The actor at the start is a French parkour professional, one of the founders of parkour actually. The DBS flip was at the time in the Guinness World Records for the most amount of flips; I am not sure if it still holds the record. The director Martin Campbell also directed Pierce Brosnans 007 Goldeneye - definitely recommend it!
GoldenEye is fun, but it's cleaaarly not the same league as Casino Royale, which may be the best Bond movie ever made.
@@SCharlesDennicon this is what I say! I feel like I can’t compare Daniel Craigs era with the older Bonds because their style is so different. I always say Craig is my favourite Bond and era of film production, and Brosnan is my favourite from classic era Bond
@@SCharlesDennicon It might have been better if Dalton was James Bond. Sadly, it went to a pretty boy model with the one liners of a 13 year old boy from a goofy NBC crime drama where he didn't even play the spy. He was basically the stand in for the woman, who was the real spy. That's kind of how I felt about him for his entire run. Yeah, yeah, you made the peanut gallery laugh and cheer, now when do we get the real James Bond? Goldeneye would have been better if Sean Bean (Alec Trevelyan) had been 007. At least he had a tough, believability about him as a government spy to go with the suave. He could have been a bad-ass James Bond.

I just thought about it, and one thing I love about this movie compared to the others is that there aren’t any disposable ass henchmen that Bond has to mow through, like this dude is never fighting more than like 3 or so people at a time, so you feel it more when a dude gets bodied, Bond has to work extra hard to merc these guys and you feel like he’s in deep shit way more often because he’s gotta outsmart and outfight bad guys who aren’t like shit at their jobs.
The opening Gun barrel for this movie is superbly done!!
I still think this is Craig's best Bond movie tbh.

Love the reaction Matthew. 👍 34:04 Yessir. That is for sure one of my favorite things about this Bond movie vs. other action/spy movies: crisp, clean action. And so visceral, with close ups on Craig, the bodily motions each combatant makes, and the after affects, as with the shower scene. As the first target asks in the opening re: Bond's first kill: "Did you feel it?" -- yup, all movie long.
I’ve watched all Daniel Craig’s 007 movies, including the first one with Sean Connery (Dr No), this week. I saw Spectre in theater, but I rewatched it anyways to refresh for No Time To Die. Skyfall is so far my most favorite 007 movie. Enjoy the journey while you can 😁😁😁

@@greatwuta All Daniel Craig’s James Bond movies and Dr No were the only 007 movies I’ve seen so far. Until I see all of them, Skyfall remains #1. It could change

While I agree with most of the people shouting out their personal preferences, watch the series however you want Matt. There is plenty of fun to be had throughout the entire franchise; all the way from the beginning in Dr. No. As with anything, some haven't aged well and other have, there are some great ones and there are some bad ones. But I will say that IMO with the exception of Lazenby, each of the actors, has at least one good Bond film worth a watch. Lazenby's, one movie is the only one I'd say skip, but that's just me. Even the really campy Bond films can be a blast, specially if you have someone to watch and cringe/laugh/joke about with, they also make fun drinking game movies. Just be careful not to drink shots for Moonraker and Die Another Day, you'd die of alcohol poisoning, their so campy, cheesy, cringey!
Anyways have fun and hope you enjoy the franchise.
