usually play to a two thirds empty stadium?
@@wshouse4 people are like ants, they want to live in the ant hill. I live in rural so. dak. we have plenty of folks leaving cali and colo coming here all the time, mostly good people, but a few nutcases.
I live in San Francisco and I love it. Saw the title. Had to comment
Liberalism is a mental disease......are you surprised????
I live here also... And I love Frisco... It's not for broke motherfukers that's for sure.... Yeah it's dirty but what city isn't......
@A Rob It’s no dirtier than LA
A Rob “it’s okay because _____ also has it” ignorance is bliss. Visited every city in the southwest. Phoenix is revered to be dirty west of downtown. But compared to the entirety of San Fran - Phoenix is Singapore
You are so correct you are so correct on every level. I lived in the city as a musician for five years in mid the 2000s. At first it seemed awesome but then it just got worse and worse. I left in 0 7 before it even started getting really bad.
I love all the songs 👍
Ok!
Overall what is happening to our country? We give out billions in foreign aid with Israel receiving $3bill per year +. The smallest, richest country in the world yet we could use that money for affordable housing, food for the poor, fixing our highways that are filled with pot holes plus a whole host of other problems. Take care of home first the others can wait!
People from san Francisco are already ruining Oakland it's sad seeing some change.
SF weather is one of the best. Mild hoodie weather all day everyday. No need to deal with blazing hot summers or snowing or raining seasons. It's never too humid and too dry. And the sun shows up all the time; classic CA blue sky with not a single cloud in sight.
It took me a while , but he’s singing the theme song from Charles in charge 😂
If you're talking about California, San Diego is tops. Beautiful scenery and the world's best climate. I was born and raised in New York City, lived most of my life in Miami, Fl., and now live happily in San Diego. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
Smh what a sheep.
Is San Diego safe❓
@@yourmumsy1081 yes the crime rate is below the national average while most cities are close to doubld
Salute and cheers to you everything you said was right on point I still live here I'm an artist that moved here from Dallas been here for a long time personal life change for the worse
The last time I was in SF was 1997. Glad I haven’t been back. San Diego is still pretty cool
Awesome video I went there in 2011 for 8 days June 21st. I found the people not very friendly....I was kinda disappointed. It was a nice trip though
Back in the 80's SF was so fun and alive, I was sad when I had to leave. Now it is straight up depressing. An average of almost 1 person a week jumped off the Golden Gate bridge in 2018. I know 2 people that had to pay a $680 parking ticket. What the hell happened to this place?
It's amazing how accurate this documentary is very true the people are cold here it's a dirty it's expensive I was born here I will always come back here to San Francisco I will never abandon it.
Love the singing.. especially the poo part. 🤣
Gotta visit!
Please do not put liberals & extreme leftists in the same category. It would be like assuming all conservatives are right extremists. Big differences in both parties.
The attitude of people in SF has been going down hill since the 60's. Just think what it will be like in say 10 years!
See Baltimore.
You're so right. Lived there for 2 years and it sucks. Love your sense of humor. lol
I'm enjoying this video but why is there a footage of Singapore at 8:46 in a video about SF? 😂
