I urge you to watch all of them since beginning, you wont be disappointed!!!
this 100% my favorite movie series, grew up up watching all bond films! So good, but i do like Daniel Craig's bond the most.
Please can you watch doctor who
Please go back to 1962 Dr no and watch all the James Bond films from there
This movie does so many things that other Bond movies dont do and thats why its so great. The Bond girl actually being a human being with a real personality, Bond also being humanized, the twist of the main villain not actually being important at all and being unceremoniously killed, James being new to the spy game, etc. So many great things. In a way im sad you started with this one because none of the others can compare.
Ay man, few movies in general can compare to Casino Royale so it's fine that the rest of the franchise can't compete, it's like, can you actually name many movies that can? It's a short short list, and I watch them Criterion shits too, I've been around the block
Goldeneye is great
@@Atlassian. Also directed by Martin Campbell (Mask of Zorro, Casino Royale)
Well, Bond girls often get a fairly deep personality - but there usually is at least one 'disposable' one, per film, or at least, per Bond.
And we get that in Quantum of Solace and Skyfall, too.
I agree with the villain. But many Bond women have had a genuine personality and strength to their character before this movie. Especially Tracy from On Her Majesty’s
Been a Bond fan since I was a kid watching with my dad. This one brought me back to the series. No flashy gadgets. Just witt, charm and fists.
shame it never continued - Skyfall was good though.
@@pauledwards9493 true… Skyfall and Casino Royal are my top movies of the Craig lead series.
“No flashy gadgets” that’s what took you out of a series that you grew up loving? 😂💀
@@GoldMegamind yes because it’s an origin movie… slow introduction to gadgets made it less campy and a bit more grounded than the older movies.
Casino Royale and Skyfall are both top 5 James Bond films for me, others from before Daniel Craig’s tenure are “You Only Live Twice” (ninjas, secret villain volcano lairs, piranhas, etc.), “For Your Eyes Only” (really underrated entry in the franchise) and “Goldeneye” (probably my favorite in the series because of the tank scene, the Bond Girls, and the video game it inspired)
Goldeneye is a god-tier film. The others are meh.
@@lelouchvibritannia4028 the action in goldeneye didn’t age well. Also Vesper has more interesting dialogue than the old Bond girls
@@lelouchvibritannia4028the others mentioned aren’t meh they’re just as good
Fun fact: Casino Royale was the very first James Bond novel written by Ian Fleming before he proceeded making the other 13 novels, which are the original movies with Sean Connery, George Lazenby and Roger Moore, starting from Dr No to Octopussy. Great movies 😁😁😁
Edit: Even though The Living Daylights (Timothy Dalton) is its own movie, it’s part of the Octopussy novel as a side story.
I wouldn’t say “great”, they had their moments but had a lot of flaws specifically the racism & racial stereotypes
Bond films categoristics are. BOND GIRLS, INTRO SONGS ,CARS, FASHION, LOCATIONS, GADGETS, THE MARTINI, and the Bond Theme of course..
YES! This one is an all-time great, regardless of whether you’ve seen other Bond films or not
Finally. Time for Primate to sink his teeth in to another great series. Can't wait for Skyfall and No Time to Die, both are fantastic!
Overrated
No time to die stinks it was woke asf for one and I hate the ending
@@itzbp9949 woke because black woman right. They didn't undercut Bond at all just for being a white dude, and they gave Craig's run a fantastic sendoff by injecting some much needed sincerity into the character.
@@dankshine916 nope nothing to do with her I actually liked her character. I hated that they made women not interested in him and him only being tied down to madeline it didn't work because that's not who is character is but because its the 2020s they decided to change that to pander to feminists. And him not having his 007 name was stupid. And making Q gay? Like wtf was that. And not to mention other stupid things in that movie
@@itzbp9949 fair enough on that first bit. But everything else was done imo to better suit a final film. Bond is a pretty static character, so breaking down those tropes and making him more personable felt right to give Craig's version good progression and finality. Also the Q thing is unnecessary but also not a big deal in the film anyway, pretty concerning if that made the film worse for you.
The JB series is known to have some of the best stunts in cinema. Skiing off mountains, skydiving without parachutes, an epic tank chase in Goldeneye, are just some highlights.
You don't know how much I am excited for this to drop, this is a top favorite of mine in the James Bond films that Daniel Craig appeared in.
I haven't missed a Bond film in a theater since Golden Eye. When I was a kid, every Thanksgiving, TBS would marathon all the classic Bond films. I became a fan very quickly. These movies are so much fun. No matter at point you start watching this series, it's a fun rabbit hole to get lost in. When you finish the Craig films, I would love to see your reactions to his predecessors. Thanks for doing what you do. Please keep it up.
You're almost at 100K subscribers. Keep on grinding bro. Great reaction! 👍🏿
this movie is so sweaty. nobody be sweating in movies anymore but realistically everyone should be sweating constantly in these action flicks. they put in WORK.
everyone is casino royale is sweating all the time and I respect the realism. very, very wet film. very moist.
The guy he chases towards the beginning was one of the earliest adopters of free running and is credited with inventing parkour so not surprising he is smoother than Daniel Craig haha
Jeffrey Wright plays Felix, and he is PHENOMENAL in Sam Jackson's Shaft (2000), he also played Colin Powell in W. (2008). He's been in Source Code, the Hunger Games series, and most recently he was Comissioner Gordon in The Batman (2022); lot of other stuff too, but those are the biggest standouts that I can remember.
When they cast Craig I was super worried. He did not look the part... but I'll be damned if by the end of the opening scene I wasn't sold on him. He OWNED Bond. He became Bond.
I love Felix in this. "What about the winnings?" "Does it look like we need the money?" so god damn cocky. With good reason to back it up.
Cant wait for the Skyfall reaction. My favorite Bond movie with Daniel Craig.
Skyfall is next level filmmaking
Coming from a huge James Bond fan, (it’s one of my all time favourite film series) I have a great sugggestion for how to watch all 25 films in the series in a really satisfying way since you started with the rebooted timeline.
First, you watch Quantum Of Solace next as it’s a direct sequel to Casino Royale, then watch the first 20 films that make up the classic timeline and then finish with the next 3 films of the rebooted timeline. The third film of the rebooted timeline, Skyfall, reintroduces a lot of elements from the classic timeline (the film was released in 2012 and was very much made as a 50th anniversary celebration of the entire series) and also takes place after a big time jump from Quantum Of Solace.
It’ll be a long journey but totally worth it and I hope you consider doing it 😊
Other Daniel Craig movies worth checking out:
In Cold Blood
Layer Cake
The Road to Perdition
the guy bond chases at the start is considered that creater/founder of parkour
This movie was the first time I ever saw a Blu-ray Disc in a movie and ever.
Oh bro you’ll love the Bond films! I’m so glad people are reacting to these!!
Must’ve missed this on Patreon, but I can’t wait to see your journey through the Craig Bond films
That classic car Bond won in a card game is a Bentley Blower which is among the first cars that Sean Connery’s Bond drove.
Excited to watch you get into these, a James Bond is one of the best movie franchises of all time and it's super easy to become a fan
I too did a modern James Bond marathon last year. Good flicks, they always have really good stand out scenes and setpieces.
James Bond 007 was created by Ian Fleming.
IRL former government operative who became a best-selling novelist.
Casino Royale is the first Bond novel and introduction to this legendary series, published in 1953.
Also known as "The spy novel to end all spy novels".
After 20 films, filmmakers wanted to finally bring 007 back to the essence of the original concept.
Daniel Craig is the best Bond since the franchise's first actor: the late, great Sean Connery.
Unlike the other films, Craig's era is fully connected and well envisioned.
There is so many things that connect to Bond's legend and for a lot of people, this was the utmost introduction.
Dame Judi Dench who plays as M, this is her 2nd set of films in the role for the franchise after The Brosnan Era.
The Aston Martin is his signature vehicle, so he does drive 2 of them in this installment (classic and newer model).
You may choose to watch the older films.
But this is a pretty good start.
Not too bad.
Yes! Thanks for reacting to this. GoldenEye is my favorite of all the Bond movies.
For a modern Bond film, this is as good as it gets. I recommend watching them all, but if you don't want to go that far, Dr. No (the first one), From Russia With Love, Goldfinger (for its iconography), On Her Majesty's Secret Service and The Living Daylights are some of the best of the series. For Your Eyes Only is quite good, but the rest are varying degrees of cheese, some better than others. Pretty much the first 6 are iconic (the 60s ones). This movie is so good because they picked the right actors and the dialogue and plot are a modernized version of the Ian Fleming novel. The story was right there on the page. And Martin Campbell is easily the best modern Bond director. He made Pierce Brosnan tolerable for me, despite the juvenile one-liners. Here, there's less of that and more storytelling. Not that it's humourless, but it's just not completely ridiculous.
This is my personal favorite bond movie
Craigs Bond (thats Crayg not Creg ffs) is the first to show how physically difficult it is to do the job at his age. Parkour at start near finished him off.
Many of the James Bond films start with a cold open that show the end of the assignment that Bond is on before he gets the assignment that is the story of the movie. During the 1980s when I first began seeing the Bond films in the theaters, that opening almost became formulaic. As you dive deeper into the Bond catalog, I will be curious to see which James Bond you gravitate to as your favorite. A lot of people form an attachment to the first actor they see portray James Bond; others will have an idea of what the suave and sophisticated spy should be like and pick an actor that exemplifies their own personal mental image. It's a deep rabbit hole, and a fun one to explore.
The American CIA guy plays Gordon in The Batman, that's probably what you recognize him from
Craig's bond run was really good. 3 out of the 5 films were top notch.
That actor is Jeffrey Wright, gordon in the batman
Hunger games, and watcher from what if
Fun fact:
The guy who was chased by Bond on the construction side at the beginning is an athlete who basically invented "Freerunning", which is a form of parkour. So the crazy running, jumping and climbing skills he showed while running away from Bond were all real :)
A good recommendation would also be Layer Cake as he was picked for JB from that film
Great suggestion. Layer Cake is fantastic.
"Did he drug him? Did he Cosby him?" Welcome to the world of Bond...James Bond. Great reaction video ItsAPrimate !!! Keep it going !!!
Thanks!
By the way the old guy's name is Mathis, not Mathias. That's the name of the Rock's character in The Scorpion King.
This version shows a sociopathic assassin for real.
I'm happy that this is your first Bond movie. One of the things you would have realized if it wasn't, is the interaction between whichever Bond and whichever M is key. You really need to understand that before you get to Skyfall. I strongly suggest you step back to Goldeneye and then go sequentially. Dame Judy Dench is outstanding as M.
The chase scene between Bond and the bombmaker is one of my favorite chase scenes.
to this day my favorite bond movie
Defiance and layer cake are amazing Daniel Craig movies
The CIA operative who fronted Bond the money for the match played The Watcher in Marvel’s “What If?…”
I hope you get to reacting to the OG bond movies. B4 Craig. I’m really excited for those
The perfect antidote to Die Another Day😂
Great film series. Great reaction. Cant wait to see you do the next ones!
Thanks!
Every man suffers just watching the torture scene lol
You've mentioned the N64-Game and that one was actually based on one of the very best 007-Films: "Goldeneye" from 1995, the first of four to star Pierce Brosnan (whom you last saw in "Black Adam", if I remember correctly)
One of the darkest Bond movies ever made. In an interview m, following the release of Daniel Craig's last Bond film, NO TIME TO DIE, he was asked if he regrets leaving the franchise.
He told them, "No, none at all. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm not as young as I used to be."
Now if only they did the same with Sean Connery and Roger Moore.
Oh wow. Good thing you started with the Daniel Craig movies. They would have seemed really bad after watching the Pierce Brosnan ones.
The Daniel Criag ones continue off of each other, The Original Movies are stand-alone adventures like the Indiana Jones Series, with reoccurring characters.
Speaking of Indiana Jones Indys Dad played by Sean Connery was the 1st James Bond and Indy was sorta based on James Bond according to George Lucas which is why Connery was cast as Indys dad.
I do beg that you do the whole series after the Craig ones I'll be there for all of them.
Goldeneye on N64 was great and that film is DOPE!
Eva Green is stunning in this
A great series. These are a kin the The Dark Knight Trilogy-it will be hard for them to top in the upcoming series. Any future bond films will be compared to the Craig films.
The winning hand that Bond had is a easter egg. 7♠️ is obvious. 5♠️ refers to the past 007 actors before Craig.
This is my all-time favorite James Bond movie.
On a side note: The trailer for The live-action Ahsoka show just dropped, you have got to see it dude.
"Bro, everybody had a STACKED hand!!"
Definitely the most legitimate criticism of this movie. When you hear poker players talk about this movie, even if they love it, they'll tell you the hands in the card games are preposterous and that's not how real poker actually works. Not that a killer hand never happens... more like, it's not "killer hand gets beat by EVEN MORE killer hand" so regularly. Often the hands are unremarkable because you're not playing the cards... you're playing the people.
ANYWAY... about that opening. You'll note that M calls Bond a "blunt instrument." That's the way she sees him because that's the kind of agent he is.
Weird to be watching these first considering later movies making references to other past films. Yes, its reboot but knowing the history of certain aspects makes it more enjoyable including homages, certain music pieces and characters and the easter eggs and twists. Been doing a rewatch of these but its so long. Finished Timothy Dalton's run and now gotten go through Pierce and then Craiq's after. Its interesting to watch the older films and see how far the series has come.
Casino Royale certainly broke the mold of what a traditional James Bond movie is supposed to be. One of the best. Quantum of Solace though is a different beast. Its a shorter and more fast paced version and a true sequel. Whilst older Bond were connected via characters and references, they all felt somewhat stand aloneish. Quantum was technically the first proper hardcore sequel to a Bond film and it came about during the writers strike so its flawed sadly and they only had like 5 weeks to edit the whole film together so don't be too rough on it when you get to it lol. Nothing is gonna beat Casino Royale. Its too good.
daniel craigs film have a lot of easter eggs from the oloder films so it would have been nice to do them all but i know there is a lot casino royale is a reboot however its also the first book by ian fleming but they couldn't get the rights to it early. also gOLDENEYE is a reboot in the series also directed by martin campbell in the Brosnan era. hopefully you try to watch others there also cool to watch
Daniel Craig has some pretty solid Bond films but this one is my favorite
The car James won is an Aston Martin DB5
This movie is awesome, but so is No Time To Die. That one is my favorite.
always been my favourite film and probably will always be my favourite film
You should check out Goldeneye!!!!
You should watch the 007 movie called Golden Eye. The game is based on it
The Ogs are worth watching too imo
Maybe it is chump change, but a mint DB5 goes for around a million pounds (1.15m US) and are VERY rare. I’d be fuming.
Top 10 movie of all time🔥
Great ! But it's a shame you didn't start at the beginning with Dr No from 1962 and react to all of them. It's a long serie but worth it and I would have love to watch you react to all of them ;)
I hope you'll decide to do all of them (26 movies in total) at some point :)
He didn't have to; the Daniel Craig films are all in their own universe.
Yeeah love this one!!
There are a lot of references to the previous films in the Craig films that are lost on people who didn't see the older films. Also, the Craig films seem like their trying to be more like Jason Bourne movies than Bond films. Other than the books Casino Royale and From Russia With Love, the original books by Ian Fleming aren't particularly serious spy adventures. Most of the books are like the adventures from pulp magazines from the 30s. They feature outlandish villains with extravagant schemes. They may not be as campy as the films became, but they weren't written to be what international espionage was really like. The Craig films are fine. But they lost a lot of the wit, charm, and fun of the earlier films. If all you know of Bond is the Craig films, you really don't know Bond.
If you're watching James Bond. Watch the classic series from Dr. No to Die Another Day 1962-2002
3:10 after that statement I wonder if he realised how wrong he was
Wish you had started with Dr. No, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
I'm Glad You're getting into Bond and I'm glad you like Casino Royale but in my opinion it was a BIG Mistake not to star out with the original Dr. No 1962 and go chronological from there
Just so you know all the Daniel Craig bond ones are all one long story so be sure to watch them all,I've been a huge bond fan since I was a little kid
Loved Casino Royale. The second one Quantum of Solace (2008) is the least popular one! But the third one Skyfall (2012) is a absolute Masterpiece and is the best James Bond movie out of all the sequels!
Best Bond movie imo
i recommend watching sean connery bond movies
You should have started at the beginning with Sean Connery :)
Love it
Yeah buddy!!!
I hope you do all the Daniel Craig ones
Best Bond film in my opinion
Just watch from Russia with Love and Goldfinger. Then jump all the way to license to Kill and go from there.
Fantastic
Your going to love Skyfall !
Honestly you can watch any bond in any order. Definitely just skip to Skyfall next. Then maybe test out the other actors ones Connery And Dalton stand out as the best up with Craig
4:27 Parkour
You should watch the Roger Moore James pond movies
Can’t wait for Skyfall and No Time To Die
The croupiere gets half a mil as a tip? Fuck architecture I'm in.

Impressive very nice, you've got four more to go now
Tbh I was gonna comment if you can react to John wick 4 then just realized that it's still in theaters and I was like noooo cue it's such a good movie so I hope you can react to it also James bond is amazing too
Plan too once it comes out on streaming!
